Oak National Academy is a fully remote organisation with over 100 employees and up to 200 freelancers and partners who depend on our systems every day.

We are looking to engage an experienced freelance IT Support Specialist to deliver a defined programme of access management, systems administration and compliance work as we grow.

The focus of this engagement is to ensure our core systems are well-managed, auditable and secure, and that staff and freelancers are well supported in their day-to-day use of them.

The appointed freelancer will bring their own expertise and approach to shape how this work is delivered, working to agreed priorities and timelines, and collaborating closely with Oak colleagues.

This is a remote UK-based role, carried out on an Oak-managed device.

Scope of work

The freelancer will be responsible for delivering the following outcomes:

● Provision of first-line and second-line support across agreed IT workflows, ensuring requests are resolved efficiently and appropriately escalated where required. 

● Monitoring and managing our MDM for hardware and software alerts. 

● Delivering agreed access, provisioning and deprovisioning activities associated with onboarding and offboarding processes.

● Hardware and software troubleshooting across the organisation. 

● Monitoring and managing Google Admin alerts. 

● Effective day-to-day administration of access and permissions across Oak's core systems. 

● Collaborating with the IT & Data Security Officer on IT operations projects.

Experience and expertise

We are interested in hearing from freelancers who can demonstrate:

● 3+ years' experience in IT systems or infrastructure roles, where systems administration, access management and security were a core part of the work. 

● Strong, hands-on expertise in Google Workspace Admin, including user management, groups, permissions and security settings. 

● Experience using MDM platforms and remote support tools. 

● A careful, trustworthy and improvement-focused approach, with a strong appreciation of security, accountability and collaborative working.

● The ability to work independently and take ownership of delivering agreed outcomes. 

● Confidence working within a small, remote team and collaborating effectively with colleagues.

● Google Workspace Admin certification is desirable but not required. We are most interested in practical experience and how you approach the work, so formal certifications are not essential to apply.

Tools and access

We will give you access to all the systems you need to carry out the work. The core tools you will be working with are Google Admin and the Google Suite, NinjaOne, Slack, Notion, 1Password and NordLayer.

We will provide an Oak-managed device (Windows and macOS) for the duration of the engagement. Given the level of system access this role involves, we require all work to be carried out on this device. We will handle device setup and system access before you start, so you are ready to go from day one.

Ways of working

This engagement is offered on a self-employed basis. You will work closely with the IT & Data Security Officer to ensure alignment, share progress, and agree priorities throughout the engagement period.

The On Demand Shift Manager provides operational leadership, clinical oversight and shift coordination for the On Demand bereavement support services which operate Mondays through Fridays 8am to 8pm. The role ensures that children, young people, and adults receive timely, safe and compassionate responses to bereavement needs through digital and on-demand channels.

In addition to line managing the On Demand Bereavement Specialists, the post holder also works on shift as part of the delivery rota to support the team directly, provide real-time guidance, and covers frontline services gaps. This blended role combines hands-on leadership, active service participation, and quality assurance, promoting excellent clinical standards, safeguarding practice, and a culture of learning and care. The post holder will work closely with the Head of On Demand Services to ensure that On Demand Services remain responsive, trauma-informed and aligned with best practice and organisational priorities.

Main Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

· Lead and coordinate daily On Demand service operations to ensure timely and effective response to live support requests

· Working closely with the other On Demand Shift Managers, manage team rotas, shift allocations, and cover arrangements to maintain consistent staffing and service continuity

· Provide real-time oversight during active service hours, offering guidance on case complexity, prioritisation and risk management

· Work on shift as part of service delivery to provide direct bereavement support, model best practice and ensure adequate cover during periods of high demand or staff absence

· Ensure service efficiency through proactive communication, timely handovers, and smooth transitions between shifts

· Support the Head of On Demand Services in monitoring resourcing, workflows and performance metrics

Job purpose

To develop and grow the NCJAA network and develop and maintain effective working relationships with partners and stakeholders.

Job summary

The coordinator is responsible for overseeing all work and development of the NCJAA and sits within Clinks’ National Influencing & Networks directorate . The coordinator will work with a range of different stakeholders, including the NCJAA Advisory Group and the wider membership, to improve policy and practice in relation to arts-based work with people in prison, on probation and in the community. This includes maintaining and strengthening the NCJAA as the leading national network for arts organisations and individuals that work in the criminal justice system.

