In this vital role, you’ll:

• Manage your own caseload of pecuniary legacies, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
• Liaise with solicitors, executors, and supporters to resolve queries and uphold our legacy policies.
• Support the team in maintaining BHF’s reputation as a trusted and professional legacy recipient.
• Help maximise income from bequests, directly supporting our life-saving research.
• Demonstrate ability to engage sensitively with bereaved families.
• Confidently balance workload demands and ensure completion within required timeframes.

Legacies account for over half of our income, making this role central to our mission to beat heart and circulatory diseases for good.

About You

You’ll have experience in legacy administration or managing large volumes of client records using a case management system. You’re confident working with data and understand the importance of accuracy and sensitivity, especially when dealing with personal or financial information.

Your communication skills are excellent and you approach conversations with empathy and professionalism. You’re comfortable using Microsoft Office and other IT systems, and you know how to stay organised and manage competing priorities in a busy environment.

You enjoy working as part of a team and are always open to learning and sharing ideas. You thrive in fast-paced, purpose-driven settings and are motivated by making a positive impact.

Working arrangements

This is a fixed term contract ending on 30 September 2026 covering Family Leave.

This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week, on average, in our London Office. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

About the role:

This role is expected to provide remote evidence site administrative support at Caerleon police station as required alongside supporting the local service delivery team. This role is based in Pontypool Police Station, Pontypool, it is offered on a hybrid working basis and there is a requirement for travel throughout the area.

As a Service Delivery Assistant you will:

• Provide high quality administrative support to the team and service
• Update and maintain manual & computerised database & case management systems & records
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, telephone and general queries into the service
• Collate information and correspondence to internal and external contacts
• Liaise with referring agencies to improve referral information and the general referral process for victims
• Providing general office administration support including photocopying, filing, data entry, ordering of office supplies, processing invoices, raising purchase orders and minute taking at meetings

You will need:

• Effective verbal/written communication and numerical skills.

About the Role

As a VAWG Caseworker, you will provide structured, tailored support plans based on holistic assessments for individuals affected by crime. These will be predominantly female victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking, however, could be victims of any crime or gender. You will make initial contact with victims via the telephone, then tailor the support to the Victims preferences i.e. home visits or via conference calls, to explain our services, and assess the impact of crime. Your responsibilities will include developing, delivering, and monitoring safety and support plans, providing resources, interventions, and information to service users.

As a Caseworker you will:

• Manage a caseload of self-referred & referred service users, providing information & advocacy to help them navigate the criminal justice process.
• Conduct risk & needs assessments, ensuring each victim receives tailored support & information.
• Identify barriers to accessing services & work with partners to provide ongoing support.
• Keep accurate & confidential case records.

About You

You will have an understanding of the impact of crime on victims & experience in delivering services within a statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency setting. Experience in managing a caseload and of completing risk & needs assessments would be beneficial.

You will need:

• Strong written & verbal communication skills.
• Competent IT skills, able to use generic systems.
• Good organisational & time management skills, able to manage competing needs and priorities.
• To work effectively both as part of a team & independently

About the role:

As a Family Caseworker you will be joining a passionate and committed team who provide a high quality and bespoke support to our service users. As a fully trained Homicide Family Caseworker you will be responsible for managing your own complex caseload to the highest quality standards.

You will be based in the South Thames Valley, with a primary focus on Berkshire but will also be required at times to cover Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire. The role is home based, but with the expectation to travel within these specified regions as well as a requirement for occasional travel outside of these specified regions. About the Role

As a Children and Young Persons Caseworker your responsibilities will include:

Support of the development and implementation of the CYP Service Model for supporting children and young people who have been affected by crime. Developing and delivering innovative interventions to address the needs of children and young people who been affected by crime. Work closely with children and young people in the Service to involve them in service design, delivery and evaluation. Manage a caseload of up to 30 cases.

As a CYP caseworker you will

• Deliver support to young victims of crime using appropriate service guidance
• Policy framework
• Develop and enhance local key stakeholder relationships.
• Maintain and enhance service delivery standards and effectiveness
• Reduce the risk factors around the young people.

About You.

Proven track record of successfully delivering services for children and young people and successful youth engagement in a comparable role within a service-driven organisation of comparable size, scope and complexity

Knowledge of safeguarding issues relating to children and young people

The role: This is a rewarding role where every day brings the opportunity to make a positive difference to people's lives. We regularly receive testimonials from service users describing the life-changing impact of receiving support from our caseworkers in the National Road Victim Service.

Working location: mostly remote work with some travel required. Based in the north/central area of the South West region you will deliver a face-to-face service to clients in their own home or safe meeting place across the Dorset, Avon, Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire area  as well as providing support by Teams, phone, email or other means to suit the service user. We take a person-centred approach so the amount of travel will vary depending on your caseload at the time. You’re in control of your own diary. 

Why this role is important: Every 20 minutes, someone is killed or seriously injured on UK roads. For families affected, the emotional and practical challenges are immense. As a Caseworker, you will provide trauma-informed care to individuals and families suffering from the sudden bereavement or life-altering injury of a loved one. Full training will be provided under the guidance of our dedicated Training Officer. About the Role

As a VAWG Caseworker, you will provide structured, tailored support plans based on holistic assessments for individuals affected by crime. These will be predominantly female victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking, however, could be victims of any crime or gender. You will make initial contact with victims via the telephone, then tailor the support to the Victims preferences i.e. home visits or via conference calls, to explain our services, and assess the impact of crime. Individuals and families can access a wide range of support from food parcels to mental health support, help with isolation to debt advice etc. The Helpline links into over 100 voluntary sector organisations locally and into grassroots networks of residents offering support to each other. The Helpline has a strengths-based approach to its operations, with callers often helping others after they have received some support.

How are staff supported to work remotely? 

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community. 

When you need to travel for work, expenses will be paid (mileage or public transport costs).  

VoiceAbility offers the usual regular manager one to ones, Staff forums and communities of practice depending on role. Team meetings with a mix of virtual and in person approach.
