At Ambitious about Autism, we're currently looking for a Trusts and Foundations Manager to join our Fundraising team.

You'll drive the growth of our income from trusts and foundations. You will manage and develop an increasingly diverse portfolio of charitable trusts, foundations and Grantmakers, in the £20,000 - £100,000 funding range. You'll identify and implement new high-value income opportunities, as well as building on and managing existing high-value relationships.

You'll develop and submit high quality funding applications, focusing primarily on high-value bids, advising and guiding colleagues on the development of project plans, project budgets and identifying outputs and outcomes. You'll ennsure funders receive the appropriate level of acknowledgement and recognition and feedback on the monitoring of inputs, outputs and outcomes, in line with their specific requirements.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Considerable experience of high-value trusts fundraising in the £20,000 - £100,000 grant range.
• Experience of establishing and managing effective relationships with decision-makers within high-value trusts and statutory bodies
• Excellent writing skills, and extensive knowledge of how to write a compelling, winning large 5-figure bid.
• Extensive knowledge of monitoring processes utilised by grant funders and understanding of outcomes and impact approaches

Team: Night Shelters 

Location: On-site at Glass Door Night shelter venues in the boroughs of Kensington & Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham or Wandsworth 

Duration: 1 November 2025 to April 2026

Reporting to: Service Manager – Night Shelters 

Shifts available:  5:00pm to 10:00pm 

Job Purpose

As a Night Shelter Manager, you’ll be the lead staff member for your shift, overseeing the safe and smooth running of one of Glass Door’s seasonal night shelters between November and April. 

You’ll work alongside Overnight Homeless Shelter Workers and volunteers on your shift to make sure the shelter is a welcoming, safe, and respectful place for up to 35 guests. Your role is to set the tone for the night: briefing the team before opening, welcoming and inducting new guests, explaining our shelter guidelines, and ensuring everyone knows their responsibilities. You’ll be the first point of contact for any issues during your shift, whether that’s supporting someone in distress, addressing concerns or responding to challenging behaviour. 

You’ll also ensure shelter procedures are followed, keep accurate records of attendance and incidents, and maintain clear communication with the casework team so they can follow up with guests. Alongside leading operations, you’ll actively work with guests, volunteers, and colleagues to create a friendly and supportive environment where everyone is treated with dignity. 

This role is ideal for someone who can remain calm under pressure, lead a small team confidently, and is committed to supporting people as they work towards ending their homelessness; all while making sure the night shelter runs smoothly from start to finish. 

Job Description 

As the lead staff member for your shift, you’ll be responsible for the smooth and safe running of the shelter during your working hours. You’ll work closely with Overnight Homeless Shelter Workers and volunteers, setting the tone for the night and making sure everything runs to plan. 

Your main responsibilities will include: 

• Leading the shift – Oversee the running of the shelter during your shift, making sure guests, staff, and volunteers are safe and supported. 

• Briefing the team – Hold a short briefing before opening to make sure everyone understands their roles and responsibilities for the night. 

• Welcoming guests – Greet guests warmly, induct new arrivals by explaining shelter guidelines and behaviour expectations, and answer any questions they have. 

• Supporting volunteers – Guide and support the volunteer team, working closely with Volunteer Coordinators to make sure their time is well organised and meaningful. 

• Monitoring wellbeing – Keep an eye on guest welfare throughout the shift, offering support when needed. 

• Responding to issues – Manage any situations that arise, from emotional distress to challenging behaviour or medical emergencies, and call emergency services if necessary. Training will be provided. 

• Overseeing safety and security – Take responsibility for the overall safety and security of the shelter during your shift, ensuring guests, staff, and volunteers are safe and supported at all times. 

• Following procedures – Help make sure the shelter’s policies and procedures are understood and put into practice during the shift. 

• Shift handover – Provide a clear handover at the end of your shift so the overnight team has all the information they need. 

• Shelter van – Drive the van from its parking location to the shelter at the start of the shift, keep it tidy, and carry out basic stock checks before departure, reporting any shortages for restocking. 

• Keeping accurate records – Record attendance, incidents, and observations using our iPad-based In-Form system so colleagues have up-to-date information. 

• Working with the casework team – Share relevant information about guests’ welfare and needs to support follow-up work. 