Reports to: Clinks Director of National Influencing & Networks

1. Duties and key responsibilities

Strategy and planning

· Work closely with Clinks colleagues and the NCJAA network to develop and deliver the NCJAA annual work plan which include a range of activities that will raise the profile and promote the work of the arts sector in the CJS, including events, publications, training, mentoring, research and networking opportunities

· Work closely with Clinks colleagues, the NCJAA advisory group, chair and wider network to help inform and shape the future direction of the NCJAA and its strategic goals, paying particular attention to its role, sustainability and emerging opportunities

· Coordinate the quarterly arts forum in collaboration with the Reducing Reoffending Third Sector Advisory Group (RR3) arts seat holder and government representatives

NCJAA project management & delivery

· Provide leadership for the NCJAA in the arts and CJS sectors

· Deliver the projects set out in the NCJAA’s annual workplan

· Coordinate the functioning of the advisory group of the NCJAA, including its quarterly meetings, minutes and election

Income generation

· Work with Clinks colleagues responsible for income to identify funding sources, submit funding applications and monitoring reports when required, both for specific NCJAA projects and for the future funding of the work as a whole to ensure the sustainability and future development of the NCJAA

· Work with Clinks colleagues responsible for finance to maintain financial oversight of the overall NCJAA budget and all relevant project budgets to support the NCJAA work to progress effectively

Job summary

The Communications and Marketing Manager plays a central role in helping Overcoming MS reach and support more people living with multiple sclerosis worldwide. The role leads the creation of compelling, evidence-based, and emotionally engaging communications that strengthen connections with our community, raise awareness of the Overcoming MS approach, support fundraising, engagement, and behaviour change, and showcase our services and offerings.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Communication and campaign creation 

• Craft engaging, accessible and audience-focused communications which inspire action, deepen engagement and build trust.

About Action Tutoring
At Action Tutoring, we believe every child should be given the opportunity to succeed in school. But in the UK today, young people from disadvantaged backgrounds are less likely to 

achieve the grades they need to progress in life. This isn't because they are any less able; they have less access to the tools to help them reach their potential.

About the opportunity

We are looking for a strong candidate with formal teaching qualifications and experience teaching core National Curriculum subjects to join our established Impact and Quality department as Curriculum and Quality Manager. This role has oversight for ensuring the creation and delivery of high-quality, tailored tutoring resources for pupils and tutors, and managing the quality assurance processes within our organisation. This role includes line managing a team composed of two Curriculum Leads. ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Communications and Marketing Manager with excellent organisational
skills to develop, implement and manage effective communication strategies for a charity based in the
healthcare sector, with a national and local reach across the UK and Ireland.

You’ll have demonstrable experience in planning and implementing different communications strategies
across a range of marketing channels to help us grow our organisational profile, uphold our vision
and values, while extending our reach across the sector to support growth and awareness among the
community we support.

As part of the daily management of the charity’s communications and marketing needs, you’ll work with colleagues and volunteers to raise awareness maximise awareness of our support model, support the organisation through attendance of national and local events and be part of a team representing the charity at key exhibitions during the year requiring you to be away overnight for up to 3 or 4 nights at a time (depending upon location) – approximately 3-4 times per year. You will be integral to our communications and marketing approach, collaborating with colleagues who manage our social media and published communications (e.g. member magazine). Established by group of parents in 1993, Headlines now has over 2,500 members.  Within our charity offer we send out regular newsletters and an annual magazine, Headline News.  We also support families to connect through events such as an annual Family Weekend, conferences and Days Out, and provide information through our helpline and access to psychological support.  We have private social media groups and specific groups within our membership who meet regularly including Cranio Dads, Young Persons Network and a Teens Group.

About the Role

We are looking for Programme Governance Lead to manage and oversee the successful delivery of all programmes/projects within the Programmes Directorate by establishing and leading consistent governance and assurance. The postholder will strengthen programme governance, reporting and risk management ensuring programmes are delivered by agreed methodologies and in a consistent manner.

Key Responsibilities

As our Programme Governance Lead, you will:

• Define, implement and maintain an agreed methodology for programme/project lifecycle governance.
• Chair programme/project boards and ensuring decisions, and actions are documented and actioned.
• Identify risks, issues and dependencies which are not captured by Programme Portfolio Leads. Ensure consistent risk management across projects and programmes. Proactively identify cross-programme/project risks and issues (including those not visible to project/programme leads), implement mitigations, and escalate risks/issues to the Director of Programmes and COO as required. Assess programme/project risks against the NYA risk register and update the register accordingly.
• Produce and present monthly programme governance reports at the Directorate Programme Board, providing clear portfolio-level insight (milestones, deliverables, RAG status, KPIs, benefits, and financial/resource assumptions) to enable effective senior decision-making and assurance.
• Design and run governance routines (e.g., project start-up, weekly/monthly reviews, decision logs, change control) and support high-quality papers and actions for directorate governance forums; ensure timely escalation of material risks, issues and decisions to the COO.
• Support teams to evidence compliance with funder/contractual requirements; ensure appropriate documentation, approvals and version control are in place and accessible.
• Implement and maintain a robust lessons-learned process (during and post-delivery) and ensure findings are integrated into future programmes/projects through updated standards, templates, training and assurance checkpoints.

Job Title:Programme Coordinator (Scotland)

Salary: £32,000 pro rata (depending on experience)

Location: Home-based, within Scotland.  The postholder will be required to attend in-person meetings or events as needed across the UK.

