The Hearing Voices Projects Support Worker will play a vital role in ensuring that those who need our services receive kind and compassionate support. The role involves a mix of frontline support work, administrative support, and working closely with the rest of the team to build and further develop our services. Therefore, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisation skills.

Within the Hearing Voices Projects, lots of opportunities arise for networking, collaboration, and professional development, which can lead to some fun and interesting pieces of work. We are looking for someone with knowledge of peer support and a range of perspectives on mental health to join our Hearing Voices Projects team and to help us support the people who need our services.

The Hearing Voices Projects have a global reputation for offering compassionate, person-centred support that avoids pathologising experiences, especially those that are often highly stigmatised.

Among other tasks, you will be required to:

• Work with partner organisations to establish hearing voices peer support groups in addition to organising and facilitating existing groups.
• Offer support to a range of people who hear voices and/or have other sensory experiences or difficult beliefs (at the moment, primarily young people and their families) in a variety of ways (email, Zoom, phone, face-to-face).
• Deal with enquiries and offer information to interested stakeholders.
• Facilitate focus groups and support young people’s involvement in a range of areas.
• Support relevant data monitoring and evaluation on the projects.

About the role:

As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:

• Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
• Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.

You will need:

• Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships). 
• Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
• Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
• Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
• Direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.

It is desirable for candidates to be proficient in one or more Eastern European languages.

You will have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to women as well as up-to-date knowledge of legislation relating to survivors of gender-based violence. You will have excellent casework skills, good written and verbal communication skills, clear professional boundaries and be a proactive team player. All candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the feminist values of empowerment and equality which underpin all of our work.

This role will work alongside South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM) who provide the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK. They also provide substance misuse services for people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol with 4,600 staff serving a local population of 1.3 million people.

• Support a caseload of participants, contribute to the development of support plans, risk assessments and reviews.
• Positively promote the pathways available towards independent living within the community. Ensure participants understand what tools and resources are available to them to regain independence.
• Participate in, and encourage R&Ps to participate in the running and development of projects, initiatives, training and volunteering.
• Recognise signs of deteriorating mental health and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent a crisis.

About this job

It is a very exciting time to join the MS Society as Director of External Affairs a brand-new role in the organisation. We are implementing an ambitious cross-organisational transformation programme. And we have just started a new 2025-29 strategy.

We’re looking for an experienced and focused leader who has the ability to drive forward our brilliant Policy & Evidence, Campaign & Public Affairs and PR teams. We’re looking for someone who can work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure our work has a positive impact for the MS community.

With the ability to provide strategic and thought leadership, you’ll act as the leading authority on matters relating to external affairs, providing advice across the organisation including to the Executive Group and Trustees.

You’ll have significant experience of developing and implementing relevant external affairs strategies and of successfully leading policy, communications or campaigning functions in an organisation of comparable size and complexity. You’ll also need to be influential both internally and externally, including representing the MS Society at a range of external meetings with a variety of audiences.

As well as leading on planning and budget setting for the external affairs functions, as a member of the leadership team, you will also contribute to the strategic leadership, planning and policy formulation of the MS Society as a whole.

We’re looking for someone who is committed to collaborative working, who is excellent at building relationships and trust with colleagues at all levels, and whose focus is on supporting high performing teams and enabling them to do their best for the MS community.

Do you want to be at the forefront of national reforms improving access to justice for sexual violence survivors? 

Women and Girls Network (WGN) and Centre for Women’s Justice (CWJ) are seeking a motivated and experienced lawyer with feminist values who will lead on this ground-breaking work.

The successful applicant will work as part of WGN, supporting survivors of sexual violence to access high quality legal advice relating to their rights as survivors of sexual violence within the criminal justice system, challenging unjust decision-making and disproportionate data requests that violate privacy rights, and increasing the legal awareness of WGN team members by developing and delivering training.

About you

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in criminal law or civil cases against public authorities, with a strong understanding of the impact of sexual and domestic violence. They will be self-motivated, highly organised, and capable of communicating complex legal matters clearly to diverse audiences. The candidate will also have a commitment to feminist principles and the values of WGN and CWJ, along with a deep dedication to challenging discrimination and supporting those affected by violence against women and children.

Women and Girls Network (WGN) is a pan-London organisation that supports women and girls affected by all forms of gender-based violence. Our overall aim is to promote, preserve and restore the mental health and well-being of women and girls who have experienced, or are at risk of, gender-based violence, whilst working towards a society free of gender-based violence.

We do this by:

• Providing women-only holistic and seamless therapeutic services, which meet women and girls’ needs and contribute to total and sustainable recovery from the experiences of violence.
• Evidencing the impact of gender-based violence and presenting this information in appropriate forums to affect social change in attitudes towards, and responses to, gender-based violence.
• Developing good practice in the sector by providing training and guidance on specialist service provision and the development of culturally appropriate service delivery.
