About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast moving, youth focused, charity and to play a vital role in securing income to support our youth activities – working with Trusts and Foundations predominantly, but with the opportunity to also build relationships with statutory funders and, in future, major donors.

We are looking for a proactive, organised individual to join Young Enterprise as part of our impactful and collaborative National Fundraising team. YE’s supportive yet driven environment places personal development at its core, to ensure team members thrive. 

Working with the Senior Relationship Manager and the Philanthropy Team, you will contribute to an annual budget of £4.2m and raise income from Trusts and Foundations and small statutory income streams, utilising your income generating and communication skills. You will also undertake prospect research, as well as developing compelling project updates and reports to inspire supporters.

Key Responsibilities

• Income generation - to achieve or exceed agreed income targets, with a focus on securing donations from Trust and Foundations 
• Grant management - working with internal colleagues to track funded projects’ progress against targets and taking action to course correct when necessary. Produce timely, engaging, and accessible project reports to inspire and build donor relationships
• Prospecting - research and qualify a pipeline of Trusts and Foundations and small statutory opportunities to progress and secure financial support for YE.
• Administration - effective administration across YE systems and platforms
• Donor stewardship - some travel required to support YE activities with young people in schools, donor visits to projects

A few practical things

• This is a hybrid role, requiring you to work from a YE office (London or Oxford) at least 8 times per month
• The role will involve travel to events, typically at schools, which take place during term time, however some evening working may also be required.

The Maitri Trust is looking for an experienced Grants Operations Manager to join our team. This role will lead the process and operations which form the backbone of our grantmaking, coordinating application and selection cycles, ensuring compliance and due diligence are robust and timely, and building systems that support our team, as well as both existing and future partners.

Preferred start date: January 2026.
Hours: Full-time (35 hours a week), 80% FTE will also be considered. Flexible working possible.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The Grants Operations Manager plays a central role in ensuring the Maitri Trust's grantmaking processes are efficient, compliant, and supportive of both our team and our partners. You will coordinate operational workflows across the grants pipeline, manage high-volume application cycles, and ensure seamless communication between applicants, reviewers, and internal teams. You will also ensure efficiencies within our current active grant portfolio, ensuring that reporting and systems are set up to be as effective as possible. Working closely with colleagues across Programmes, Operations, and Impact & Engagement, you will help build and maintain the systems that enable our grantmaking to deliver maximum impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Grant Operations Management

• Review and improve operational processes for managing the current active grant portfolio to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Coordinate the implementation and smooth running of workflows across the full grant management lifecycle, including open and closed calls.
• Manage and coordinate high-volume application cycles to ensure smooth and timely processing.
• Facilitate clear communication between current partners, applicants, reviewers, external providers, and internal teams to support effective grantmaking.
• Prepare regular updates and reports for the leadership team and Maitri Trust Board of Trustees.

Grant Processing & Review

• Co-lead the operational design and delivery of open calls with the Head of Programmes.
• Configure and test the Fluxx grant management system to optimally support open call processes.
• Maintain high quality standards in application processing, proactively identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Draft, customise, and send outcome notifications and feedback to applicants.
• Manage escalated correspondence and queries from applicants and partners as needed.
• Coordinate the timely assignment and review of applications throughout the funding pipeline, ensuring shortlisted applications progress smoothly through review and approval stage.
• Maintain application processing quality standards and identify process improvement opportunities.

System Management, Grant Administration and Contract Management

• Act as System Administrator for the Fluxx grant system supporting its end-to-end management.
• Coordinate the due diligence relationship with external provider, consolidating internal technical and financial due diligence. 
• Oversee protocol on information/records management, ensuring information is appropriately recorded and archived in accordance with data protection requirements.
• Monitor and report on application numbers, quality metrics, and process performance and regularly report on these to the Maitri Trust team and Board of Trustees.

Collaboration and Support

• Work closely with the Head of Programmes and Grants Portfolio Manager to ensure seamless grant management of both new and current grants. 
• Deputise for Head of Programmes when required.
• Back stop Grants Portfolio Manager on key partnership management as necessary.
• Undertake occasional travel to support partners on-the-ground, providing operational assistance as needed.

