Job description

We are looking for highly motivated individual with significant HR professional experience.  Working closely with the Finance and Resources Director, the HR Manager will lead the delivery of West London Zone's HR services with the aim of promoting and embedding best practices. They will ensure that WLZ recruits , engages, inspires and manages its staff so that the organisation can nurture a high performing, enabling culture which aligns with its vision, mission and values.

Responsibilities include

  • Liaising with our Senior Management Team, Department Heads and the HR Officer to develop a recruitment pack that attracts the best candidates and improves the diversity of our workforce
  • Leading on the interview process at WLZ so that we follow best practice and select the top candidates for our roles.
  • Driving the contracting and induction process so that all new staff are aligned with the organisation’s values and safer working practices, and understand their role within WLZ.
  • Refining and codifying our current performance appraisal process to ensure fair, motivating and transparent management of performance.
  • Assessing learning and development needs, and working with the senior leadership team to design training programmes and personal development plans that inspire and encourage a learning mind-set.
  • Training all managers in how to undertake performance management and standardizing our performance reporting across teams.
  • Advising on ad hoc performance management issues, in liaison with the Finance and Resources Director.
  • Advising on grievance and disciplinary issues as necessary in liaison with our HR advisor.
  • Drive the recruitment and selection process to attract the best staff
  •  Lead on a performance management process that drives reflection & high performance
