Job description

The Royal Meteorological Society is the UK’s Professional and Learned Society for meteorology.  It is respected around the world for its role in promoting the understanding of weather and climate science. 

We need a Membership and Accreditation Manager to strengthen engagement with members to increase numbers and income and improve retention.  You will ensure our members are engaged, inspired and proud to be members whilst promoting our Professional Accreditation and Vocational Qualification programmes.

The successful candidate will need proven experience in one of the following and a working knowledge, an understanding or willingness to become proficient in the other two: weather or climate science or the meteorological community; development of a membership programme; developing and delivering accreditation schemes.

The Society is a charity dependent upon the support of its professional and amateur members. Our activities include professional accreditation, developing education resources, producing scientific publications, holding events, providing advice to Government and policy makers and providing information to the public and media on the science of weather and climate change.
