Sounds great, what will I be doing?
The role involves assisting the Contracts and Procurement Manager in the letting and management of corporate contracts, representing Hestia at external meetings and in matters related to approved suppliers as directed. It ensures compliance with all current legislation concerning contracts and procured services, and includes drafting comprehensive procurement specifications in collaboration with operational staff, consultants, contractors, and other agents. The role is responsible for internal monitoring and auditing of approved suppliers and compliance obligations, identifying recurring issues or performance concerns, providing solutions, and escalating matters to senior management as needed, as well as compiling supplier performance information for reporting. It includes responding formally to contract queries from managers, advising on areas of overspend or incorrect use of resources, and developing Hestia's procurement system through policy updates, risk reviews, and audits. The position also involves liaising with new and established approved contractors to ensure the provision of competent, safe, and cost-effective goods and services, while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice.

Here's what the team will be looking for:
The ideal candidate for this role is educated to degree level or equivalent and has at least three years' experience in contracts management within a multi-site environment. They will have experience drafting policy documents, providing advice and reports to Board-level, conducting performance audits of complex contracts, managing high-value projects, and developing detailed service specifications, KPIs, SLAs, and evaluation matrices. The candidate should possess a high level of knowledge and understanding of procurement legislation and practice, with proven experience managing complex contracts. They must be able to work independently or collaboratively, overcome challenges, meet tight deadlines, liaise effectively with external professionals, analyze and interpret complex information, and produce clear verbal and written reports to inform procurement standards. Self-motivated and time-efficient, the candidate should be able to develop policy, promote a culture of quality, and use procurement strategically as a business tool, while also understanding safeguarding issues and addressing them appropriately.

STRUCTURE AND PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As Deputy Director, Digital Fundraising you will be based in the London office or work remotely and will be part of the Mass Markets Global Support Team. The Deputy Director will play a pivotal role in advancing IRC’s global digital fundraising efforts by providing consultation and hands-on support across paid media, creative development, analytics, and process improvement. Serving as a strategic adviser to country teams, they will guide campaign planning, platform strategy, and performance measurement while handling key relationships with digital agencies and platform partners. They will also support creative process refinement, champion digital ads testing and optimisation, and ensure compliance with data privacy standards. Through thorough analysis and cross-functional collaboration, the role will help refine attribution models, enhance reporting infrastructure, and drive continuous improvement across digital programs. Additionally, the Deputy Director will lead special projects to streamline operations and foster knowledge sharing across the global digital network.
SCOPE AND AUTHORITY

In this role you will provide consultation and guidance on spending decisions about how best to utilise IRC budget on paid digital platforms to maximise income, and responsibility for suggesting, planning and delivering new and engaging ways to introduce prospects to the IRC brand.
Responsibility for Resources:
- Oversee Digital donor acquisition market support and cross market pilots - assessing the market needs and requirements and working with HQ functions to support local market fundraising goals and objectives
- Oversee and assess potential digital acquisition external opportunities available to IRC and advise fundraising markets on implementation.
- Coordination and oversee the work of any and all agencies, freelancers and external consultants required to deliver on the agreed strategic plan.

1) Digital Media Consultation & Support— 40%
- Act as subject-matter guide and adviser on paid platforms (Meta, Google, programmatic and others) for digital country teams.
- Guide efforts to translate digital strategy into campaign and audience recommendations, investment levels and bidding strategies, and measurement approaches.
- Work with internal MarTech colleagues and external digital media agencies to ensure operational readiness - to include pixel/tagging, audiences, budgets, trafficking, and more.
- Aid in the development and coordination of digital agency RFPs, such as drafting scopes of work, gathering team inputs, and contributing to the evaluation and selection process.
- Liaise with digital media consultants and agencies as needed to support digital teams.

- Support the management of digital creative production workflows and SOPs to help ensure smooth collaboration across fundraising, creative, and content teams.
- Coordinate across Creative & Content and local country teams to reduce lead times and ensure formats meet platform requirements and accessibility/GDPR standards.
- Support efforts to implement creative testing programs like A/B and dynamic creative, and translate results into scalable standard methodologies.
3) Digital Analytics & Optimisation — 25%
- Lead regular review cadences to analyse digital media performance, surface optimisation opportunities and share cross-market insights.
- Contribute to refining digital attribution models and building clarity around full-funnel performance to help inform and justify ongoing investment in upper-funnel activities.
- Define and maintain core reporting (dashboarding, conversion funnels, LTV/CPA analysis) for digital media and ensure data integrity with MarTech/analytics partners.