YOUR SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND PROFILE

Essential

• Minumum 5-7 years of experience in grant operations, grant management, or related roles within international development, philanthropy, or a funding organisation.
• Strong operational and process design skills, with a track record of managing high-volume application cycles, compliance workflows, and grant systems.
• Experience with grant management systems (ideally Fluxx), and confidence in configuring and optimising digital tools for process efficiency.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain high attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting guidance, documentation, and reporting for diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with open call funding processes, including application review, due diligence, and contracting stages.
• Comfortable working across teams and functions, especially in roles that bridge programmes, finance, and external financial compliance.
• Ability to work across time zones and to occasionally travel within the UK and internationally.

Desirable

• Understanding of data protection regulations and experience managing data and records in line with compliance standards.
• Knowledge of monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems, and how they integrate into grant cycles.
• Experience working in small or medium-sized trusts, NGOs, or philanthropic organisations.​

About the Service

As part of an innovative pilot project, funded by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime, Solace will be providing two specialist workers to support victim/survivors engaged in the perpetrator behaviour change programme as part of a conditional caution. The programme aims to address perpetrators behaviour and increase safety for victim/survivors. In doing so, it is essential that the V/S has holistic support to ensure any risks are identified and managed.

This is a pilot project and it is expected that there will be a considerable amount of testing and learning, trailing new ways of working to meet intended outcomes.

About the Role

You will be working closely in partnership with Police forces in North London, as well as the Hampton Trust, to provide support for victim/survivors engaged in the CARA programme. You will also be supporting Police Officers to discuss eligibility for the programme and conditional cautions. You will be developing and delivering a series of training and learning sessions for the Police. As a new project, you will be developing key partnership relations, to strengthen collaborative working between the Police and Solace. You will provide light touch support to survivors whose partners are engaged with the CARA program, assess risk and share key updates with Hampton Trust and the Police to ensure safety.

About You

We're looking for highly organised and self-motivated applicants who are passionate about ending VAWG. You will have a “can-do‟ approach and demonstrable commitment to Solace’s feminist approach to supporting women and their children to be safer. You will receive training and support for this role as necessary.

Successful applicants will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children, experience of dynamic risk assessment and providing emotional and practical support to victims of VAWG.  As this is a pilot programme where the delivery model may change, a flexible and adaptive approach to your work is important as well as willingness to contribute to programme evaluation. Part of your time will be spent ensuring that Police colleagues have the information they need to effectively administer conditional cautions so you will work closely with Police, Hampton Trust to develop different training elements, a willingness to develop and deliver this material is essential.

A relevant qualification in VAWG is essential, as well as willingness to undergo Police vetting.

Job description 
The purpose of this role is to provide essential, tailored casework support for residents living in Ella’s’ safe house accommodation. The main responsibilities of this role are:

● Provide one-to-one support for safe house residents This includes ensuring that survivors understand their rights and that these are met, coaching survivors to identify and work towards their personal goals, supporting survivors to access appropriate services/treatment providers and ultimately be supported into independence.
● Manage social work students, placements and interns.
● Maintain and develop borough related relationships.

Key tasks
Casework provision
● Provide high quality casework support to residents (housing, financial, legal, mental health, and physical wellbeing support)
● Support survivor empowerment to speak out and self-advocate
● Carry out regular risk assessment with survivors and respond to any safeguarding concerns as per Ella’s’ safeguarding procedures
● Provide day-to-day support and build trusting relationships with the service users
● Be sensitive to the rapidly changing emotional and physical needs of the service users and respond accordingly

● Handle emergency situations calmly and professionally
● Ensure all safety and security procedures are followed to keep self and others safe
● Maintain a safe and secure working environment
● Ensure the location confidentiality of Ella’s’ premises to protect survivors and safeguard staff and volunteers

Other/general duties
● Develop strategic partnerships with local agencies working within the Violence Against Women and Girls sector and other local organisations or businesses that could enrich the work of Ella’s
● Take part in the out of hours on-call service
● Attend any training required for the role, keeping up to date with any developments and changes within the sector

Literacy Pirates’ vision is for every child to have the literacy skills, confidence and perseverance to succeed at school and beyond. We provide free, after-school literacy support to children who are falling behind in class and who have fewer opportunities for additional support due to their personal circumstances than others. About You

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the postholder will work closely with the Individual Giving Manager and other fundraising team members to identify major donor prospects, ensuring thorough research and engagement to cultivate relationships and solicit major gifts. Calan DVS is one of the largest domestic abuse charities in Wales and we are committed to working in partnership to end domestic violence and abuse. Our staff are passionate about what they do and deliver much needed services to support some of the most vulnerable people in society. 

