• Work with relatives, healthcare professionals and external agencies to ensure that the needs and interests of the people we support are met and upheld. 
• Serve as a role model to a team of Support Workers, demonstrating excellent practices of support.

What will I need? To be considered as an Assistant Locality Manager you will need:

• Experience of working with people with a wide range of needs - for example, autism and complex learning disabilities

Our Youth and Play Workers will play a pivotal role in the Children, Young People and Families team, working as a core team of practitioners to ensure the smooth running of our programmes and services. In this role you will be part of a small and dynamic team which delivers a wide range of programmes and activities, both from Tulse Hill Adventure Playground and within local schools. The work of the Children, Young People and Families team is diverse and varied. Our current services include open access adventure play and youth activities at our Adventure Playground, school holiday programmes with off-site trips and activities, coaching in local schools, a Young Leaders programme offering paid work experience to young people, and working together with our youth partnerships Building Young Brixton and Lambeth Peer Action Collective.

We are experiencing an exciting time of development for the team and are currently looking to recruit four Youth and Play Workers. To support our range of children and young people, our team will be made up of specialist Youth Workers and Play Workers bringing in relevant skills and experience. Whilst you will work across all of our Children, Young People and Families services you will have a specific focus:

As a Youth Worker you will:
• Focus on supporting our secondary age cohort

You will also be tasked with developing and managing several key supplier relationships to ensure value for money and providing technical expertise in executing end-to-end procurement processes.

Your profile and background

• You'll have experience of the full end-end-end tendering process and you'll be able to provide examples where you have achieved significant savings across Property/FM category portfolios of spend.
• You'll have the ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at varying degrees of seniority.
• You'll have a solid understanding of your assigned category areas of spend (Property/FM), and you'll be comfortable liaising with a broad range of suppliers and negotiating high profile contracts.
• You'll be a personable and self-motivated individual with strong verbal and written communication skills.

About the Role

Together, we empower young people with vital enterprise and financial education skills—delivered in schools, universities, and communities. Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, and we’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Volunteering Development Officer to help us create the best possible experience for them.

You’ll be the first point of contact for new volunteers, ensuring every volunteer’s experience is smooth, well supported and rewarding – from registration through to recognition. You’ll lead on all aspects of our volunteer registration processes, systems, and records, as well as using your expertise in volunteer management to deliver excellent customer service and build effective relationships on a national scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering a seamless onboarding experience, handling queries and providing a warm welcome to new volunteers.
• Supporting and training colleagues on volunteering systems and processes.
• Managing our safeguarding and DBS processes for volunteers to keep young people safe.
• Using our Volunteer Management System (Assemble), ensuring communications are logged and accurate reports are available for monitoring and KPIs.
• Creating and maintaining clear documentation, process and guidance documents so colleagues and volunteers have everything they need at their fingertips.
• Recognising volunteer contributions by coordinating our volunteer rewards and recognition activities.
• Writing inspiring news articles and email communications updates on our Volunteering platform.
• Championing the volunteer journey and actively contributing to team goals that ensure volunteers have a positive and consistent experience.

A few practical things:

• This role is hybrid, involving a mixture of working from home and from our Central London office.
• There will be some limited additional requirements to travel for meetings and occasional expectations to work outside of office hours, such as our annual in person Staff Conference and quarterly evening ‘get togethers’ online with volunteers.
• This role is the equivalent of 3 days per week, however we are flexible to accommodate the regular working hours that work for you, between 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday.
• Giving our volunteers the best possible experience involves really understanding what they do- so you will be actively encouraged to get stuck in and ‘volunteer’ yourself within our programmes and alongside our volunteers.

You will play a crucial role in helping the charity meet its strategic plans and objectives, which include campaigning to increase the national investment in brain tumour research to £35 million per year, while fundraising to create a network of seven sustainable Brain Tumour Research Centres of Excellence across the UK. ​

We are a growing charity with a diverse range of exciting and fast-paced campaigns and activities and we are seeking a talented Special Events Manager to further develop the Events offer.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organising, and executing events that meet the strategic objectives of the charity. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker with excellent project management skills and a passion for philanthropy. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, volunteers, donors, and external partners to ensure the success of each event.

We also want as many people as possible to understand the difference the Hospice’s work makes for our patients, as well as for their families and carers. We want to give our supporters a choice of inspiring ways they can help make that difference, and to feel good for doing so.

That’s why we’re recruiting for a Head of Fundraising – to keep our wonderful community at the heart of our fundraising and create brilliant events and campaigns to engage and inspire new and existing supporters.

Reporting into the Director of Income Generation, your main priorities as Head of Fundraising will be to:

• Increase the value and sustainability of the Hospice’s fundraising income including vital sources such as legacy income
• Ensure the Hospice has in place operational plans based on clear need, proven concepts, fully-costed budgets and demonstrable impact
• Take a lead in replacing our current fundraising CRM
• Lead a team of paid and voluntary fundraisers who provide excellent supporter care
• Work collaboratively with other key internal stakeholders to maximise income

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to have:

• A record of success in multiple aspects of fundraising
• A supporter-first approach
• Business planning and budget management experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills including building strong relationships and business links
• Effective leadership skills with a track record of challenging, leading and developing a diverse fundraising team
