As Railway Children’s Community Engagement Worker (London), you will energise key stakeholders to come together to collectively keep vulnerable young people safe on the rail network. You will build and strengthen partnerships with – and between – the rail industry, British Transport Police (BTP) and others working locally with vulnerable young people in order to drive forward innovative approaches to contextual safeguarding.

As part of a dynamic team delivering the Safeguarding on Transport (ST) project, you will be responsible for developing our community engagement work in the London Area as well as supporting our wider UK programme.  The role will require you to engage the public and work closely with British Transport Police, station staff and employees as well as local services in the area. You will support our innovative Safeguarding Action Groups that catalyse communities working in and around London’s stations to combine efforts and resources to keep people safe.

Your engaging manner, strong people skills and experience managing stakeholder relationships will ensure that you are able to help create a safer rail network that is actively seeking to look out for and protect vulnerable young people.

Community Fundraising Manager

The Mencap Community and Events Team has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, motivated and passionate fundraiser, dedicated to raising as much funds as possible to help make the UK the best place to live for people with a learning disability to join our team as Area Fundraising Manger covering Northern Ireland.

Covering the Northern Ireland the Area Fundraising Manger will be responsible for managing various income streams across the Community portfolio working closely with the wider team. 

Within this role, you will achieve agreed fundraising targets through effective management, support and cultivation of both existing and new regional supporters including: individuals, groups, associations, local corporates and schools whilst maximising the current portfolio of Mencap owned products. You will research, identify and develop new community fundraising opportunities, areas of potential support and build a robust pipeline for restricted grants and corporate partners. 

The role is home based. There will be travel around the areas that the role covers. 

This position is a permanent, full-time role to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday. The nature of community fundraising is that there will be evening and weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be given.

· The ability to develop, implement and monitor strategic plans, present budgets and interpret financial information

When a person or their family member sustains a spinal cord injury it is a life changing experience. They can experience a huge drop in confidence, lose their independence and can feel isolated and that no one understands what they’re going through. Back Up was started by volunteers and our volunteers remain at the heart of everything we do, including shaping and delivering our range of services.

The Volunteer Development Assistant will be the main point of contact for volunteer enquiries and requests and will work across Back Up to understand volunteer needs in order for the volunteer team to grow and support delivery of our life changing services. They will be responsible for the administration and coordination of the annual calendar of volunteer training events ensuring that prospective volunteers feel supported and well prepared, and everything is in place for delivery of high-quality training.

The Role

As Philanthropy Manager, you will be contributing towards the ambitious plans to further increase reach and impact over the next three years. This role presents an opportunity to manage and grow the philanthropic income, including leading on the development of the Major Donor programme/s.

Working within the High-Value Engagement Team, you will build relationships with loyal and prospective donors, raising vital funds to power the Association’s work to support people affected by stroke.

· Lead the development of the philanthropic programme/s, using knowledge of sectoral trends and best-practice acquisition, cultivation, and stewardship strategies to reach personal and collective financial targets.

· Submit proposals in order to secure and renew income from major donors.

· Provide the necessary financial information to the Head of Philanthropy and Trusts so that he can prepare budgets and forecasts in a timely manner.

We are seeking to appoint someone on a 12-month fixed term contract as maternity cover, to join our Grants Team in delivering The Ideas Fund, an exciting programme which looks to connect communities with researchers in order to develop and try out ideas related to mental wellbeing. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individuals to join our fundraising team as a Supporter Engagement Officer. In this role, you will play a vital role in building and growing relationships with our individual donors and managing digital campaigns and challenge events to help the team raise as much funding as possible to support people experiencing homelessness across London.

As the Supporter Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for the stewardship of new and existing donors to becoming regular Single Homeless Project supporters. Job Title – Director of Communications & Development

Salary - £45,000-49,000 FTE pro rata depending on the candidate

Raise Your Hands supports a platform of 16 exceptional small charities that improve the lives of children & young people around the UK. 

We fundraise on behalf of the small charities on our platform, targeting donors that would normally be out of their reach. We do this by innovating in the fundraising space with a particular focus on corporate partnerships and pioneering events.

We work a lot with the finance sector, and we aim to produce communications that cut through and offer a fresh voice in this space. 

