Summary
Since January 2023, there has been a regular pattern of worship on site in Church House Chapel and online prayer and worship offered by staff for staff based at Church House and in the NCIs as follows:
- Weekly Wednesday Eucharist (said) at 12.30pm in Church HouseChapel;
- Almost monthly'special' Eucharists with choir, congregationalsingingandsermon;
- Daily online Morning Prayer, 8.45am;
- Daily emails offering prayer; and,
- Weekly Pause for Prayer email on Fridays.
In order to ensure the sustainability of the on-site worship at Church House, the Chief Officers of the NCIs are looking for someone who can take on the role of Worship Coordinator. This role focuses on the on-site worship offering, though the Worship Coordinator will be helpful in offering support and collegiality to staff offering online worship and prayer.
As Worship Coordinator you will take the lead in ensuring that there is always a weekly Eucharist, and bringing people together to provide a pattern of worship in Church House Chapel that reflects the diversity of staff at Church House.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organising the rota for the weekly Eucharist in Church House Chapel;
- Presiding at the Church House Eucharist at least once a month, though twice a month may be more likely;
- Ensuring that clergy presiding at the Eucharist are well-briefed;
- Creating orders of service, or work with others to do so, for specialservices;
- Arranging special services (around 8 per year - mainly Eucharistsbut others as well, e.g. carol service) in Church House Chapel (this need not include presiding or being present for these services if you are required elsewhere, but organisation in the run up and ensuring someone to take the lead is essential);
- Ensuring diversity in the people leading and being part of worship in the Chapel;
- Working with the sacristan(s) to ensure that the Chapel is prepared and well-stocked;
- Communicating services to staff and liaising with internal communications on publicity;
- Finding and supporting volunteers in the life of the Chapel e.g. readers, intercessors, chalice assistants;
- Liaising with the choir director(s) and musicians on music for special services;
- Thinking creatively about different styles of worship in the Chapel, while ensuring a weekly Eucharist;
- Meeting semi-regularly with staff who provide online worship to discuss ideas, join up any themes, and give mutual support;
- Consulting with staff about what they would like in terms of worship in the Chapel; and,
- Praying for staff and being part of the team offering prayer support by email.

- A salary of £7,224.80 per annum (£36,124 FTE), plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.
- 0.2 / 5 days (25 days FTE) annual leave (increasing to 30 days within 5 years) plus eight bank holidays and three additional days (pro-rated if working part-time).

- Lead and develop comprehensive communications strategies to raise WIP’s profile for influencing, fundraising and impact and that align with our vision and mission.
- Build public engagement and awareness, leading on campaign development and delivery
- Oversee the production of Women in Prison’s publications.

- Manage WIP’s Spokesperson network
- Develop, build and contribute to high quality and authentic partnerships and relationships with stakeholders including journalists.
- To be a member of the extended leadership of Women in Prison, modelling feminist leadership, anti-oppression and empowering, values-led, collective leadership for the organisation.

Job Purpose
The Marketing and Campaigns Manager is responsible for the delivery and implementation of the company’s marketing, campaigns and district event activity. - Schedule and manage the annual marketing calendar in line with company objectives.

Person Specification

We’re seeking a dynamic individual who can lead our exciting portfolio of outdoor challenge events and help us take our fundraising to the next level.
The Youth Adventure Trust's outdoor challenge events are a vital source of funding for the charity, and the relationships we build with our participants and corporate partners are more important than ever. This is where you come in.
As our Challenge Events Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our exciting challenge events portfolio.You'll work on bespoke corporate team-building challenges, high-energy industry networking events like the Hike Bike Paddle for the sports and outdoor sector and the Housebuilders Challenge, and our popular open events like the Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge and the Somerset Cycle.
Challenge events not only enable people to raise amazing sums for the charity, but are also a fantastic way to engage supporters with our work, giving them the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, embrace the outdoors and achieve things they never thought possible - similar to our work with the young people on our programmes.
The Challenge Events Manager role is a varied position which would be perfect for somebody who has event management experience. You will be responsible for the full event cycle, from the initial planning, participant recruitment and stewardship to on the day event delivery and post event follow ups. You will be somebody who can spot opportunities, take on a project and run with it. You’ll be an excellent communicator, happy to pick up the phone to chat to event participants, deliver pre-event webinars or create engaging participant emails. You’re self-motivated, well organised, able to multi-task, a strong administrator, a fantastic team player, have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy being outdoors. You should also have some fundraising experience, ideally in a paid capacity but in a voluntary capacity would also be considered.
You'll work closely with the Corporate Partnership Manager, who is highly experienced in delivering our challenge events, but needs time to develop new corporate partnerships which is why we have created this new role. You'll also line-manage our Events Fundraising Officer who plays a key support role on the events. You must live in or near the South West as there will be a semi-regular requirement to attend in person staff meetings, visit programmes and join event planning sessions.
About You
You’re a people-person, self-motivated and highly organised. You are as comfortable managing a budget and a CRM database as you are standing on a mountain side in your waterproofs! You’ll have:
