Jerry Green Dog Rescue is looking for an inspiring, self-motivated and target-driven Fundraising and Volunteer Manager who can hit the ground running. You will oversee Community Fundraising and Volunteering at Jerry Green Dog Rescue, and will be instrumental in setting the future strategy for Community Fundraising from individuals, groups and corporates, as well as leading on the Volunteering strategy for across the charity.

This role is Hybrid – minimum 1 day per fortnight at one of our centres (Nottinghamshire, North Lincolnshire, South Lincolnshire), with travel across our regions to support your team and visit our centres and shops as required. You will manage 2 x Volunteer and Community Fundraising Officers and 1 x Volunteer Administration Assistant.

As the Volunteering and Community Fundraising Manager you will be responsible for:

· Developing and defining the Community Fundraising strategy and Volunteering strategy, with income stream responsibility for Community, Corporate, Third Party and Virtual Products.

· Implementing excellent supporter experience across community fundraising and volunteering.

· Leading on exciting projects such as the growth of our Virtual Products and Third Party event offering for supporters.

· Inspiring and motivating your team of talented individuals to achieve their objectives, instilling a culture of trust, innovation and being solution-focussed.

· Working collaboratively across the organisation, and as part of the ‘Leads’ group to achieve the aims of our organisational strategy

· Acting as an ambassador for Jerry Green Dog Rescue, and living our values in everything you do, with your colleagues, supporters and volunteers.

· Keeping up to date with sector trends across community fundraising and volunteering, and ensuring adherence to relevant legislative requirements.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Lead Trusts & Grants Officer is responsible for developing and delivering income from mid-value grant making funders, notably trusts and foundations. The role involves managing a dedicated pipeline of opportunities, writing and submitting compelling applications, and stewarding funder relationships. This position works closely with service teams to understand project needs and create accurate budgets and impactful funding proposals. This role will also provide direct line management to the Trusts & Grants Officer, supporting their professional development and ensuring the team's overall success in meeting fundraising targets.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising and Grants Management

• Pipeline Management: Lead on prospecting, developing and managing the mid-value trusts and grants pipeline, focusing on bids around £20,000 - £70,000, including multiyear grants, ensuring a consistent flow of opportunities to meet team income targets. Developing the skills and ability to manage higher value and more complex strategic bids.

• Application Writing: Develop and submit compelling, high-quality grant applications and proposals for mid-value funders, working closely with service teams, ensuring accurate budgets and income against Adoption UK’s strategic priorities.

• Stewardship: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of new and existing mid-value funders, providing timely and impactful reports to secure renewed funding, and developing relationships with key external contacts through excellent communication.

• Reporting: Oversee the accurate tracking of all applications, reports, and communications using team tracking methods, and the CRM database, providing regular progress updates to the Senior Trusts & Grants Manager.

• Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Trusts & Grants Manager, the Trusts & Grants Officer, and service teams, to align fundraising activities with the organisation’s strategic priorities and annual income targets.

• Undertake other duties and projects as directed by the Senior Trusts & Grants Manager and Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications.

Team Management and Development

• Line Management: Provide line management and support to the Trusts & Grants Officer, including regular one-to-ones, appraisals, and professional development.

• Training and Mentoring: Guide the Trusts & Grants Officer on best practices for researching, writing, budgets, and stewarding of small-value grants.

As Community and Corporate Events Manager, you’ll take ownership of our events calendar, designing and delivering a range of engaging, purposeful, and high-impact events that support our mission and generate essential income.

• Plan and manage fundraising events, such as sponsored sleep-outs, our flagship annual ball and community events
• Develop new event ideas that inspire community engagement and increase income
• Oversee all logistics budgets, suppliers, venues, health & safety, volunteers

• Promote events through our digital channels, press, and local networks

Purpose of the Job

This role is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to join the UK Youth Employer Engagement team as part of the Network Delivery Department, supporting the Summer Jobs Programme. Legacies are one of the most vital sources of income for Operation Smile UK, helping us continue our work supporting patients with cleft around the world. We’re now looking for a Legacy Administration Manager to join our dedicated team and ensure that every gift left to the charity is managed with care, professionalism, and in line with the wishes of our supporters.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of residuary, specific, and reversionary legacy cases from initiation to completion, optimising income while upholding all legal, ethical, and organisational standards.
• Communicate with empathy and professionalism with executors, solicitors, and beneficiaries’ families, including handling enquiries and confirming receipt of legacy notifications.
• Review estate documentation and valuations, determine the charity’s entitlement, and verify that all due funds are correctly received.
• Ensure that all relevant charity tax reliefs are properly applied for, including Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax appropriations, and Income Tax (form R185).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all legacy income and correspondence within OSUK’s CRM system and Finance Tracker.
• Track the status of ongoing cases, pursue outstanding actions, and take prompt steps to address issues or disputes as they arise.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams—such as Finance, Supporter Care, and Partnerships—to promote strong stewardship and compliance.

Person Specification

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and communicate clearly and sensitively, both in writing and verbally.

· Proven experience in legacy administration within the charity sector or in probate and estate law.

· Highly organised, with the capability to prioritise and manage a diverse caseload effectively.

· Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, documentation, and data entry.

· Skilled in interpreting wills, estate accounts, and related legal documents.

· Competent in reviewing estate accounts to verify the correct application of Inheritance Tax (IHT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and to ensure estates are properly finalised.

Outline of the role

The IT Manager at IAPB will be responsible for overseeing our IT systems, infrastructure and digital services, ensure they are reliable, secure and aligned with IAPB needs. This role will provide leadership on IT strategy, manage day to day operations, be the key liaison with our outsourced IT provider and support staff to use technology effectively to deliver our mission. We have staff located both in the UK and globally, so working effectively with and understanding the needs of our diverse workforce is key.

Scope and accountability

Reporting to Head of Finance, the post holders role will include:

1. IT strategy and planning

• Conduct a full review of all IT systems and processes
• Develop and deliver the IT strategy in line with organisational goals

Role Purpose

We have been operating Volunteer Centre Newcastle (VCN) since 2005. The Volunteer Centre provides a wide range of support, around all things volunteering, to over 1200 charities, organisations, and groups locally. We also support 2500+ members of the public each year, who are interested in volunteering and need some support to get started.

As our Volunteer Centre Officer, you will play an important role in promoting and supporting volunteering across Newcastle. You will help more people get involved in volunteering and make sure that volunteering is valued and recognised across the city.

Working alongside the Volunteer Centre Manager, you will:
