About the role
- Job Title: Justice Programme Manager
- Location: Remote/Hybrid/Nottingham
- Salary: £40,000 p/a based on 35 hours per week

Headway is seeking a new Justice Programme Manager who will expand the current services to have a greater impact on police and probation services, improving knowledge and understanding and the support offenders with brain injuries receive.
We want someone who can both oversee the existing projects, such as our brain injury ID cards, whilst expanding the services in line with our new strategy, due to launch in the summer of 2024.
What will you do:
- Develop and implement a strategy for Headway’s work within the criminal justice system.
- Work with and develop key relationships across, police, probation services to improve knowledge and systems for offenders with brain injuries.
- Develop new justice related projects, including working with Headway’s fundraising team, to generate new income to expand the services.
- Work with the network of local Headway charities, to expand their work, within the justice system.
- Manage and deliver Headway’s justice related training initiatives.
- Oversee the successful delivery of Headway UK’s Brain Injury ID Card, including the line management of the project lead.

We are looking for a new full time, 17-month fixed term Funding Officer to join the passionate, vibrant and friendly team in the North West Region to be part of ensuring our funding supports a wide variety of communities and places locally. The role will cover Greater Manchester, with occasional work in other parts of the North West.
The team is based remotely across the North West of England and this role is to support delivery in Greater Manchester. Ideally the successful candidate will live in Greater Manchester and will be part of the local team, led by a Funding Manager, and comprised of several other Funding Officers.
As a member of the funding team you will assess applications for funding and manage grants from our Reaching Communities and Partnerships programmes. Person specification

Required
- A passion for social impact, with a particular focus on supporting marginalised communities.
- Demonstrated relevant work experience and proven track record of achievement in the field of organisational development and capacity building, preferably in the Global South.
- Proven experience in communication, project coordination and external outreach, ideally within a diverse and dynamic environment.
- Strong cultural competency, interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team and with a range of external partners
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in English and in Afghanistan’s local languages.
- A “self-starter” able to work independently as well as collaboratively in carrying out responsibilities, with the ability and energy to multi-task and manage a dynamic work environment.

- Experience working with Afghan CSOs and a good understanding of their dynamics is highly desirable.

The scope of activity of the Foundation is the support of restoration and development projects in the fields of medicine and education. It also includes providing the population of Ukrainian territories with food, clothing, medicaments, medical equipment and other essentials during the active phase of the war.
As Fundraising and Development Manager, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing the fundraising strategies to support the Foundation’s priorities. The Director of Operations will work as part of the management team to develop and implement the organisation’s strategy and operational plans and to build the longer term sustainability of the organisation. The post holder will work directly with the Peer Support Manager and the Senior Online Communities Officer, as well as with colleagues from across the charity to develop our online communities, helping us to reach and support more people affected by bowel cancer and those concerned about symptoms, risk and pre-diagnosis.
