We're looking for a Head of Net Zero Carbon Fundraising to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract

The Net Zero Carbon programme has been established to help the Church of England to deliver its commitment to reaching Net Zero Carbon by 2030. It aims to equip, resource and support all parts of the Church to reduce carbon emissions from the energy used in its buildings, schools and through work-related transport by 2030.

All parts of the Church will need to raise funds to implement this Net Zero plan. The Giving Directorate is working alongside the core Programme Team to leading on the strategy to coordinate and support the plans being developed by our dioceses, churches, cathedrals, schools, and departments to secure the funds needed and distribute grant funding to leverage further fundraising.

• This is a 12-month fixed term contract

• You will be expected to travel to Church House, Westminster 1-2 times a month

• You will need a Professional Qualification or membership of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising as well as Substantial fundraising experience across philanthropy, grants and community fundraising
  

Open Age is seeking a passionate and experienced Project Coordinator to lead our unpaid carers service for people aged 50+ in Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea.

We’re looking for someone who understands the challenges of the caring role, has experience in developing and delivering engaging activities with participants, and is confident in capturing outcomes, gathering data, and producing high-quality monitoring reports. You’ll be highly organised, flexible, and responsive in your approach, with the ability to manage competing demands effectively.

The Clinical team at Diabetes UK gathers the diabetes management and prevention insights to help inform the organisation. As a valued member of the team, you will develop and share your knowledge and experience internally and externally to support Diabetes UK’s strategy. Role description:

You will lead a clinical area of diabetes, be an expert resource and maintain a good knowledge in all areas of diabetes care and prevention. You will gather new insights that help to inform Diabetes UK work, information and messaging while supporting other colleagues in developing diabetes knowledge. You will provide expertise within your clinical area on a range of matters including the development of products and resources, improving public understanding of diabetes through local and national media channels, reviewing evidence-based practice, and critically appraising to ensure clinical accuracy. Working with other colleagues, you will deliver wellbeing programmes to young people with type 1 diabetes. You may be required to provide clinical support and advice e.g. administer hypo treatment, advise on carb counting and support attendees who may have special needs.

The ideal candidate:

You will be a registered healthcare professional with clinical experience in diabetes preferably in paediatrics care within the NHS as a dietitian, nurse, or doctor. You will be passionate about using an evidence-based approach to creating resources for people with, and those at risk of, diabetes and healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will have experience of working across multiple teams, and be up to date with current developments, and trends, in diabetes care and prevention. You will be flexible in travelling around the country regularly to deliver wellbeing sessions including overnight stays, during some weekends and school holidays.

Scripture Union England & Wales (SU) one of the UK’s longest-established children and youth ministry organisations is  working in partnership with Activate, an exciting local sport and wellbeing project, to offer this unique role to reach many more young people in the Bushy Park area and across the South of England through physical activity. 

We’re looking for a creative and entrepreneurial individual with a passion for using sport to help children and young people across the South of England to explore and respond to the good news of Jesus. 

This unique role combines the benefits of direct face-to-face engagement with young people in a local context, delivering mission through sport activities and programmes, while also developing and mentoring others to expand ministry across the South region. About Activate 

Activate is a sport and physical activity-based programme, formed in 2018, seeking to build community through wellbeing that invigorates faith.  Activate seeks to release God’s people to join in his mission through sport and physical activity in the areas surrounding Bushy Park. This includes gathering, encouraging and empowering local Christians involved in sports ministry, including expressions of chaplaincy and missional communities centred around sports clubs, centres, educational settings and gyms.  A number of local churches across denominations and Dioceses have been supporters of the project. 

In the past Activate has supported sports projects in local schools, an activity-based church service, wellbeing cafe sessions, exercise sessions for the elderly and youth activities.  The successful candidate will be involved in re-launching Activate’s mission after a break due to staff changes. 