• Supporting practical needs – Assist the casework team with practical tasks related to guests’ day-to-day needs as requested. 

• Attending meetings and training – Join monthly shelter meetings and other training or team sessions as required. 

• Supervision meetings – Take part in regular supervision meetings with the Service Manager. 

• Pitching in where needed – From time to time, take on other reasonable tasks to help the shelter run smoothly. 

Person Specification

Essential: 

• A valid manual driving licence and be willing to drive the Glass Door van. 

• Experience working with people experiencing homelessness or other vulnerable groups. 

• A genuine commitment to providing a high standard of service and treating everyone with respect, kindness, and dignity. 

• The ability to lead a small team confidently, including during challenging or fast-changing situations, while keeping a calm and professional approach. 

• Confidence in handling challenging behaviour calmly and respectfully. 

• Strong written and verbal communications skills. 

• The ability to carry out manual handling tasks, such as moving supplies and equipment. 

Desirable: 

• The ability to speak another language, for example Arabic, Tigrinya, Amharic, Polish, Spanish, French, or Russian. 

• A lived experience of homelessness. 

• An understanding of, and commitment to, trauma-informed care. 

• Relevant training such as first aid, fire safety, conflict de-escalation, or Mental Health First Aid.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Visitor Experience Manager (VEM) to play a vital role in leading and shaping the visitor journey at Waddesdon Manor, working Wednesday-Sunday. The successful candidate will  be an  integral part of the Visitor Experience Management Team at Waddesdon Manor ensuring that every visitor enjoys an outstanding experience that is welcoming, inclusive, and memorable.

You will be responsible for developing a culture of ‘exceptional service, every time, for everyone,’ leading by example and inspiring the wider visitor experience team to deliver outstanding customer service. With extensive management experience in a visitor-facing heritage environment, you will act as an ambassador for our visitors across the property, ensuring their needs and expectations are embedded at the heart of all operations.

What you will do:

As Visitor Experience Manager (VEM), you will oversee house-based visitor operations and lead a seamless visitor engagement program - including tours, walks, and talks - ensuring that all audiences enjoy an exceptional and inspiring experience. By maintaining consistently high standards of welcome, interpretation and storytelling, you will enhance visitor satisfaction and foster memorable experiences.

You will play a key role in the growth and evolution of the Visitor Experience department, driving excellence in operations, recruitment, training, customer service, and engagement initiatives. With a strong understanding of heritage best practices, you will contribute to shaping the Visitor Experience strategy, ensuring long-term success and the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

Operational Management

• Oversee the visitor experience within the house, supporting the Assistant Visitor Experience Manager (AVEM) to ensure a consistently high-quality experience for all guests.
• Ensure impeccable presentation standards aligned with brand guidelines.
• Full compliance of operational policies and procedures.
• Ensure staff and volunteers are engaged with their roles and environment.
• Effective staff planning that aligns with budget and operational needs.
• Strategically plan for the future of the house-based visitor operation by benchmarking against industry leaders, implementing best practices, and managing change, where needed.
• Support the AVEM in the operational delivery of house openings and tours.
• Act as an escalation point for visitor feedback or complaints, ensuring prompt and confident resolution.

Tours & Walks Operation

• Oversee the daily delivery of the public tours and walks program, ensuring high-quality, well-resourced experiences.
• Serve as a central point of coordination between teams and departments to efficiently manage spaces and resources.
• With the AVEM provide motivational and supportive leadership to all guides and volunteers, ensuring visitor expectations remain central to operations
• Collaborate with relevant departments to create scripts and guidance for walks and tour programme delivery
• Train as a guide to cover staff/volunteer shortfalls and maintain consistency in the visitor offer
• Support out-of-hours exclusive access tours, sharing responsibilities with the VE management team
• Develop industry-leading, accessible, and revenue-generating tour visitor engagement programme
• Develop a guide recruitment and training programme.
• Work with the Head of Visitor Experience (HVE), Group Bookings Coordinator, and Marketing team to tailor tours and walks to visitor and group preferences.

People Management

• Line manage the AVEM, providing operational guidance and supporting their professional development.
• Offer strong, motivational leadership to guides and volunteers, serving as an approachable point of contact.
• Recruit, develop, and coach a high-performing, enthusiastic team, setting clear objectives and providing regular feedback.
• Inspire teams to engage with and safely manage the historic environment, fostering a passion for the house, its history, and collections.
• Collaborate with the VE & Volunteering teams to expand and enhance the year-round Visitor Experience volunteering program.
• Lead annual visitor care training for staff and volunteers.
• Provide ongoing role-specific training to ensure high standards of delivery.

