Main Responsibilities:

•  To provide facilities management to all YMCAES sites across East Surrey. This includes 5 housing schemes and one sports and community centre all owned by the YMCAES together with six family and youth centres that the YMCA lease from local authorities. 
• u  To manage a team of three maintenance technicians (full and part  time), and facilities administration assistant and to be responsible for their training and professional development 

• u  To be the Health and Safety Officer for YMCAES to ensure that the organisation complies with all current legislation and to encourage good practice throughout the YMCAES. 

• To be responsible for ensuring all risk assessments are up to date and accurate:
•   to carry out regular building risk assessments
•  where necessary support and advise staff in completion of risk assessments
•  to ensure fire risk assessments are carried out in accordance with legislation and good practice
•  To be responsible for the maintenance of YMCA buildings and sites. Including preparation of cyclical maintenance plans and to arrange and supervise necessary major works to be scheduled and safely carried out in accordance with the project plans. 
• To be responsible for managing the online maintenance system (Pyramid) ensuring accurate recording and reporting of:
• daily reactive maintenance tasks
• planned and cyclical maintenance tasks
•  all regulatory building compliance requirements.
•  To manage YMCAES building contracts and to comply with the Accepting Contracts and Procurement policies and procedures. 
• To be responsible for the compilation and upkeep of the preferred provider list of contractors.
• To put in place and manage a call out system for managers to respond to any emergencies relating to buildings.
•  To be responsible for all ground maintenance including management of a ground maintenance worker and/or external contracts. 
• u  To maintain the fleet of vehicles owned by YMCAES, including insurance, tax, MOT, fuel and maintenance.
•  To support HOCS for responsibility of all insurances required by the YMCAES. Ensuring compliance with legislation and efficiencies and effectiveness of all policies. Also, to ensure that necessary inspections and certification of lifts and other equipment are carried out as per requirements of insurers and current legislation.
• To provide the CEO and Head of Housing with advice and guidance around technical and regulatory requirements on YMCA property developments and acquisitions of new buildings.

 To work with the HOCS to prepare a budget for central costs (buildings and vehicles) and to manage this budget through the year. 

To prepare and present a report to the quarterly Governance and Risk Committee which has a remit for overseeing the organisational risk management framework, incident reporting and regulatory compliance. 

•  Any other duties are required to be performed within the grade and renumeration of the role.

DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose:To manage the facilities and services that support the core functions of YMCA East Surrey (YMCAES), including maintenance across multiple sites.

To be the competent person to oversee all health and safety matters across the organisation

Hours of work:35 hours per week , Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm.

Main duties:

Maintain email distribution lists and update and maintain the guidelines database.

Help Senior Guidelines Officer and Senior Education Officer to maintain up-to-date information on the website (Task Force membership, publication dates, events, case reports, images etc) as well as archiving, removing, and adding new guidelines, events and audit templates when required.

Maintain and update audit templates data and audits spreadsheet.

Aid Senior Guidelines Officer to add audio and written commentaries to guidelines and good practice papers on website when required.

Help Senior Guidelines Officer with summary, uploads and statistical reporting.

Work with the volunteers to ensure courses are aligned with learner outcomes.

Support the development, delivery and evaluation of the online education programmes and resources in collaboration with Senior Education Officer and relevant staff members/committees members.

Events Manager

The Events Manager is a crucial role at the College, as you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of the College’s annual flagship conference. As Events Manager, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to ensure this event is executed to an exemplary standard.

You will manage the Conference Committee and work closely with College Officers, Members and internal colleagues including the Creative Content and Marketing, Children and Young People and Corporate Services Teams to deliver our high-profile conference. Helping to ensure impactful campaigns are created to drive delegate registration and engagement, you will also be responsible for producing detailed project plans and RASCIs for the conference.

Reporting to the Head of Events, you will provide support with the tracking of event expenditure, managing supplier procurement processes and negotiating with suppliers to guarantee value for money. Taking the lead on all College relationships with internal and external service providers, you’ll also ensure that site visits and assessments are carried out where necessary, making certain that insurance, legal and Health & Safety obligations are adhered to.

In addition to the flagship conference, you will support the wider team in the delivery of other high profile engagement activities including international conferences, membership ceremonies, regional member events, dinners and a number of ad-hoc events according to College priorities. You will also deliver virtual events as required, taking the lead on researching virtual event solutions to ensure that the College meets shifting member needs.

