About the role

We are looking for an experienced Finance Partner to provide family leave cover until September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well established team, providing finance and business support to Heads of Department within our Communities and System Partnerships division, and their teams.
You will be monitoring the budget that the teams invest in grants that are awarded to the external partners with whom Macmillan works to support people living with cancer. This investment funds established roles such as Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialists and Macmillan Support Workers, as well as new, innovative ways to reach minority groups in the community or to lead whole system change for cancer care.
You will be working with the teams to accurately forecast their full year expenditure, maintain the latest view of their spend for the year and review the monthly management accounts to highlight and investigate variances.
You will work closely with a Senior Finance Business Partner and other Finance Partners mainly online and through occasional in person get-togethers. Wider Finance team meetings are held face to face quarterly in London.

- Previous experience in finance partnering

The Finance & HR Lead
We are looking for a Finance & HR Lead to take charge of the financial health of our charity by administering a high quality and effective financial management service to The OutHouse. The OutHouse is going through a period of change and we need a finance practitioner who is able to support the organisation in its financial management. You will also have oversight of our HR function. This is a busy role within a small team that is looking to make a huge difference within our community. Key Activities & Responsibilities
As Finance & HR Lead, your key activities and responsibilities will be to:
Finance Responsibilities
- Provide a high quality and effective financial management service to The OutHouse.
- Prepare, develop and analyse finance and accounting information, including income and expenditure processing, ensuring information is timely precise, clear, informative and understood
- Keep good quality accounting records for our charity by preparing annual accounts and maintaining up to date records on our accountancy and book-keeping systems (making any recommendations for improvement as necessary)
- Work with the CEO and Operations Change Manager to ensure efficient financial management and planning systems, ensure financial reports effectively inform business development and fundraising strategies and that the organisation demonstrates value for money across all activities and services
- Prepare information for our Funders on funded projects expenditure and work with the SLT to present this in a meaningful way
- Attend Trustee meetings as required to provide information and analysis ensuring partnership with CEO and board Treasurer to allow for easier financial decisions
- Ensure financial information supplied to management and the board is full and accurate so as to support sound decision making
- Ensure compliance and proactively highlight potential risk with relevant financial statutory and regulatory matters
- Identify and manage risks and contribute to the risk register on financial matters and wider decision making when appropriate
- Keep up to date with financial developments across the sector and changes in requirements for charity reporting and legislation
- Make sure financial reporting complies with relevant legal requirements

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To provide excellent support to the Head of Operations having full regard to the charity’s objectives and priorities at all times, meeting or exceeding the Charities legal, ethical and moral standards. Developing and leading on the delivery of existing fundraising events as well as developing and delivering future events (which will include overnight stays) Build high value relationships with members and donors, for a wide range of audiences and media, supporting communications and marketing activities, working closely with colleagues across the organisation.
A good telephone manner is essential, together with excellent literacy, verbal analytical and IT skills, coupled with the ability to work to tight deadlines, often under pressure. To be able to show initiative and a ‘can do’ attitude at all times

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fundraising
i. Work collaboratively with multiple internal stakeholders to capture and understand requirements, identify new opportunities or build on existing activity to help achieve income targets.
ii. To data input and maintain events in line with current practices.
iii. To help find volunteers to attend events.
iv. To send out and organise fundraising merchandise and materials for Cinnamon Trust and volunteer events.

vii Have a good working knowledge of charity legislation and work to the Institute of Fundraising Codes of Practice and Fundraising Standards.

Events
i. To be available to attend major events for The Cinnamon Trust, making sure that all holidays are worked round our events diary.
ii. To drive The Cinnamon Trust van and trailer to events.
iii. To promote The Trust at events and always present a positive and professional image.
iv. To make sure the appearance of the stand is always presentable.
v. To manage volunteers at an event and give a briefing at the beginning of the day regarding objectives.
vi To seek any permissions required for an event and complete risk assessments required.
vii To make sure that furniture and other equipment is available at each event.
viii To make sure all materials for an event are event appropriate (eg: could be a volunteer driven event or PP) and well stocked.
ix To account for stock and merchandise for each event and fill out request forms that will be logged against each event.
x. To make sure that any cash taken at an event is kept safe.
xi. To liaise with the PR and Marketing department regarding events and to supply photos and copy for their use. To work with the PR and Marketing team regarding fundraising campaigns and promotions.

About the opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in Newcastle.
- The Newcastle Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. They attend the weekly tutoring sessions at each school, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.

The Workforce and Careers Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the planning, development, and sustainability of the paediatric medical workforce across the UK. Working within the College’s Workforce and Careers team, you will lead and contribute to projects that ensure safe and sustainable services for children and young people by promoting paediatrics and supporting members throughout their careers.
You will be responsible for delivering a range of high-impact initiatives, including workforce research, service configuration guidance, career pathway support, and coordination of the College’s “Stepping Up” programme for new consultants. The role combines research, project planning, and stakeholder engagement with data analysis and policy alignment, requiring strong collaboration with clinicians, internal teams, and external partners.

Position: Programme Officer
Reporting to: Senior Programme Manager

The Programme Officer will work closely with both the project teams and the wider organisation to support the effective management and delivery of projects across from our London office.
Purpose
The Programme Officer will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation of project delivery activities across our portfolio, predominantly in Africa, Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East. The post holder will support project delivery, ensuring quality expectations (internal and client), delivering within the scope and budgeted resources of projects, and in line with project timelines. They will work closely with other members of the programme delivery team, our technical team, delivery partners, and consultants to ensure projects maximise their positive impact and will also support the Senior Programme Manager to disseminate good management practice across the organisation, and advise on delivery approaches.
Main Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Programme Officer include the following:
1. Project Support
- Provide support to Programme Managers in the delivery of projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope and comply with client contracts
- Take on the project management of assigned select projects within a determined budget/complexity threshold, ensuring that they are delivered to time and quality
- Set-up and monitor project workplans, including change requests ensuring that approvals are formally recorded and filed
- Manage day-to-day relationships with delivery partners and internal team(s) and build a solid understanding of delivery needs and timelines across projects
- Monitor and support timely client and consultant billing and invoices attached to delivery
- Support onboarding of consultants for new projects, including due diligence checks and contract preparation based on set templates
- Ensure project management software and tools are accurate and kept up to date for allocated projects
- Provide timely responses to client queries and alert the Senior Project Manager of any potential risks
- Lead duty of care and travel planning for staff and consultants, working alongside administrative officers
- Liaise closely with technical colleagues and Project Managers on project support needs.
2. Project Financial Management
- Monitor project budget performance, capturing variances and liaising with the Finance Team and Senior Programme Manager
- Monitor and support the processing of consultants’ expenses/fees against contracts and client invoices against contracts.
- Make recommendations to ensure financial outcomes are met with respect to time, quality and cost, and provide early warning of project overspend
- Prepare internal project update reporting including finances and resourcing using required management tools.
3. Organisational Support and Business Development
- Provide support in strengthening policies, procedures, and management tools for Development Pathways
- Coordinate with wider project teams to ensure technical capacity is well planned across Development Pathways’ portfolio of projects
- Signpost colleagues to relevant project management tools and processes, when required
- Support project closure processes as required, capturing and sharing lessons internally
- Provide ad hoc input to evolving organisational requirements as directed by senior members
- Assist with the identification and monitoring of business opportunities in donor markets, as requested
- Update SharePoint and ensure project data sheets are developed and up to date to facilitate bids for tenders
- Collate and share project information to support the Business Development and Communications department.