About your team

With this role, you will have the benefit of being part of a national-focused sports team at SU, as well as the south team with a regional focus and the local context with Activate. You’ll work out of the office of St Peter’s Church, West Molesey, benefiting from the support of a local parish-based team including clergy and youth workers. You’ll contribute your expertise in a variety of settings, ranging from urban and suburban to coastal and rural areas across the south. You’ll have a brilliant time getting acquainted with this rich tapestry of local and national partners. Across the south region, we currently work with 130 churches and have 150 faith guides. About the role

As an Experienced Practitioner, you will provide direct support and care for our young people who have complex emotional and mental health difficulties (such as trauma and loss) and can struggle to regulate their emotions.

Working within a therapeutic framework, you will develop a direct programme of work aimed at developing authentic relationships with our children and young people (aged 12 – 17 years old), you will also have responsibility for making sure our residents are safe, providing support, liaison with other professionals and completion of support documents to record information.

If applying for the Waking Night role, you will have the additional support of an on-call manager should there be any emergencies. Further to this, you will be involved in monthly team meetings and receive monthly supervision.

Applicants should have

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (i.e. Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People Workforce with the children's social care pathway) or be willing to achieve the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 2 years as per Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 (England).

About the role

We are looking for a creative and proactive Communications Officer to join our small but dynamic Brand and Communications Team. This role requires a basic DBS/PGV check. Our team plays a key role in supporting the work of Volunteering Matters across the UK, ensuring that the impact of our projects, staff, and volunteers is shared widely with both internal and external audiences. Key tasks include:

• Support the development and execution of a comprehensive internal communications strategy that drives colleague engagement and strengthens a unified organisational culture aligned with strategic objectives. 

• Develop and disseminate impactful, timely, and relevant internal communications content that resonates with colleagues across the organisation. 

• Provide operational and administrative support to the Brand and Communications Team to enhance our efficiency and reach. 

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications efforts through rigorous analysis of feedback, metrics, and data insights, leveraging findings to refine and optimise strategies at a national level. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all internal communications initiatives reflect and reinforce the organisation’s core values, mission, and strategic vision. 

• Provide guidance, training and support to various departments in crafting effective internal communications materials, ensuring consistency in tone, style and branding.

• Create inspiring and straightforward stories with a focus on powerful imagery and video content. 

• Work closely with communications colleagues in the #iWill Movement to champion youth social action.

The Campaigns and Communications Lead will play a key role in the Campaign for Hope strand of the project, as well as supporting other project strands. You’ll be central in helping us work out how we tell the story of this project to different audiences, and how we bring different voices into the project to help us engage deeply with what that story really is as the project evolves. You’ll ensure we have effective and impactful communication across the project, working closely with our expert Communications and Influencing teams. This will include supporting communications across our partnership, as well as external-facing communications. You’ll bring experience of creating impactful communication in different formats for different audiences, and of developing campaigns.

You’ll manage staff (from Year 2) and work with them to build campaigning capacity within local community pilots, and across the professional networks, including making sure that learning is gathered, disseminated and activated across the project. You’ll build connections with influencers, including making sure the project engages with evolving policy in Wales, Scotland and England. Galop is looking for an experienced group work facilitator to deliver high quality group sessions for LGBT survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, and LGBT young people.
 
Our recovery group work offers practical support and psychoeducation to support clients in their recovery journey from abuse and violence. This role will also involve providing group prevention support to LGBT young people focusing on identity, community and healthy relationships. These groups will be co facilitated and be run both online and in-person.
 
In this role, you will complete assessments for clients referred into group work and offer a space to clients to discuss their options for support. You will work collaboratively with other services to create networks and referral pathways through outreach. You will also be required contribute to the creation and refinement of Galop’s group work materials as well as ensuring all materials are kept up to date and in line with best practice recommendations.
 
You will be empathetic and thoughtful in your approach to understanding your clients’ needs, while remaining boundaried and mindful of self-care. Your work will enable LGBT people to feel supported, heard and empowered in the face of abuse and violence.
 
You will work within Galop’s Advocacy and Support team supporting LGBT people facing abuse or violence. You will have an in depth understanding of groupwork facilitation and the spectrum of violence and abuse that LGBT people can face, including the causes, impact and barriers to accessing services. You will be skilled in assessing and navigating safeguarding concerns and have experience of working with both adult and children's safeguarding procedures.
 
Location: Galop’s offices are located in London. This role will be hybrid working and will include home working, working from the office and delivering groups in the community.
