The Role

 As Head of Financial Planning you will play a big role in shaping our financial strategy and lead on performance management with a particular focus on P3 Housing, our regulated housing arm.

Reporting to the Group CFO, you’ll be the driving force behind our financial planning, monthly management accounts, KPI reporting, and compliance. You will bring insight and clarity to our decision-making, helping us steer the organisation with confidence through changing times.

A key priority for the role will be leading the integration of a new finance system, ensuring it enables robust financial oversight, improved efficiencies, and smarter ways of working across the Group.

This is a 2.5 day a week role which would be perfect for someone looking for a flexible job that makes a big social justice impact. This would suit someone with family responsibilities or who is studying a part time masters course for example, who needs a job role that fits in around their other commitments. You could work it full time over 2.5 days or part time over 4 or 5 days a week.

You will be joining a wonderful team in the UK and Uganda. We currently have two paid staff (based in London and Bournemouth) and a variety of volunteers in the UK, plus a team of 26 staff in Uganda. Your views will be valued and you will get the chance to work together within our team to problem solve and suggest ideas to improve our programmes at every step of the way.

Job Purpose

• To support the Development Manager in securing appropriate funding for the organisation
• To support the Development Manager in managing fundraising partnerships
• To support the administrative functioning of the organisation
• To work collaboratively with, and offer support to, the rest of the UK team, to best meet S.A.L.V.E.’s aims and objectives.
• To work with the S.A.L.V.E. team as required, developing and improving our existing programmes of work to best benefit our service users.
• To raise awareness of the work of S.A.L.V.E. International and be an ambassador for us in the community.

Key Activities

The following activities are intended as a guide to the main responsibilities of the post and are not an exhaustive list of duties and tasks. To carry out these activities you will be working together with and given support by the Development Manager.  The post-holder may be required to undertake other duties that are not listed below, at the direction of their manager.  The job description may be amended from time to time after consultation with the post holder.

• Researching and writing funding applications to Trusts, Foundations and Corporate CSR programmes, in order to secure funding for new programmes or projects
• Writing funding reports, to fulfil obligations to funders
• Building strong relationships with funders and partners, to secure long-term, sustainable funding and identify new funding opportunities
• Leading on the design and delivery of the organisations Community Fundraising strategy
• Supporting the CEO and Development Manager with admin tasks, to ensure the effective functioning of the organisation.
• Working with the S.A.L.V.E. team to deliver on our strategic plan. Contribute to its review and improvements over time to maximise the organisation’s impact with our service users through regular evaluation and learning reviews where required.

Requirements

• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify funding opportunities and assess their suitability
• Excellent IT Skills including a wide range of software packages such as Excel, Word etc
• Experience of using design software packages such as Canva (preferrable)
• Experience using a CRM for donor management (Beacon preferred)

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Uganda and its culture, particularly if you have spent time there.
• Knowledge of international development, homelessness, social entrepreneurship, social work and/or addiction.

The Role

East End Homes, is a locally based and community-led housing association in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. This year East End Homes is celebrating its 20th anniversary. In 2005 residents of five estates across Tower Hamlets voted for their homes and communities to be transferred to the newly established social landlord.  Today, its 120-strong team manages over 3,900 homes with local offices in each neighbourhood. 

The newly created Financial Controller position offers a rare opportunity for a technically strong, ambitious, and commercially aware finance professional to play a key role in reshaping East End’s finance function and influencing decision-making at a senior level. The Financial Controller will be a member of the Senior Management Team and this role is seen as a natural stepping stone toward Finance Director level within the sector.

The Role:

• Work closely with the Finance Director and Executive Team to support strategic planning and organisational transformation.
• Oversee the development and delivery of Eastend Homes’ long-term financial plans, annual budgets, and business modelling (including BRIXX).

The Organisation:

Person Specification – Essential:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA).
• Strong technical knowledge of financial and statutory reporting including FRS102 and Housing SORP.
• Demonstrable experience in social housing finance including business planning, management accounting and regulatory compliance.
• Experience of delivering improvements in management reporting, financial controls, and/or business partnering.

Product and Partnerships Coordinator 

Remote based in North West England 

Fixed term contract for initial 12-month period with potential to extend. 

About the Role: 

We are seeking a proactive and well-organised Product and Partnerships Coordinator to support the development and expansion of our products and partnerships across the North West Region. This role ensures alignment with CSSC members’ needs, market trends, and company objectives to enhance and diversify our product portfolio. This is the ideal role for someone who enjoys working across teams, building relationships, and ensuring high-quality delivery of services and products to our partners and stakeholders. The role will involve identifying and securing new partnership opportunities, in addition to maintaining positive relationships to ensure high levels of member and partner satisfaction.  

Key Responsibilities: 

Product Coordination: 

• Support the planning, development, and roll-out of local products or programmes across the North West region. 
• Maintain accurate records of product performance, usage, and feedback using insight data. 
• Assist in gathering and analysing member feedback and insight to inform product development. 
• Prepare reports on product impact and performance for internal and external stakeholders. 
• Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring that product milestones are met.  

Partnership Management: 

• Act as the first point of contact for local partners. 
• Support onboarding processes for new partners, including negotiations and relationship management. 
• Build strong relationships with existing partners, understanding their needs and helping them get the most out of our services/products. 
• Coordinate partnership activities such as events, pilots, reviews, and communications. 
• Review and monitor insight to track engagement and opportunities. 
• Act as the liaison between cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

General: 

• Represent the organisation in meetings, regional events, and occasionally conferences. 
• Work closely with CSSC Head Office and remote teams to ensure alignment across activities. 
• Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting process enhancements and efficiency opportunities. 
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to plan go-to-market strategies, ensuring successful product launches.  

Person Specification: 

Essential: 

• Proven experience in a coordination role, ideally involving product, project, or partnership work. 
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills. 
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills. 
• Confident communicator, both written and verbal. 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office. 
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. 
• Willingness to travel within the North West Region as required. 
• Proven track record of launching and managing successful products. 
• Keen eye for detail and understanding of UX best practises.  
• Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage competing demands.  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative approach with the ability to quickly build rapport with stakeholders. 

Desirable: 

• Experience in a product-led or partnership-driven organisation. 
• Understanding of customer journey and member insight. 
• Familiarity with data analysis tools or reporting platforms.
• Experience working in or with the public, education, or non-profit sectors.
