Sounds great, what will I be doing?

This role focuses on supporting a wide range of individuals within and beyond Bromley to develop independent living skills, maintain their wellbeing, and improve their quality of life. The post holder will carry out assessments based on organisational needs, risks, and aspirations to gain a clear understanding of each service user's situation. From this, they will create, implement, and regularly review personalised support plans, working collaboratively with service users and other professionals. Through key working sessions, the role aims to help individuals sustain independence, maintain their tenancy, and build confidence in managing daily life.

The position also involves encouraging service users to engage in activities that promote both physical and mental wellbeing, as well as supporting access to relevant health services, training, employment, and volunteering opportunities. Building positive relationships is essential to fostering independence and financial security. Additionally, the post holder will be expected to liaise professionally with external agencies to ensure coordinated support, while remaining flexible in undertaking additional duties that contribute to the organisation's aims.

Strong awareness of health and safety, particularly around lone working, is essential, along with knowledge of issues such as mental health, drug, and alcohol misuse that commonly affect service users. Candidates should be able to inspire confidence, empower individuals to make informed choices in difficult circumstances, and promote independence while supporting recovery through a range of approaches.

The Eikon Charity helps children and young people in Surrey to feel and be safe, heard, and supported. Through one-to-one support, group work, and programmes in schools, Eikon helps children build confidence, resilience, and the skills they will need to navigate life’s challenges.

This is a senior fundraising role within Eikon’s Trusts & Grants team, focused on generating significant voluntary income from charitable trusts, foundations, and local government funders. With an overall team target of £1m, this postholder will contribute around £250k per year through a mix of high-quality applications, strategic account management, and relationship building.

The role requires both strong bid writing skills (especially for complex, high-value and multi-year proposals) and excellent interpersonal skills to develop and steward relationships with funders. As Senior Trust Fundraiser, you will:

• Raise circa £250k annually from a mix of trusts, foundations, and local government grant funders (restricted and unrestricted)
• Lead on developing a portfolio of high-value, multi-year funders, cultivating new prospects and strengthening existing relationships
• Research, write, and submit compelling, tailored proposals and reports
• Work collaboratively with the Grants Lead on strategic bids (e.g. The National Lottery Community Fund, Community Foundation for Surrey)
• Develop an approach for growing unrestricted income
• Actively network across Surrey to identify new leads and opportunities
• Provide excellent account management through regular reporting, funder meetings, and creative stewardship (e.g. site visits, events)
• Manage accurate pipeline and reporting on Donorfy CRM, supporting both team and board-level reporting
• Deputise for the Grants Lead at meetings where required
• Provide peer support to colleagues in the fundraising team

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Proven track record in trusts and foundations fundraising (including complex, high-value proposals)
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information persuasively
• Confident in building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders
• Comfortable independently representing Eikon at external meetings and networking events
• Strong organisational and time management skills – able to balance writing, relationship building, and reporting
• Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable; able to deputise when required
• Experience of the children, education, or mental health sectors desirable
• Based in or near Surrey, with willingness to travel regularly within the county
• Driving licence essential

What will you be doing? 

• To undertake mediation with 10-24 year olds and their parents / main carers (including siblings and other family members) as appropriate across Hertfordshire
• To undertake short & longer term mediation sessions with young people and their families (including siblings and other family members) as appropriate.
• To work closely with hyh’s Advice and Information Workers and other referrers to engage families in the mediation process
• To chair and co-ordinate family meetings alongside the Advice & Information workers and  co-ordinate and  implement focused action plans to encourage families to find their own solutions / prevent family breakdown and homelessness.

All advice will be based on a thorough understanding and assessment of risk and its management.

The purpose of the Hertfordshire Mind Network Community Outreach Worker role is to:

• To provide support and advocacy services to clients experiencing domestic abuse
• To ensure direct contact is made with the client within a specified time of an incident being reported to the police and to carry out a risk assessment.
• To ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.
• To maintain and enhance service delivery standards and effectiveness.
• To support the team with case management and volume of referrals to ensure a short waiting time and referrals are contacted promptly and assessed appropriately.
• To collate and obtain feedback regarding the effectiveness of the service.