Educated to a good standard, with demonstratable experience of delivering large scale (1,000+) educational or scientific conferences, you should have a background of working with external professional conference organisers along with experience of working in a membership or not-for-profit organisation.

Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills with colleagues, internal and external stakeholders and suppliers are essential, as are outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.

With a good understanding of project management methodology and how to apply it to events, you should have a sound knowledge and insight into the wider event industry, in order to keep up-to-date with trends, developments, innovation and legislation. Solution centric to enable innovation, you must be able to adapt to changing situations.

Line management experience and the ability to motivate and develop direct reports is essential, whilst an event management or project management qualification, along with experience of running events outside of the UK would be desirable.

The Membership, Policy and External Affairs Division actively promotes the membership, stakeholders and the public awareness of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) and core child health priorities. 

The RCPCH sets and maintains standards for the education and training of all doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK. We advocate on child health issues at home and internationally. Additionally, through a variety of activities, the College influences the quality of medical practice for children in hospital and in the community.

The RCPCH has more than 22,000 members and fellows and employs around 200 staff, most of whom work in our London office in Holborn. We have smaller offices in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Policy Manager to join our team. This position is based in the Policy and Public Affairs (PPA) team and reports to the Director of PPA. As Strategic Partnerships Manager, you will collaborate with the Head of Strategic Partnerships, New Business Manager and Senior Membership Officer. This is a key role in a global team working with a range of experts and specialists with in-depth knowledge of both the global Girl Guiding Movement and the international development sector. You will focus on new business, generating income from new corporate partnerships that are aligned to WAGGGS’ vision and purpose.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, engage, and cultivate new corporate partnerships at five and six figure level supporting a team target of £1.7m.
• Develop creative and innovative funding propositions for corporate partners.
• Research and subsequent engagement and networking to identify potential strategic partners, including managing and maintaining pipeline.
• Represent the organisation and participate in external events (globally) to promote WAGGGS’ interests, brand, and mission.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with good understanding and experience of individual giving. The main objective of this role is to drive income to the hospice from individuals, growing and retaining donors through direct mail cash appeals, regular giving, lottery, in-memory giving and legacy promotion.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Developing an individual giving strategy that builds on previous successes and learnings, which looks to significantly grow our contactable community over the next three years and maximise the lifetime value of our donors.
• Project managing a variety of fundraising campaigns and events
• Managing a programme of supporter direct mail appeals
• Developing In Memory giving income
• Managing and developing our lottery income and our relationship with Local Hospice Lottery
• Developing engaging supporter journeys for key audiences to encourage repeat giving
• Managing the development of the income and expenditure budget for our IG programme
• Managing our In-Memory Fundraising Officer

This role will be working with internal teams, external suppliers, and third-party providers to develop and test propositions.  The post holder will work to acquire new donors and suppliers, segment our data, and maximise insight into our donors to support our growing individual giving stream.  We have ambitious targets for this programme and lots of opportunities and an appetite to test and learn.

 The Brent Centre for Young People is looking for an experienced, dynamic person to join its Clinical Administration Team.

The Brent Centre for Young People is a charity based in North West London (Kilburn) that provides psychotherapeutic treatments to young people aged 11-25 years, who suffer with emotional difficulties and have mental health needs. The Centre has an international reputation and delivers world-leading evidence-based practices to young people across North West London. On average, the centre helps over 700 young people per year through its In-house and Outreach Services.

We are looking for an experienced clinical administrator with strong people and communication skills to help run our clinical services.

This post is an exciting opportunity to be part both of supporting the growth of this new service and supporting clinical administration at the Brent Centre within an existing small team.

The suitable candidate will have at least two years’ experience of clinical and/or general administration and reception duties. This post will suit a confident, reliable individual with strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.

You will be expected to be confident in IT skills (including the use of Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level) and apply them to recording data accurately on a daily basis on our client database.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates a high level of professionalism, can work to regular deadlines, can problem solve when faced with difficult situations, adheres to confidentiality and can communicate professionally, politely and effectively with young patients, their families, our clinical and non-clinical staff team and our external contacts, such as GPs.

The post requires sensitivity to the needs of young people with emotional difficulties and the nature of therapeutic work and their families. Experience with young people or with mental health is advantageous.

You will be expected to work a range of shifts between 9.30am to 6pm, 10.30am to 7pm and 11.30am to 8pm, to be agreed.

The candidate will have excellent skills, when carrying out duties of the post.