In this newly created role you will develop our work on influencing and telling the truth about poverty, this is one of two objectives for the charity. You will help build relationships of influence within the Church of England, Government and other decision makers to use our stories and impact to show the difference churches and faith groups can make in ending material and relational poverty. You will develop policy positions on areas of CUF’s work in relation to poverty that will give a firm basis for our work, and that we will be able to speak out on with confidence and knowledge based on connection to grassroots churches and organisations. ABOUT THE ROLE
The Head of Communications and Networks will amplify The Politics Project’s voice, build strategic partnerships and strengthen collaboration across the youth, education and democracy sectors. You will lead on communications, stakeholder engagement and the continued development of the Democracy Classroom Network.
You will oversee a team responsible for communications, partnerships and events, providing leadership and guidance to ensure clear messaging, impactful storytelling and strong, coordinated engagement across the sector. The post holder will combine strategic thinking with strong operational delivery, managing both the external profile of the organisation and the networks that underpin its reach and influence.

Communications
- Develop and lead The Politics Project’s communications strategy to raise visibility and strengthen reputation.

This is a fast-paced senior management role in a small but growing organisation. The post includes a six-month probation period and is fixed-term until March 2027, with the potential of extension depending on funding. About the role
Reporting in to the Global Head of Programme Policy and Practice, the Governance & Rights Lead is a key role designated as the single point of accountability governance and rights leadership across the organisation, aligning with Christian Aid’s organisational values and goals.

The role is ultimately accountable for the delivery of the Thematic Strategy on Governance & Rights and for reporting progress towards this at regular intervals to measure success and maximise impact.
Some of the key responsibilities of the Governance & Rights Lead include:
- Co-develop, create and deliver a thematic strategy for the whole of the Governance & Rights thematic priority, including clear measures of progress and impact/success which are then reported against at regular intervals aligning with organisational values and goals.
- Lead as the organisational technical expert on governance and rights programming and collaborate with staff across the Impact and Fundraising departments so they are able to draw on governance and rights expertise – ours and our partners’ – in order to design, fundraise for and facilitate the delivery of strong signature programme work on governance and rights, maximising impact and income.
- Foster a culture of learning and improvement by identifying best practice among our partners and facilitating knowledge sharing across partners; by commissioning (or directly undertaking when appropriate) research and learning reviews to evidence good practice and course correct where needed.
- Build strong relationships with key policy and advocacy colleagues – particularly the Global Policy and Advocacy Lead for Governance and Rights –, focusing on ensuring insight and learning from programme practice feeds into, and influences public policy development, and provides evidence for advocacy materials.
- Collaborate with the Strategy and Learning Manager and the Impact and Evidence Manager to ensure appropriate evidence is being gathered and consolidated to measure and communicate the impact of our work on governance and rights and to adapt our signature programme approaches as necessary.
- Lead and build external networks so Christian Aid’s work on governance and rights is presented and promoted nationally and internationally, resulting in 1) an enhanced organisational profile within the sector to maximise our impact, 2) a portfolio of work that is innovative and in line with sector best-practice, 3) a pool of potential partners to engage and work with.
- Programme advisory and resource materials on governance and rights are developed on the basis of organisational values, goals, strategies, adaptive programming approaches, and informed by ongoing learning of Christian Aid
About you
Who we are looking for
Essential:
- Postgraduate or equivalent in International Development or relevant discipline.
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken)
- Detailed understanding of current thinking/debates on governance and rights (all human rights, including social, economic, civil and political).
- Extensive experience of translating ‘rights’ concepts into practice within development programmes, across social, economic and civil/political issues.
- Detailed understanding and experience of governance programming, both on the ‘supply’ and ‘demand’ side (i.e. institutional strengthening/accountability, and empowerment and voice).
- Understanding the role of faith-based actors promoting good governance and defending human rights.
- Extensive experience of International Development, strategic planning and programme management.
- Detailed understanding of current thinking in sector specific M&E, including adaptive management.
- Developed ability to apply analysis of power/social exclusion to programme design and management.
- Highly developed negotiation, facilitation, influencing, stakeholder engagement skills, and ability to promote critical thinking and reflection.
- Significant experience of providing training, technical support and/or advice.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to discuss sensitive issues and inspire others to take up new challenges.