About Wikimedia UK

A registered charity, Wikimedia UK is the national chapter of the global Wikimedia movement. We work with volunteers, communities and partners across the UK to build and improve Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects, so that everyone can access and contribute to reliable, open knowledge. We empower people to find, use, evaluate, and communicate information online and we advocate for a digital ecosystem that is open, equitable and democratic.

Background:

Programme Coordinators at Wikimedia UK lead on partnership work, relationship development, training delivery and volunteer support, usually within particular geographic or topic areas.  We are looking to recruit for a fixed-term, two-year role to deliver and develop our activities in Scotland, and support the wider Programmes team in delivering UK-wide work. For example in 2026, we are planning celebration events across the country for Wikipedia’s 25th, and the post-holder may be involved in their delivery. Apart from the delivery focus on Scotland, there will be scope to get involved with other areas of Wikimedia UK’s programmatic work such as delivering training in other parts of the UK, or supporting minoritised languages (particularly the indigenous languages of the UK), depending on programmatic needs. 

We have had dedicated staff support for activity in Scotland for nearly a decade, and have several successful and ongoing partnerships with a number of educational and cultural institutions, as well as community organisations.  Whilst the focus of this role is primarily on Scotland, Wikimedia UK delivers work both nationally and internationally, and the post holder would be expected to hold a portfolio which contributes to and supports this.

This is a part time post and can be based anywhere in Scotland, and there is an expectation of travel, including quarterly meetings at our office in London.  Some evening and weekend work should also be expected, for which Time Off In Lieu can be taken.  Successful post holders of similar roles in the organisation are skilled in advocacy, creative thinking, and project planning.

Purpose of job: To lead the delivery of Wikimedia UK’s activities in Scotland, by developing and running projects with partner institutions, involving and empowering volunteers, and delivering training, as well as supporting programmatic work outwith Scotland.

Main Duties

Programme Development & Delivery:

• Lead on the development and delivery of Wikimedia UK’s programme in Scotland, in collaboration with the Programme Manager, including seeking new potential opportunities.

• Support other aspects of Wikimedia UK’s programme outwith Scotland as appropriate

• Work with other staff to identify funding opportunities for existing or potential projects, as appropriate

Relationship Management (Particularly in relation to Scotland):

• Act as the main point of contact for partner organisations and volunteers and ensure proactive, effective and regular communications with these stakeholders

• Actively pursue, set up and manage relationships with partner organisations

• Provide support to Wikimedians in Residence 

• Develop, deliver or support a range of activities, such as Wikipedia editing events, Wiki Loves campaigns, editor meetups and content donations, in partnership with other staff and external stakeholders

Community Engagement and Development (Particularly in relation to Scotland):

• Encourage the involvement of volunteers in activities, grow the volunteer base, and provide support for community-led activities

• Design and delivery of training to partner organisations and volunteers

• Support the volunteer grants programme 

Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact:

• Report regularly on programme plans, outputs and outcomes, in collaboration with other staff in the Programmes team

• Handle documentation and record all programme metrics relevant to the role’s portfolio, including updating CRM records for partnerships, volunteers and activities

Communication and Dissemination:

• Contribute to the promotion and dissemination of our work and impact, in collaboration with the Communications team, and including for example blog posts and conference presentations.

• Manage and update the Scotland mailing list, and Scotland pages on WMUK’s Wiki and website. 

• Contribute to knowledge exchange with the international Wikimedia movement 

Travel:

• Attend and contribute to regular team meetings, generally held in London (for which costs will be reimbursed)

• Regular travel across Scotland will be required, and occasionally further afield in the UK (for which costs will be reimbursed)

Person Specification

Essential:

• Experience in the cultural, education or open knowledge sectors, with a demonstrable understanding of how organisations in at least one of these sectors operate and what they might value in a partnership.

• Proven track record of managing external relationships or partnerships, including initiating and sustaining productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders over time.

• Experience planning and delivering public-facing events or programmes, such as training sessions, workshops, community events, or editing/contribution events, from inception through to evaluation.

• Strong communication skills across multiple formats, including the ability to write clearly and engagingly for different audiences (e.g. blog posts, partner communications, reports) and to represent an organisation in public-facing contexts.

• Experience engaging and supporting volunteers or community contributors, including growing participation and sustaining involvement over time.

• Self-motivated and able to manage a varied workload independently, with strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise across multiple projects without close supervision.

• Willingness and ability to travel regularly across Scotland and to London quarterly, with flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as required by the programme.

Desirable:

• Familiarity with Wikipedia or other Wikimedia projects, whether as a reader, editor, contributor, or through previous work with the Wikimedia movement.

• Experience of working with or supporting minoritised or indigenous languages, particularly in a Scottish or UK context (e.g. Scottish Gaelic, Scots).

• Experience using a CRM system to manage contacts, activities, or relationship records.