Step-Out Mentoring is an early intervention mentoring organisation that provides support for children and young people in the heart of South London through outdoor based 1:1 mentoring and group workshops. Our mentors are all volunteers from the community who are trained to become youth mentors and matched to young people for weekly mentoring sessions.

Kinly supports older people and their families to understand what support and allowances they are eligible for and then does all the complex forms/applications for them. By doing so, we unlock £5,000 a year per person on average, helping people to afford health/care support, physios, taxis, and at-home equipment.

A majority of older people are cut off from the support they need due to barriers to access – disability, low income, lack of internet or lack of family. We help people navigate a complex system and make ageing easier. Our services are free at the point of use, and fully accessible offline (using only a landline phone), but we use a lot of technology to deliver the service.

Kinly was founded by a previous unicorn founder (insure-tech) and ex-Managing Director of an AIM-listed healthcare company. The business is based in West London, with teams focused on Benefits, Customer Success, Tech and Operations. The business has a very senior advisory Board, including Government advisors and health and care leaders. About the role

This is an exciting new role for someone with welfare benefits advice experience.

You will complete benefits checks and applications for our clients, their families and their carers. This includes providing support with Personal Independence Payment, Attendance Allowance, Pension Credit, Carer’s Allowance, Council Tax and Housing Benefit applications.

Main Responsibilities

Providing information and advice over the telephone to older people, their carers and relatives

Completing benefits checks and advising clients accurately and appropriately in relation to their welfare benefit and related entitlements

Completing benefit applications

Holistically exploring a client’s financial, health and care needs to fully understand and tailor support to their specific circumstances

The purpose of the Quality Checks is to ensure that people who live in these settings are safe, and living healthy, happy and meaningful lives and that the support they receive is appropriate to their needs.

All our Quality Checks involve a Quality Checker (an Expert by Experience) with lived experience of disability or mental ill health working alongside a Quality Checking Coordinator.  On visits, we talk with people living in these settings to gather information regarding their quality of life and the quality of care and support they have.

The Coordinator’s role is to organise the checks and facilitate them on the day, whilst the Expert by Experience asks most of the questions. The Coordinator is responsible for compiling all the information gathered during the Quality Check and producing a report which is shared with the Provider and Commissioners. The Coordinator also has line management responsibility for a small number of the quality checkers on the team.

As a Rough Sleeping Outreach and Assessment Worker, you’ll play a vital role in our Street Outreach Service and the new 24-hour Assessment Centre. One night you could be out on the street engaging with people sleeping rough; the next day you might be welcoming someone to the centre, creating a support plan, and linking them to housing and health services.

What you’ll do

• Carry out late-night street outreach and day-time reception shifts as part of a rota.
• Build trusting relationships with people who are rough sleeping and help them move quickly into safe accommodation.
• Provide trauma-informed, person-centred support, including assessments, personalised action plans and follow-on help to sustain tenancies.

-Work closely with partner agencies to connect clients to health, housing, and other specialist services.
-Keep accurate case notes and share information securely using CHAIN and InForm systems.

About you
You bring experience of working with vulnerable adults, ideally in homelessness or a related field, and you’re confident working late-night shifts. You can build rapport quickly, stay calm under pressure, and work well with partner agencies. Above all, you believe that homelessness should be rare, brief and non-recurring.

Dad Matters Surrey exists to support dads to have the best possible relationship with their families. Kingston Carers' Network (KCN) is an independent charity providing information, advice, advocacy and support to unpaid carers of all ages who are caring for someone with an illness, disability or substance misuse problem.

We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual with a passion for communications and social change. We are currently supporting over 4000 carers, including over 800 young carers, who are caring for a relative or friend with a disability, illness, mental health problem or substance addiction. The successful candidate will have the ability to build and cultivate relationships with local organisations, as they will be managing our various social media channels.
