Friends of Moorfields
The Friends of Moorfields is a registered charity supporting the patients and staff at Moorfields Eye Hospital, a world centre of excellence for the specialist treatment of eye diseases.
The Friends provide a range of services to support the work of the hospital by managing the volunteer service, hospital shop and patient information hub.
The Position
The Shop Supervisor is an essential role, responsible for supporting the management of the Friends shop at Moorfields City Road, including customer service and cash management.
The post-holder will be an all-rounder; someone who is comfortable working on their own initiative, is well organised, numerate, and who enjoys the challenges of supporting a small and friendly team. They will be supported to grow and develop in this role, through an active approach to training and development, and through a positive and empowering working environment.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Supervise the Friends Shop for 15 hours per week (11am - 2pm daily), plus full-time cover when Business Development Manager is absent due to annual leave or illness.
2. Support the Business Development Manager in all aspects of the smooth running of the shop, including promoting the shop as central source of information about ‘The Friends’.

The role
In an exciting note role within TEP, we are recruiting our first Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will have an excellent track record of designing and managing marketing and communications campaigns with impact.
Working closely with TEP Directors and ImpactEd Group Directors you will develop, implement and manage the communications and marketing activity for TEP as we build awareness and uptake of The Engagement Platform across the country and internationally.
You will plan campaigns, shape messaging and lead on execution of comms and digital marketing activity. With a wealth of data and insight to draw upon, we are excited to invest in our marketing function to take the benefits of TEP to the market.

About the role

Role Purpose
This is an exceptional opportunity to join the Royal Hospital Chelsea as Assistant Director of Audience Engagement on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. A core focus of the role is to develop the Royal Hospital Chelsea into a national heritage destination while ensuring our community of veterans remains at the heart of everything we do.

Duties & responsibilities
People
- To work alongside and train Companions to increase their skill base and confidence
- To organise the deployment of tasks to individuals and team members
- To train, supervise, motivate, and inspire volunteers and companions.
- To help devise and deliver induction on standards of work to new team members so that retail activities are delivered to the agreed brand, including customer service, merchandising, pricing, stock control, and culture

Warehouse Operation
- To ensure effective and efficient day-to-day operations by maximising quality donations and minimising waste

Safety, Health, and Environment
- To oversee all Health & Safety requirements within the warehouse, taking corrective action as and when required, and informing/liaising with managers and team as necessary

- Ensure safe working systems are adhered to in conjunction with the Emmaus policies and procedures, and are compliant with all relevant legal requirements
