Grants and Trusts Manager. 

Stormbreak are on a mission to challenge the rising crisis in children’s mental, physical and emotional wellbeing and we’re looking to grow the stormbreak Trust and Income team to achieve this.

We need a talented, successful grants and trusts manager with an impressive track record of securing funding (including six figure) and driving charitable income growth. We need someone with experience of working within small-medium sized charities, someone who understands the challenges charities face and is resilient, self-sufficient, tenacious, ambitious, honest, full of integrity, brimming with enthusiasm and an all-round brilliant fundraiser (and human!) who loves what they do and is excited about making a real difference to stormbreak and the children and adults we work with.

You will lead on:

1. achieving the fundraising budget and increasing stormbreak’s total income over future years,
2. stewarding and cultivating our existing portfolio of trust / foundation supporters to maximise future income from the trusts / grants income stream through carefully crafted new approaches and applications, 
3. diversifying stormbreak’s income through the new development of major donor / corporate fundraising income streams.

Main responsibilities:

• To achieve the fundraising budget
• To increase stormbreak’s income in future years
• To manage the existing portfolio of grants, and, as part of the team, ensuring effective reporting / stewardship and maximising opportunities for future support / income. 
• Liaising with the stormbreak delivery team about grant deliverables / outcomes
• Maintaining a system to record all reporting / stewardship activity
• Writing reports for restricted and unrestricted grants
• Keeping in touch with funders – identifying and implementing appropriate opportunities to cultivate relationships
• To undertake an ongoing programme of research and to manage / support volunteers to identify the best new prospects.
• To maintain and continually develop stormbreak’s pipeline – ensuring effective planning and applications throughout the year.
• To liaise with the stormbreak team regularly about funding needs and priorities and to use this knowledge to inform research and applications.
• To develop / update cases for support, making effective use of stormbreak’s impact / evaluation data, case studies and other assets.
• To keep informed of, and adhere to, fundraising regulations / best practice and to keep abreast of fundraising developments.

Most of the time, you’ll be working from home. Once a week, we all meet at our office in Poole – so being able to travel to Poole in Dorset for meaningful connection and discussions with the team once a week is important.

Women in Prison (WiP)is a national, women-led, feminist organisation.  We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as women resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.   

We are looking for a professional to join WiP’s new fundraising team which secures funding from a range of sources including individual donors, corporate supporters, and charitable trusts and foundations. This role will contribute to the foundations for Women in Prison’s ambitious fundraising plans leading on securing gifts from trusts and grants and ensuring that all secured grants are well managed and effectively reported on.  You will be responsible for identifying new funding opportunities and ensuring these are assessed and responded to in collaboration with staff across the organisation. You will work closely with the Income Generation Team and Services Teams to develop and maintain long-term sustainable funding from Trusts and Foundations. SARSAS exists to relieve the trauma and distress, and help rebuild the lives, of survivors who live in Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES, who have experienced any form of sexual violence, at any point in their lives.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced freelance fundraiser with a passion for sustainability to pioneer new and imaginative ways to fund the Net Zero Carbon work for our historical buildings in a first of its kind role within the Church of England.

The Net Zero Carbon Freelance Fundraiser will play a key role in supporting carbon reduction projects in churches in the Pontefract area, raising funds for a group of parishes in the area over a fixed period. As the role is regionally based, there will be a requirement to travel to the nominated churches across Pontefract.

The successful candidate will scope and apply for funds from statutory bodies, charitable trusts and other sources for Net Zero projects and work closely with the Vicar of Pontefract and the Diocese’ Net Zero Carbon Programme Manager throughout their time in post. They will be self-motivated, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

This is a self-employed position offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 12 months, with a total fee payable of £25,000, paid equally over 12 months. The working pattern will be agreed in line with the group’s requirements, but it is expected that a minimum of 100 hours per month (2-3 days/week) would be dedicated to this project.

The appointed candidate will be responsible for managing all associated costs, including income tax and National Insurance contributions, as no additional allowances or reimbursements will be provided.

Our Senior Trusts & Foundations Manager is primarily responsible for managing and generating income from our Trusts & Foundations portfolio (including Corporate Foundations). Horatio’s Garden charity is looking for an experienced fundraising leader to develop this newly created role within the fundraising and events directorate. We are a growing, award winning, national charity delivering garden-based support to improve the mental health of people with spinal injuries across the UK. 

You will be joining the charity in an incredibly exciting year, as we launch our new 5 year strategy and head into a Capital Appeal for our tenth garden in Wakefield.

Our newly created role of Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships will play a critical part in this next chapter, leading the development of our existing high value fundraising portfolio to support our growth ambitions. This is both a strategic and hands-on role, operating in a small team environment and requiring the postholder to work with the Director of Income Generation and CEO to shape strategy, build relationships, and deliver income directly. 

The role will work across major donors, trusts & foundations and corporate partnerships, supporting a talented team of four fundraisers: Senior Philanthropy Manager (Trusts & MD), Senior Regional Partnerships Manager, Trust & Foundations Fundraiser and Trusts & Foundations Assistant.

The charity has a history of building successful high value relationships, and we are looking for someone with the experience and ambition to help us build on this solid foundation to deliver our 5-year strategy and complete our core capital appeal programme. 

You will need to have significant fundraising experience gained in a charitable environment across major donors, trusts and foundations and corporate partnerships. You will work with the team to develop compelling case for supports, identify and cultivate prospects and build partnerships to secure high value gifts.
