About the role

• Delivering support to people who are experiencing homelessness and are rough sleeping in the borough of Tower Hamlets.
• Conducting person-centred assessments with those who self-present at the service for support
• Agree plans, in conjunction with service users, to move into accommodation and access specialist services which will address the underlying causes of their homelessness. 
• To make referrals into Tower Hamlets and Pan-London local authority housing options services, using Homeless Reduction Act
• To work with partner agencies to provide joint support to service users where appropriate
• To build relationships with housing providers and the private rented sector, to increase the portfolio of affordable referral routes into accommodation.
• You will have excellent communication skills and can create positive working relationships with a wide range of people, including external services.
• You will support the development of the service and ensure that you are delivering a solution-focussed and strength-based approach.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented Operations Officer to play a central role in ensuring the smooth running of Animal Equality UK’s internal operations and supporter services.

This is a varied role covering administration, finance, data management, supporter care, and event coordination. You will be the first point of contact for many of our supporters and stakeholders, providing excellent service while supporting team members across all departments.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. JOB DESCRIPTION

• Culture and internal support: Act as a culture ambassador, upholding Animal Equality’s values of professionalism, resilience, accountability, and compassion. Strengthen communication between teams and ensure effective use of project management tools. Identify and lead process improvements with guidance from the Operations Manager.
• Supporter and donor care: Serve as the first point of contact for supporter queries via phone, email, post, and social media. Provide excellent donor support, including thanking donors, resolving payment issues, and sending mailings. Maintain supporter and volunteer records accurately in CRM systems and ensure compliance with GDPR.
• Finance and reporting: Process expenses, supplier payments, and support budget forecasting. Assist with Gift Aid claims, monthly data uploads, and finance reports. Prepare scheduled reports and presentations to track progress against objectives.
• Team processes: Support recruitment processes, including application handling, interview coordination, and onboarding/offboarding schedules. Ensure smooth induction for new staff and manage equipment, training resources, and access.
• Events and operations: Assist with the organisation of internal training, team meet-ups, and supporter events. Support health and safety measures for team members and volunteers at peaceful protests, undertaking risk assessments and first aid training. Manage stock and campaign materials, fulfil supporter requests, and oversee mailing logistics.
• Data and systems: Conduct database cleansing and maintain accurate supporter, volunteer, and executive records.

The Associate Director of Philanthropy (Major Gifts) will take a pivotal role in leading major gift fundraising activities, helping to deliver transformational impact for young people across the UK. The successful candidate will bring a substantial track record of personally securing significant (six-figure) gifts and experience in building major gift fundraising programmes. The Role

As Global Head of Finance, you will lead a small, dedicated international team, overseeing strategic financial planning, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance across UK and US entities.

You’ll play a key role on the Fund’s management team, ensuring financial integrity, promoting sustainable growth, and partnering across functions to embed strong financial practices organisation-wide.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role, offering the opportunity to guide long-term financial direction while staying closely connected to day-to-day operations and people.

• Financial planning, reporting and strategy: managing annual budget cycle, produce monthly, quarterly and annual finance reports.

• Investment, Treasury and External Relations: Monitor and management investment and cash accounts across both the US and UK – optimising returns. Managing external banking, investment and lease negotiations, managing annual vendor negotiations and renewals globally.

• Team leadership: Lead and support the finance team, reviewing outputs, resolving issues to support high performance. Oversee financial training to all budget holders to maintain financial literacy and accountability across the organisation.

Essential experience

• Professional financial qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead on the launch of a new RG proposition and ensure that the onboarding and onward journey is fit for purpose.

• Look for opportunities to thank our donors and communicate impact at key moments. 

• Work with key stakeholders to ensure we grow our Regular Giving file, through acquisition as well as retention.

• Manage a variety of individual giving fundraising campaigns, from agency briefing, through to launch, meeting six figure campaign targets. 

• Work with digital fundraising colleagues to create integrated, multichannel campaigns and an effective, donor-first giving journey. 

• Remain flexible and rapidly respond to emergency situations. 

• Work with the Data team to identify the best approach to data and segmentation for each project.

• Manage production processes, developing supplier briefs and managing approval stages and end of campaign reviews. 

• Manage donor research and mystery shopping as required, using insights to inform creative decisions. 

• Manage campaign fulfilment. Monitor responses to identify issues and opportunities. 

• From time-to-time support with Donor Care activities if required.

• Ensure cost effective fundraising, manage individual campaign budgets and identify opportunities to improve ROIs.

Bank Support Workers have the ability to accept any shifts available on an ad-hoc basis across from all of Look Ahead's specialisms including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Homelessness and Young People. Bank Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. Role Purpose:

The Helpline Supervisor will provide support, guidance and supervise the helpline advisors and in the future helpline volunteers. The role will further provide emotional support and debriefing for the helpline advisors and volunteers during each helpline shift and when appropriate after each reported incident. They will also oversee the quality of service and ensure each report is dealt with appropriately to a high standard and that reports are logged appropriately recording all relevant information, ensuring data is protected and all procedures are followed.

• Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance and emotional support to helpline advisors.

• Supporting property management tasks including reporting repairs, monitoring health & safety, and maintaining high accommodation standards
• Supporting residents to access relevant networks, training, life skills, and community resources
• Promoting resident participation in the design and running of service activities
• Working flexibly to meet the needs of the service and taking part in continuous improvement initiatives
• Deputising for management when required. 

About You

We're looking for someone who has knowledge and understanding of Offender Personality Disorder, able to share this with others and act as a mentor to resolving complex cases. You'll bring experience within a similar environment to the role, and have experience in supporting similar residents with areas of social care, supported housing, and community support. You will have a commitment to person-centred support and have an understanding of the importance of trauma-informed care, able to lead by example.

You’re able to manage competing priorities, respond calmly to crisis situations, and maintain professionalism under pressure. You’re not only a great listener and communicator but also you're someone who builds trust, encourages growth, and helps people feel heard and empowered.
