The Finance Officer is responsible for working within the core Wheels for All team to provide finance team support to the wider programme delivery and national staff team. By working with colleagues to maintain financial systems, accurate record keeping and undertake financial administration they will provide the support required to implement and improve the processes needed to maintain the accurate financial management systems which are crucial to supporting the charity’s mission. This role would suit someone with at least 2 years’ experience in a charity finance role, who has experience or knowledge of all the core accounts department processes and some understanding of different charity income streams. We are seeking to appoint two experienced Safeguarding Officers on a permanent contract; altogether 1.3 full-time equivalent between the two posts, with hours being negotiable with successful candidates.The post holders will have a relevant professional qualification and be able to demonstrate a proven track record of direct safeguarding practice with vulnerable adults or children or both. Engagement Officer tasks and requirements:

We’re a small charity that brings communities together to create cleaner, connected and safer urban and rural neighbourhoods by tackling the litter problems where they live. Litter-picking brings people closer together, enables neighbours to meet one another other and helps create a greater sense of pride and community in local areas.

About the role

We’re recruiting for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to steer us in the next stage of our journey. This is an exciting development of an existing role at Overcoming MS and will allow the successful candidate to make the position their own.

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for delivering an innovative new digital marketing approach, through the innovation, creation and delivery of projects and activities which increase leads, donations and engagement for Overcoming MS charity.

 Key Responsibilities

The Digital Marketing Manager will work across several areas, including:

1. Conversion optimisation

· Increasing our donations and data capture - to enable us to continue the dialogue and create donations from a greater percentage of those who visit our website, or interact with other digital channels.

· Working with our agency partner to optimise key landing pages and signposting for conversion.

2. User journey optimisation

· Helping people find the right content based on data optimisations so that more people find what they need and understand what else the charity could offer them. Using HotJar for insights.

· Automated email journeys - Building customer journeys to support the Program pillars to build deeper relationships with people in our community.

3. Increasing reach and traffic generation

· Testing different low-cost digital reach opportunities.

· Including paid social, referral activities, calls to action across our channels, YouTube SEO and SEM. Working with an agency to optimise journeys from Google Grant, leading to clearly articulated actions (eg donations, sign-ups, click-throughs).

4. Testing to improve results continually 

· Email AB testing - Deliver AB testing to inform future email AB tests.

· Plan AB testing for email marketing projects, for the website, and other projects as needed to improve conversion rates.

5. Digital project management

· Testing new digital versions of courses and tools. Project management of website updates.

6. Campaign support

· Leading, innovating and supporting advocacy, communications and fundraising campaigns as needed to increase reach, engagement and conversions.

7. Gathering community feedback

· Continue the plan to access regular community feedback to influence Hub improvements and other digital channel improvements.

8. Supplier collaboration

· Working with our suppliers to optimise collaboration, reduce cost and increase impact.

This is a fixed-term, full-time role ending 31st March 2026. The RSPB reserves the right to extend or make this role permanent without further advertising dependent on business needs at the end of the contract term.

We’re looking for an experienced project officer with a passion for working with communities, to inspire and support people to discover, explore and take community-led action for nature in Greater Manchester. This role will work closely with established partners and existing RSPB local groups and volunteers, including the Greater Manchester Swift Champions, to develop new opportunities to work with community groups, focusing on supporting creating new habitats for swifts, one of the UK’s most threatened species. You will explore opportunities for working more closely with young people, with the aspiration to establish two RSPB youth groups in Greater Manchester and a Swift Youth Action Group focused on 16 – 24-year-olds. You will identify where the RSPB can best support and enhance nature, with guidance from local conservation staff.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead front-line delivery of RSPB’s community engagement work at a local level, inspiring people to connect with nature through an 18-month programme of events and activities. Central to this will be recruitment and management of a network of volunteers. The Project Officer will be responsible for developing and running a rolling programme of training to enable volunteers to develop skills to allow them to continue to support nature-based initiatives. 

You will have experience of delivering community projects, events and experience of volunteer recruitment, induction and management, and the ability to motivate volunteers to independently deliver organisational objectives. The confidence to make decisions that enable the continued delivery of key objectives and to keep the project on track is crucial, as is the ability to communicate these decisions, where applicable, with stakeholders and partners.