Other Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with the Head of Visitor Experience to manage staffing and operational budgets, contributing to financial planning.
• Champion accessibility, ensuring all visitor offers meet best practice accessibility guidelines and supporting the AVEM in developing access initiatives.
• Deputise for the HVE and provide operational duty management in the AVEM’s absence.
• Serve as a second duty manager for large events, overseeing a designated site area and making operational decisions.
• Act as a trained First Aider and Fire Marshall (training provided).
• Train as a “White Hat” for Waddesdon’s Disaster Response Team and take a leadership role in major incidents if required
• Support frontline operations during peak times, major events, or staff shortages as required
• Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in the heritage/museum sector

• Collection Care & Conservation: Understanding of historic collection care, conservation, health and safety, and security legislation.

• Financial & Technical Proficiency: Some experience in budget management and commercial awareness. Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, with familiarity in POS and ticketing platforms.

The safety and wellbeing of children, young people and vulnerable adults are of the utmost importance for any role at the Rothschild Foundation, Waddesdon Manor. Consequently this position will require an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to uphold the safety and security of all our guests, staff and volunteers.

Action for Refugees in Lewisham (AFRIL) is recruiting for a new Casework Manager to lead our growing and dynamic Casework and Advocacy Service.You will be joining an impactful local organisation at a crucial time in our development. We are looking for a hard working and dynamic leader who can balance the operational demands of casework and managing frontline services, with excellent HR skills and a keen interest in policy and developing partnerships. This is an exciting and integral role within a supportive and dynamic team at AFRIL. The role is available due to the advancement of the previous post-holder to a more senior post.

AFRIL’s Casework and Advocacy Service is a busy, professional team of 4 caseworkers (3 FTE) , a Community Activities Coordinator, and a number of volunteers. The team has grown significantly in the last 3 years, in response to the needs of our community and due to recognition of AFRIL’s high quality and relevant casework provision. The Casework and Advocacy Service provides AQS accredited complex casework and advice in the areas of Asylum Support, Housing, Benefits and Community Care. The service works to fill the gap, focusing on supporting those with complex vulnerabilities requiring wrap around support. AFRIL takes its services to where clients are; holding regular casework drop-in’s at asylum support hotels, community centres and at Lewisham Foodbank. AFRIL is also recently accredited by the Immigration Advice Authority to provide advice at Level 1, in both Immigration and Asylum and is currently in the process of becoming accredited at Level 2.

AFRIL’s Casework and Advocacy service uses casework trends and data to work with community members in order to engage in policy and systemic change. Utilising casework and community co-production, the service has created sector wide resources on asylum support, engaged in strategic litigation and successfully influenced local, pan-London and national policy outcomes. This is a growing area of work for the service and the successful Casework Manager will be required to balance high quality casework outputs and management of a team, while working closely with the Executive Director on emerging policy and advocacy work.

• Allotment of Refuge - a welcoming community of food growers that supports improved health, wellbeing and integration of members, whilst protecting the local environment. 

• Immigration Project in partnership with Southwark Law Centre, providing free legal advice and representation to support people to regularise their immigration status.

About You

As the Philanthropy Manager, you will be a confident and persuasive communicator, comfortable engaging with supporters and stakeholders at all levels. You will have a solid knowledge of philanthropic giving and a deep appreciation of the value of high-quality donor stewardship. Highly organised and detail-focused, you will enjoy working with data and be skilled at producing compelling content both on and offline. You will bring initiative, creativity and the ability to work independently, while also being a collaborative team player.

