Key responsibilities will include the following:
- Work with the Board and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to assess capacity gaps across the organisation and how best to fill them.
- Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding and offboarding).
- Provide support, guidance, and advice for managers in conducting and concluding employee relations cases, including absence, performance management, disciplinary and grievance cases, ensuring adherence to policy.
- Coordinate and administer company benefits (including health benefit), and research other ways to improve our employee experience.
- Create and manage organisation-wide and individual employee learning programmes.
- Be independent point of contact for entire team for all welfare and professional issues, providing guidance on support available.
- Support Synchronicity Earth’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Working Group.
- Review our staff handbook, and company HR policies and procedures ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect relevant legislation and best practice.
- Be first point of contact with HR & HSE consultants.
- Identify and implement (subject to budget) suitable HR systems that will help to automate Synchronicity Earth’s’ processes and lead to greater self-service of HR matters.
About you
Essential skills and experience
- Level 5 CIPD qualified.
- A proven track record in managing and HR function.
- Experience of developing new policies and procedures for an organisation in line with current best practice.
- Experience of supporting individuals to develop their skill base and careers.

HR Business Partner

We are seeking a Payroll & Finance Administrator to assist the Executive Director: Finance and Resources with completing administration and payroll tasks to ensure a smooth running Finance Team.
You will administer aspects of donations and income, post donations received into our CRM system liaising with the Director of Fundraising, conduct Gift Aid claims, generate reports and utilise the CDS system to ensure all data is correctly entered and support given to all administrators.
You will administer the payroll and receipt system. Additionally, you will reconcile all costs, generate invoices and check that timesheets, holidays and absence are recorded correctly. This role requires you to work Monday to Friday but you must be willing to be flexible as and when required.
You must have a minimum of five A*-C GCSE passes, including Mathematics and English (or equivalent). Additionally, good IT skills, especially in Excel and administrative, recording and reporting skills are essential for this role.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
Training
- In conjunction with the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser, facilitate a safeguarding learning and development programme for the diocese aligned with the national church Learning and Development Framework, Church Safeguarding Standards, reflecting the specific safeguarding responsibilities of those in role.
- To administer all lay and clergy safeguarding training run by the Diocese in line with above, in approximately 80 sessions a year. This includes: producing a deadlines document; administers the sessions on Zoom / Teams, posting courses on Eventbrite and operating as content manager for publicity on the Diocesan website.
- To administer bookings for training courses; copy course materials and respond to emails and queries on training matters, ensure compliance of work submission required before and after courses.
- Log entry of all course participants onto a database to ensure each person has a personal safeguarding training record, and each parish has a safeguarding training profile.
General Administrative
- Work with IT and Information and Data Manager position to produce reports for the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser on safeguarding training issues and trends, and annual statistics represented in charts and graphs for inclusion in the annual safeguarding review.
- Produce quarterly reports on training compliance for Archdeacons and the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel meetings.
- Helping to organise and minute meetings when the safeguarding administrator is not available/on leave.
- Support the safeguarding team with other tasks and projects as identified by the Safeguarding Administrator or Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser.

ShelterBox has a growing network of international supporters who connect with the organisation through our international affiliates - independent charities in their own countries. Affiliates’ supporter growth and engagement activities are enabled by this role with further support from other UK-based teams, including fundraising, brand, content and comms.
ShelterBox has 13 affiliates who are directly helping the organisation achieve one of our strategic objectives of international diversified funding. Affiliates share our mission and consequently raise awareness and funding to support the organisation. Collectively they contribute greatly to engaging with and a global community of supporters. We raise a significant proportion of ShelterBox’s total income through our affiliate network, and from other international donors in countries beyond our affiliates.
The purpose of the Interim International Giving Manager role is to support the management of affiliate relationships with ShelterBox by providing a focal point for day-to-day dialogue; to share information and resources effectively across the network; and to develop collaborative working relationships which enhance our supporter experience.
This role will empower the international network by providing materials, information and content which is key to achieving a consistent brand and fundraising success. ShelterBox is seeking an inspiring and proactive relationship builder who can take a leading role in the International Giving team. They will be the focal point for providing support to many of our international fundraising staff and volunteers, with a high level of attention to detail and supporter-centric best practice. They should be confident in managing multiple projects simultaneously and working with a broad set of objectives associated with fundraising and communications. They be the line manager for other members of the team who have shared responsibility for international supporter growth and engagement.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Leading key relationships with affiliate staff and volunteers to execute the strategy for growing diversified international income.
- Line management of the International Giving Executive role to deliver international supporter communications and volunteer engagement. Nurturing their development.
- Supporting delivery of the international Rotary partnership strategy, in collaboration with the Rotary Partnership Manager, by bringing together international fundraisers at key moments in the annual calendar.
- Communicating clear guidance on shared global fundraising priorities, drawing on data and insight to optimise results.
- Working collaboratively with affiliates to contribute to a suite of refreshed brand communication materials.
- Managing the translation of key communications (including subtitles for videos produced by B&C) into languages required by affiliates.
- Supporting enhanced communications with affiliates during times of major disaster
- Proactively identifying growth opportunities and promoting these across the international network
- Facilitating consistent application of the joint ShelterBox and Rotary brand guidelines.
- Leading the design and delivery of the annual International Fundraising Conference.
- Travelling internationally to fundraising events or meetings with affiliates
- Maintaining an up-to-date contact list for affiliates together with records of reports, meetings and plans
- Maintaining an up-to-date record of correspondence, meeting minutes and actions taken
- Manage financial processes related to international income including annual budget-setting and quarterly reforecasting.
- Deliver data for reporting on the agreed set of financial and non-financial KPIs.
- Liaising with Finance to facilitate the receipt of grants from Affiliates and any other fund transfers.
- Liaising with Procurement to facilitate the planning of any expenditure and/or the process through which purchases are made.
- Other administrative duties that may be required by the team from time to time.

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE SLT
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part-time (21-28 hours per week). Additional hours may sometime be required, particularly for Trustee meetings, and can be taken as Time Off In Lieu.
The Executive Assistant (EA) to the SLT will facilitate all the charity’s governance requirements. Activities will primarily focus on Trustee meetings, Committees and Management team meetings, but will include policy administration and all other aspects of corporate governance and company secretariat. The post will also form part of newly-formed HR function within the charity.
The EA to the SLT will be a key role in giving the charity the capacity and expertise it needs to grow in a well-governed and responsible yet ambitious way.

My Life My Choice (MLMC) is a multi-award-winning self-advocacy charity uniquely run by and for people with learning disabilities, founded in 1998. Purpose of the role:
The purpose of the role is to provide administrative expertise for the Helpline and Board Operations across a wide range of functions to support day-to-day service delivery, including:
- Facilitate elements of HR, Finance, IT, facilities management, and event management.
- Provide administration support for the Board of Trustees and Trustee sub-committees for their quarterly meetings.

This role is responsible for running the office of the Co-CEOs, internal communication and engagement activities across ActionAid UK. The role will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Co-CEO office enabling the Co-CEOs to effectively manage their workload and focus on strategic responsibilities in their dual roles as Co-CEOs and Directors.