Requirements

We’re looking for an experienced senior marketer from a B2B or charity corporate fundraising context who will embrace non-traditional approaches and test new ideas. Drawing inspiration from both within and beyond the charity sector, you’ll take our marketing strategy to the next level.

This role would suit someone who believes in the power of words to inspire positive action and has an eye for solid design principles.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Development:

• Lead on meeting the relevant organisational objectives in RYH Strategic Plan.
• Shape overall messaging and brand development
• Coordinate strategic content planning and campaign management.
• Editorial oversight of digital assets, copy, design and brand
• Track and measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts to make data-driven decisions.

Digital Marketing and Campaign Management:

• Deliver on existing Corporate Marketing Plan and develop it further
• Test new ideas for multi-channel marketing strategies
• Manage a lean budget and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
• Use ABM to identify high-value prospects and optimise targeted marketing efforts.
• Collaborate with the Partnerships Manager on lead generation and donor stewardship.

Content Creation and Management:

• Ensure consistent tone and messaging across all channels.
• Oversee the creation of engaging content, including articles, website updates, newsletters, social posts, pitch decks, and fundraising collateral.
• Apply UX design principles and optimise content for SEO, social media, and donor conversion.

Fundraising Product Development:

• Lead the testing of potential fundraising products, such as new events or stewardship packages.
• Work with the Founder to pilot prototypes and assess their efficacy

Job Description – Operations Manager
IcFEM Dreamland Mission is a Christian charity set up to help fund and support the work of IcFEM in
Kenya. We had been running for almost 20 years with volunteers
running a home-based UK office. Three years ago we employed staff in the UK for the first time. We
currently have income of £350k- £400k a year depending on the projects running. IcFEM Kenya is a
locally run organisation based at Kimilili in Western Kenya. IcFEM Kenya runs community projects as
well as a school and hospital. The past five years has seen our work grow significantly, including the
school and hospital which have developed into large institutions that are valued by the community
in Kimilili and fit well into the local government set up.
We are looking for an individual who is ambitious to see our ministry grow and is experienced at
blending trust in God with human endeavour.
We are seeking an Operations Manager who has experience of the charity sector and is prepared to
be flexible and adaptable to the needs of this small charity. There is the potential for flexibility within
this role and we would be willing to discuss a variation in hours worked. Some occasional evening or
weekend work will be needed, and occasional travel to Kenya is an important part of the role,
particularly to build relationships with the Kenyan team.

Job description

Governance and legal compliance
➢ Review and keep updated UK policy and procedure documentation, writing new policies
where necessary to encompass latest regulations
➢ Regularly review the Safeguarding policy, and risk assessment, with the Trustee who leads
on safeguarding
➢ Work with the Treasurer and Secretary to ensure compliance and deadlines for Charity
Commission
➢ Review “new volunteer” and “new staff member” packs to ensure they meet the legal

Are you passionate about supporting an end to Rough Sleeping; and want to develop a management career in the charity sector? 

No Second Night Out provides a rapid response to rough sleeping. We are currently looking for a Deputy Manager to join our team at the Great Guildford Street Staging Post (GGS).

GGS is a pan-London service based at a 52 bed site in Southwark supporting clients with a range of support needs. Taking referrals from the NSNO Assessment Hubs, the team undertake high quality Assessment and Reconnection work to support new rough sleepers to move on to suitable accommodation within a target of 56 days. This role will best suit someone who can adapt to a fast paced environment while contributing to and drawing strength from a supportive team of experienced colleagues.

In the pivotal role of Deputy Manager you will work flexibly to support clients where they need us the most:

• Working closely with the service manager to ensure the effective day to day running of the service.
• Managing the production and maintenance of a busy rota ensuring 24/7 cover of the service  
• Providing supportive supervision and line management to Assessment and Reconnection Workers, and other team members including night workers and hub assistants
• Providing guidance on complex cases and leading on escalating where there are external challenges
• Building and maintaining strong relationships, and work in partnership with local authorities, accommodation services and other relevant agencies to ensure clients move on from the service into the appropriate accommodation with the correct support in place.
• Working flexibly to support the rough sleeping service, and our clients when they need us the most.

About you

We are looking for proactive and creative individuals with:

• Experience of working with vulnerable people and supporting a service delivery team.
• The ability to negotiate with a wide range of internal and external partners and build positive relationships.