You will lead on managing and growing Art UK’s philanthropic giving programme, which includes the Patrons and supporter events programme and our major donor activity. You will be part of a small, committed Development team that raises funds across a broad range of income streams: trusts and foundations, public funding, corporates, high-net-worth individuals, online giving, and patron schemes. You will report to the Head of Development, work closely with the CEO and Chair of the Philanthropy Board, and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a pipeline of new philanthropic giving opportunities by researching, identifying and cultivating philanthropic supporters (£1k+) with the potential to give major gifts and multi-year support
• Create and implement donor development plans, working with the Head of Development and colleagues to guide our approach to new philanthropic support
• Develop bespoke cultivation and solicitation strategies, producing creative and compelling proposals to secure substantial philanthropic gifts
• Work closely with the Marketing team and other colleagues to showcase Art UK’s work and enhance donor engagement
• Create bespoke and compelling written proposals and support senior leadership and board members in the preparation and delivery of high-quality donor pitches to secure new philanthropic partnerships
• Provide exceptional stewardship for new and existing supporters, ensuring they feel valued and can clearly see the impact of their contribution
• Plan and deliver the fundraising and stewardship events programme (with support from the wider team), including attending events where appropriate
• Monitor progress against targets and maintain accurate reporting, including updates to Art UK’s Board of Trustees and the Philanthropy Board
• Ensure pledges and donations are processed efficiently and that donors are thanked promptly and personally
• Work closely with all members of the Development team to ensure prospecting and cultivation activity is aligned and complementary
• Ensure all philanthropic fundraising activity is conducted in line with legal, regulatory and ethical best practice e.g. GDPR and the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Code of Practice

Responsibilities of our Health and Safety Officer:

- Conduct in-person health & safety and fire risk assessments across centres and shops, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies

- Investigate accidents and incidents, analyse trends, and recommend preventative actions

- Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, assessments, and incidents in line with data protection requirements

- Promote completion of H&S e-learning and identify additional training needs

- Build strong relationships with staff and volunteers to foster a positive safety culture

About the Safety, Health & Environment team:

The SHE team are a multi tasking team that undertake most Health and Safety tasks in-house, working closely with most other teams within Cats Protection. The team is made up of a manager and 4 regional officers who cover the whole of the UK, The team deal with the Cats Protection retail outlets, Cat Centres, accident investigations, DSE,  branch volunteer enquiries and more. 

What we’re looking for in our Health and Safety Officer:

- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and membership of a relevant professional body

- Significant experience (3+ years post qualification) in a similar health & safety role, ideally in public sector, facilities, or charity setting

- Experience working across multiple sites

- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practices

- Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels

- Able to work independently, manage workload, and perform under pressure

About this exciting opportunity

Our successful candidate will provide operational management and effective leadership to a team of Financial Wellbeing Coaches (FWCs) and Peer Advisor volunteers employed in the delivery of one or more contracts awarded by the HMPPS to deliver Finance, Benefit and Debt (FBD) services in Wales.

We will count on you to set performance objectives and monitor progress – ensuring compliance with contractual performance indicators and quality improvement, and to monitor and manage all aspects of delivery and performance.

This key role will also involve managing partnerships, developing and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders, and managing and coordinating allocated resources, including volunteers and spot purchase funds.  Ensuring there is a safe and trusting working environment for staff and working closely with other St Giles Wise Managers to ensure consistency of approach and sharing of best practice are also key duties.

• Experience of working in, or managing, services supporting challenging people

• Experience working in or managing multi-agency partnerships working towards common objectives 

• Hold a relevant qualification, or be able to provide evidence of training at specialist level in money and/or welfare benefits advice 

• Sound understanding of the requirements of managing a caseload 

• Familiarity with relevant legislation, regulations, guidance codes of practice and industry standards

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance and HR

• Liaise with outsourced bookkeepers (also payroll providers) to ensure timely/accurate information flow.
• Oversee income and expenditure budgets and performance, processing of donations and scheduled payments, and ensuring accurate and consistent coding.
• Work with accountants to support year-end accounts and coordinate annual report production.
• Produce and circulate monthly management accounts and other reports for the Board.

• Maintain accurate, compliant data in our CRM (Donorfy), including prompt input of donations.

Charitable projects

• Compiling project monitoring/evaluation data from project partners to support excellent impact reporting.

Governance and operations

Together with the volunteer Charity Secretary:

• Coordination of Board meetings and AGMs, agendas, papers and minutes.
• Maintain central registers (trustee attendance/terms, governance documents, policies, risk, safeguarding training etc).
• Fulfil statutory and regulatory responsibilities, including filing of annual accounts.
• Advise trustees on governance best practice, in line with Charity Commission guidance.
• Management of policies, procedures and operational systems (including the CRM) that strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
• Prepare Quarterly reports for the Board, and upon request.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and the Fundraising Code of Practice, including delivering the responsibility of data protection lead.
• Maintain relationships with volunteer Independent Advisors and commissioned service providers e.g. finance, HR and legal to ensure compliance/best practice.

