About the role
The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in supporting the effective delivery of services, projects, events and member communications across the organisation. Working closely with the Head of Services and colleagues across teams, the postholder will provide high-quality administrative, project and operational support, helping to ensure services run efficiently and members receive excellent support and communication.
This is a varied role requiring excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, strong communication abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Services Administration

The award-winning ISM is the dynamic, change making professional body representing musicians. With a current membership of over 11,000, the ISM is known for its wide range of services to its members from legal to health and wellbeing. The ISM is now looking for a highly experienced Administrator and Secretary to work alongside the Chief Executive. You will have very strong administrative skills as well as advanced knowledge of using Microsoft office packages such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. You must have experience of ensuring good governance at Board level including preparing Board papers and drafting and circulating Board minutes. This is a critical part of the role as well as drafting a wide variety of correspondence.
You will also be responsible for aspects of risk management such as health and safety. The Chief Executive is a senior leader in the music sector so you will need to be able to demonstrate absolute loyalty, discretion and confidentiality as well as excellent common sense and good judgement.
If possible you should have a music background.
You will have at least 5 years’ experience working in Governance/ Administration or as a PA/ Secretary and will be used to working to competing deadlines with high levels of accuracy. You will be joining a professional staff team who are based in Bayswater, London. The role is 28 hours per week.

We're looking for two Events & Marketing Assistants to join our small, busy team at Portsmouth Cathedral. It's a varied, practical role that sits right at the heart of our commercial operations - coordinating venue hire bookings, setting up for evening concerts, supporting licensed events, and everything in between. Alongside this supporting the marketing for our events and the wider organisation as a whole.
No two weeks look quite the same, and roughly half the role takes place during evenings and weekends. The pattern of hours will vary week to week in line with the Cathedral's events programme. In weeks where no events are scheduled, the postholders will work standard office hours. There are two posts available with a proposal to work three days each of 21 hours.

Key Responsibilities

This is a key role overseeing both the day-to-day operation and strategic development of the Philharmonia’s Box Office and CRM function. The successful candidate will play an important role in developing ticketing and customer strategies that maximise sales income, improve conversion and enhance the audience experience.
As a public facing member of staff, the Box Office and CRM Manager will be a key representative of the Orchestra, ensuring customers receive a welcoming, efficient and accessible service whether booking online, by phone or in person. A proven track record of delivering excellent customer service is therefore essential.
The role will also lead on the effective management and ongoing development of Tessitura, supporting audience insight, segmentation, reporting and customer journeys across the organisation.