Our service was formed in 2012 as a result of a merger between Neath & Lliw Valley Women’s Aid and since 2012, other Women’s Aid organisations have also joined the group including Brecknock Women’s Aid, Bridgend Women’s Aid and Ammanford Women’s Aid.

At Calan DVS, our vision is to work towards safe and resilient communities free from domestic violence and abuse. To achieve this, we aim to relieve the distress, suffering and poverty experienced by families exposed to domestic violence and abuse. We also aim to educate the public regarding the causes and effects of domestic abuse along with prevention methods 

The Lotus Project:  

The Lotus Project is a new service within Calan DVS which has been co-produced with survivors and stakeholders.  The new service has been implemented to support individuals who are accessing Calan Domestic Abuse services and who have also experienced Sexual Violence.

The service will operate from a trauma informed, strengths based perspective in order to ensure each survivor has consistent yet individualised support throughout their recovery journey.

Each survivor who accesses the service will have the opportunity to receive specialist support through our Sexual Violence Counselling service, tailor made group work program and one to one support.  Survivors will have regular strength based goal setting sessions with their Sexual Violence Support Worker.

Consultations and collaborative working are at the heart of working in a trauma informed way, therefore the Lotus Project will continue to be developed alongside the support staff and survivors who access the service.

Purpose of the role: 

• To provide consistant, psychosocial, trauma informed support for survivors of sexual violence. 

• To ensure each survivor accessing The Lotus Project is informed and empowered on the ways in which to access therapeutic support after experiencing sexual violence.

• To deliver sexual violence specific group work and one to one support. 

• To work in a multidisciplinary manner to ensure each survivor is linked with the appropriate external support services (such as ISVA services, SARC, substance use services) 

Key Accountabilities: 

Sexual Violence Support 

• To provide one to one emotional support for survivors of sexual violence who would like to access The Lotus Project. 

• From the point of receiving the referral, the SVSW will create a collaborative safety and support plan to help inform the person accessing the Lotus Project of what support is available to them either from the group work program, one to one support session, counselling or ongoing telephone support.

• To link in with external agencies so that the survivor accessing the Lotus Project has access to a full range of support (for example, SARC, ISVA, Substance support, Sexual Health, GP). 

• To have a strengths based, trauma informed approach to working with survivors of sexual violence and to ensure that suvivors are at the center of their own recovery journey.

• To work alongside the professional making the referral to ensure all risk and support needs are considered and actioned in a fair and consistent way.

• To attend professional review meetings with other Calan practitioners who may be supporting the person accessing the Lotus Project.

• To report any safeguarding concerns to their line manager and follow Calan’s Safeguarding Policy and Procedures. 

• To deliver online and in person sexual violence group work programmes (as appropriate). 

• To support delivery of group therapeutic activities such as yoga, self care, art therapy, creative writing, nature walks and document feedback. 

• To provide one to one support for those who are unable to attend the group work program, using the group work program as a structure for those support sessions.

• To work alongside the person accessing the Lotus Project to dispel any rape myths, self-blame and pathologized attitudes towards sexual trauma.

• To have regular case review meetings with their line manager and supervision sessions. 

• To empower and encourage those accessing the Lotus Project to sustain ongoing peer support groups. 

• To support those accessing the Lotus Project to understand techniques to cope with anxiety, flashbacks and other symptoms of trauma. 

• To explore areas of self care with those accessing the Lotus Project and encorperate this into each individuals safety and support plan.

• To write supporting documents for GP’s or other relevant professionals so that the person accessing Lotus Project doesn’t have to retell their story.

Health and Safety 

• To work at all times in a safe and efficient manner and be aware of the Lone Working Policy / Health and Safety Policy and Procedures. 

• Participate in the Risk Assessment processes. 

• Ensuring the safety of the survivors accessing The Lotus Project through ongoing risk assessments and monitoring. 

• To actively engage with their own self care to minimise the impact of vicarious trauma and burnout.

In this newly created role, you will work directly with the CEO, providing oversight and direction to Team Leaders to ensure that services operate effectively and meet contractual requirements.