The Mental Health Crisis Breathing Space (MHCBS) team at Toynbee Hall is part of a national initiative launched in partnership with We Are Group and The Kaleidoscope Plus Group, funded by the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS). This service provides individuals undergoing mental health crisis treatment with temporary protection from debt collection activities, allowing them a “breathing space” to focus on their recovery without the immediate pressures of financial obligations. Toynbee Hall contributes to this initiative by offering regulated debt advice, conducting renewal checks, and providing comprehensive signposting support, ensuring that clients receive holistic assistance during their crisis period.

As a Debt Advisor (Omni-Channel: Telephone & Video), your primary role will be to provide over-indebted clients with tailored debt advice through various channels, including telephone, WhatsApp, and our network of video advice kiosks located in prisons, hospitals, job centres, town halls, and other community settings. You will help clients start their debt advice journey efficiently, ensuring they receive accurate and effective support.

We are seeking experienced, passionate candidates to join an exciting new project working within a Family Hub setting. These roles will work closely with women and families providing coaching support to improve wellbeing throughout the perinatal period, and establish good foundations for family health moving forward. This role will work as part of a team from Mind In Enfield and Barnet, and alongside other statutory and non statutory services within Family Hubs across the Borough of Enfield. 

Individual Giving Manager - Chichester Festival Theatre

The Individual Giving Manager will lead the successful planning and delivery of mid-level giving, managing schemes between £120–£4,999 annually. You will oversee donor cultivation, stewardship, and supporter communications, ensuring the highest standards of engagement and experience.

Line-managing the Senior Events Officer, you will also ensure the delivery of high-quality events that inspire and retain donors and generate fundraising income, playing an active role in developing CFT’s giving schemes and future fundraising strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Mid-level supporters

· Manage all mid-level giving schemes (£120–£4,999 annually), ensuring they remain appealing and effective

· Proactively identify and cultivate prospective new supporters, and increase giving from current donors

· Provide outstanding stewardship, delivering benefits on time and ensuring a first-class supporter experience

· Work with the Senior Events Officer to deliver exceptional cultivation and stewardship events.

· Collaborate with Marketing to promote giving opportunities and ensure consistent messaging.

· Review and refine supporter propositions to reflect best practice and donor needs.

· Support the Friends and Membership Officer with renewals, direct debits, and administration.

Prospecting & Cultivating

· Proactively identify and cultivate new supporters, increase giving from current supporters.

· Lead recruitment campaigns for mid-level supporters and contribute to targeted donor communications

· Work with the Head of Individual Giving to identify potential major donors and implement tailored stewardship plans

· Complete due diligence on all new and prospective supporters in line with CFT’s Donation

Acceptance Policy Development Events

· Line-manage the Senior Events Officer to deliver high-quality donor events across the giving journey

· Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operational delivery

· Represent CFT at supporter events, ensuring donors feel welcomed and valued

Administration & Reporting

· Maintain accurate supporter records on Spektrix

· Monitor income against targets, flagging risks and opportunities

· Contribute to the fundraising strategy, principally through growing mid-level giving

· Produce receipts, renewals, and accurate reports for the Development Committee and Board

· Collaborate with Marketing and Development colleagues on supporter communications and campaign mailings

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

· Experience of fundraising with individual supporters, including donor relationship management

· Experience of prospect research and pipeline management

· Proven track record of asking for and securing gifts

· Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills

· Confident communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills

· Experience of prospect research and pipeline management

· Strong organisational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems

· A proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach, with willingness to work evenings and weekends

Desirable Criteria

· Experience in fundraising campaigns (digital and offline)

· Demonstrable success in event planning and delivery

· Knowledge of Spektrix and Dotdigital (or equivalent systems)

· Knowledge of the arts sector and enthusiasm for theatre and live performance

Responsibilities as a Manager

· Lead, support and develop the Senior Events Officer, ensuring clear objectives and professional growth

· Manage budgets effectively and contribute to organisational efficiency

· Model excellence in fundraising practice and collaboration across CFT

· Uphold health and safety responsibilities as required