Specific tasks:

• To lead our community engagement work in Greater Manchester, inspiring local communities to take action for nature, ensuring work is resilient and sustainable beyond the life of the project.
• To build a full picture of local environmental networks and the range of nature recovery and environmental work taking place locally, identifying opportunities to develop new partnerships.
• Act as an advocate for nature recovery within a diverse range of sectors including local government and private businesses to further our support for nature.
• Build links and strengthen existing relationships with RSPB Local Groups and other volunteer-led work taking place in urban green spaces, liaising closely with partners.
• To lead and continue to grow the Greater Manchester Swift Champion network of volunteers with the support of the Species Volunteer Network (SVN), which will allow us to do more for Swifts within local communities.
• Identify opportunities for youth involvement in establishing a Swift Champions Youth Action Group and two new RSPB Youth Groups, working closely with relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver a series of volunteer recruitment, induction, and training days to increase numbers of new active volunteers within Manchester as well as building resilience and upskilling existing volunteers.
• Develop and deliver an 18-month programme of diverse nature-based events and activities (with a focus on Swifts including the installation of Swift boxes and/or bricks).
• To embed evaluation measures and provide regular reports to show impact across Greater Manchester.

Role outline and purpose  

Ensuring the delivery of The Trussell Trust’s vision to end the need for food banks in the UK by developing an in-depth understanding of Trussell Trust food banks in their area and using coaching and assist to build and hold productive relationships to:

· Develop and execute a strategic plan for reducing the need for food banks’ services locally.

· Work alongside local partners to increase public will for long-term solutions to end the need for food banks.

· Develop and manage strategic relationships with key stakeholders to assist evidenced-based policy change at a local level and feed into activity to drive policy and practice at UK wide and national levels.

Role responsibilities 

· Assisting trustees, staff and volunteers within food banks to develop their plans to end the need for their services locally through the strategic key areas of operations, volunteering, data, participation, church engagement, governance and stability, financial inclusion, stakeholder engagement, local influencing, referral pathways and signposting.

· Assist food banks to operate in a safe, legal and dignified manner (through calls, visits, training, meeting facilitation and our risk management and self-assessment processes) and assist the facilitation of good practice within the network and wider organisation (through cluster meetings, regional forums, road shows, webinars, peer support and internal meetings).

· Contribute to the development and promotion of support available to food banks through the Trussell Trust (including use of the digital hub, toolkits, partnerships and expert advice) and assist food banks with grant application processes, as required. 

· Develop and manage positive relationships with relevant external stakeholders, including local councils and anti-poverty networks, to ensure the Trussell Trust vision is understood and able to influence local decisions, whilst supporting and empowering food banks to foster these relationships locally.

· Work with food banks to ensure that local churches (including church leaders) are connected to and have an understanding of the importance of ending the need for food banks in local communities.

· Support the development, and lead on aspects of delivery, of projects with food banks and external partners that contribute to ending the need for food banks.

· Ensure the voice of our network is heard throughout the organisation through reporting, information sharing and participation in additional working groups and projects.

Person Specification 

Technical skills and minimum knowledge: 

· Competent and efficient use of IT, particularly the main Microsoft Office programmes. Previous experience of Salesforce or similar CRM system is desirable.

· Experience of working innovatively and creatively. 

· Experience of complex problem solving and responding to crisis situations. 

· Strong organisational skills and experience of managing competing priorities within challenging timescales.  

· An appreciation and understanding of the significance of Christian faith within our food bank network, and the ability to build effective relationships in contexts where Christian faith plays a major part, and in which people of all faiths and none collaborate to make a difference together. Food banks in our network are typically governed by or run in partnership with local churches from across a wide range of denominations and traditions.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced operations manager to join our team. We are looking for someone who will help strengthen the foundations of our organisation, as well as help us expand our growing network of partner organisations across the UK. 

As a small charity, the role will require balancing practical tasks with strategic planning and management. Building on what has already been done, you will work directly with the CEO to help build the operational structure of Big Green Heart, and support its day-to-day operations. 

You will also facilitate the national deployment of Big Green Heart workshops across the UK, and will work with the CEO and trustees to implement the strategy needed to upscale the work of Big Green Heart.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will develop and implement operational policies, procedures and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation.

• You will monitor and evaluate the operational performance of the organisation, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

• You will manage the operational activity of our Big Green Heart experience days, supporting the CEO in the delivery of them. 

• You will work closely with our partner organisations who are using the Big Green Heart model, ensuring that the high standards and values of our teaching are maintained.

• You will also work with the Big Green Heart team to onboard new partner organisations. You will work with them to understand their needs and secure buy-in. 

• You will collaborate with the trustees, who also contribute to tasks linked with Big Green Heart's development. 

• You will manage the budgeting and financial planning processes, working closely with the Treasurer.

• You will be trained as a Big Green Heart facilitator with an expectation that you may be needed to facilitate a workshop during your time at the organisation.

• You will participate in professional and networking events related to Big Green Heart’s field of intervention.

• You will support staff members, trustees and volunteers, providing guidance and training in the operations of the charity as needed.

• At least two years experience in operations management, preferably within the charity sector. 

• A self motivated individual, capable of independent working.
