About the role
The Administrative Assistant (Advice and Information) role provides important administrative support to our small, friendly Advice and Information Team. The role will focus on providing administrative support to the following two parts of the wider team:
- The Outbound Permanence service. This provides specialist advice by email, supported by legal research, country-specific written guidance, and individual consultations where necessary, to local authority social workers and lawyers considering the placement of children in care proceedings with relatives and friends overseas on all legal orders. The service also delivers regular training and events.
- CoramBAAF members’ Advice Line. This covers all aspect of adoption, fostering, kinship and related areas in the UK. It is busy and popular with professionals, primarily social workers, who use the service. It offers telephone and email advice, prioritising speed, and quality of service.

Job purpose
Part of the Policy & Engagement department, the Senior Communications Officer is responsible for devising and supporting strategic communication initiatives that elevate the College’s visibility, advocate for the importance of sustainable ophthalmology services, spotlight our work and values, and promote membership. Main responsibilities
Strategic communication planning
- Plan, deliver and evaluate multichannel communications campaigns and plans – working with colleagues across the College to identify objectives, target audiences and key messaging.
- Contribute to developing and implementing communications strategies to increase the College’s profile, promote its work and the importance of ophthalmology, and support membership recruitment and retention.
Content development and management

Media relations
- Identify new and nurture existing relationships with editors, journalists, commentators and producers, expanding and updating our contact list.
- Develop and implement a schedule of strategic media engagement, identifying new opportunities upon which the College should capitalise.
- Handle day-to-day proactive and reactive media relations, including acting as the first point of contact for media enquiries; writing and pitching comments, press releases, quotes, and op-eds; arranging interviews; and working with international, national and local media.
- Record, monitor and report on the College’s media activities, coverage and performance.
- Work with the Communications Manager to brief and commission training for College spokespeople.

The FFLM is tendering for accountancy services. We are a registered Charity (1119599).
FFLM prepares its accounts in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 and Accounting

the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102).

management structures. All accounting, reporting, and compliance responsibilities for IFAS
are handled within the broader framework of the FFLM.
Our staff work entirely remotely, and we do not maintain any office space. Due to our size,

This is a critical role in a vital organisation. In this re-imagined role, you will be responsible for securing income from trusts, foundations, major donors and legacies, in addition to revising and developing the fundraising strategy.
The successful candidate is likely to bring a demonstrable track record in securing income from a range of sources, including trusts and foundations. You will enjoy leading and managing teams and working strategically as well as ‘hands on’ as your remit will include establishing relationships with new, existing, and previous funders.

We’re looking for an experienced Trusts fundraiser to provide maternity cover and hit the ground running. You’ll take on a robust pipeline and inherit relationships from a portfolio that includes multi-year partnerships with major funders such as Children in Need and John Martins.
Working closely with a highly experienced and supportive peer, you’ll enjoy a shared, balanced portfolio and the space to focus on great fundraising. With a responsive Data team, access to strong stories, and excellent internal buy-in, this is a rare chance to build on solid foundations and deliver high-impact work. As Fundraising Manager – Trusts and Foundations, you will:
- Take on a well-established portfolio of trusts and foundations with a combined value of c.£850K, delivering a mix of templated and bespoke applications
- Collaborate closely with a peer Trusts Manager, sharing responsibility for monthly submissions and stewardship
- Maintain and build relationships with existing funders, ensuring excellent reporting and donor care
- Work cross-functionally with the Data, Marcomms, Finance, and Care teams to develop strong cases for support
- Support joint cultivation and engagement events alongside the Philanthropy team
Ideal skills and experience:
- A strong track record of securing 5- and 6-figure grants from trusts and foundations, including multi-year funding

We are seeking to appoint a Workforce Education and Training Development Manager to join our team at the British Psychological Society. The role delivers a variety of activity, predominantly linked to the area of pre-qualification such as accreditation, workforce development, qualifications and careers activity.
This specialist role is integral to the Society’s work in supporting new innovations in workforce development. The key purpose of the role is to manage key initiatives and programmes related to the psychological professions, including apprenticeships development, standards developments, competency mapping, CPD activity and the identification of niche or bespoke education and training offers.
The post-holder will seek to identify and nurture broader access into the psychological professions, whilst ensuring quality is maintained. The role is largely externally facing, with responsibility for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across both the public and private sectors and all four nations. It is responsible for identifying future trends, representing and promoting the society and the psychological professions to external audiences.
In addition, the post-holder will work closely in collaboration with colleagues across the organisation, and external stakeholders, on a wide range of projects relating to the Society’s strategic objectives for Workforce, Education and Training.
