We have an exciting opportunity to join MASH’s staff team. We are looking for a Homeless Outreach Worker to join the team at MASH and provide support to women in Manchester. This role is part time at 21 hours per week and will include two night-time outreach shifts per week driving the MASH van.

We believe in choice and empowerment, focusing on the material impact and reality of women’s lives, and how we can work with women to create the change that works for them. We hold a strong belief in women’s assets, talents, skills and abilities. Through our services we partner with women as they access and navigate services to aid recovery and realise their goals.

MASH is the only organisation in Greater Manchester which exists specifically to support women who sex work. Through our range of services we build trusted relationships with women to keep them safer, healthier and more equipped to take control of their lives.

Purpose of the role

To work with other members of the MASH team to achieve the following outcomes for women who sex work:

• To improve women’s health
• To improve women’s well being
• To support women to make informed choices
• To increase women’s safety
• To influence policy and practice changes in other agencies working with our client group

Using a gender and trauma-informed approach, the Homeless Outreach Worker will deliver two sessions of street outreach each week. This will involve driving and taking the MASH mobile vehicle into areas of Manchester where women are engaged in sex work on the street. The role involves delivering a harm reduction approach to offer a quality service to women to improve health, housing and safety outcomes. This will be delivered with a respectful and non-judgemental approach assisting women to reduce harmful behaviours and improving access to a range of services to improve their outcomes.

The Individual Giving & Community Fundraising Manager will have an exciting opportunity to grow World Child Cancer’s individual giving. They will also lead on creating a donor experience that will ensure people can engage with us in lots of different ways, from a lottery or regular support, legacies, community fundraising and events (including the London Marathon).

The post holder will be responsible for:

• Managing and growing individual giving.

Job Purpose

Your role is an integral part of the central team with responsibility for procedures, systems that support the effective, efficient, and compliant managing of our premises, IT systems and some HR functions.

You will play a key role in delivering and maintaining our offices and facilities, and the IT services for the whole organisation alongside our retained IT consultants.

By providing high quality operational and administrative support you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organisation. You will do this by:

• Supporting the Director of Finance and Operations in delivering and maintaining effective operational function at the charity. Including but not exclusively, Health & Safety, Insurance, Premises, Facilities, Vehicle Management, IT and CRM system services.

Following a sustained period of professionalisation, including the introduction of improved financial and reporting systems, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Lead to manage the day-to-day running of the organisation. This is a key role which requires a confident all-rounder who will ensure efficient operations while working closely with the Director to support strategic growth.

You will bring practical financial expertise and enjoy working with systems and spreadsheets. Comfortable collaborating across all levels—from bookkeeper and accountant to the Board of Trustees—you will lead finance, governance, HR, compliance, and organisational planning. Your work will ensure operations align with and support Outset’s mission and values.

You will oversee the financial management and timely payment of grants awarded to leading international public arts organisations. This includes monitoring grantee progress and ensuring funds are disbursed on milestone completion. The position also offers regular invitations to a wide range of art events across London, providing opportunities to engage with the contemporary arts scene and build relationships with key cultural stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial administration, including bookkeeping, grant payments, cash flow, bank accounts (UK & USA), foreign exchange, and gift aid claims.
• Develop and monitor budgets with Director and Treasurer.
• Work with external bookkeeper and accountant on accounts and grant reporting.
• Maintain donor CRM, manage contracts, invoicing, and coordinate donor communications.
• Support donor cultivation, VIP access, and prepare briefings for Director and Trustees.
• Coordinate HR tasks such as recruitment, payroll, and expenses.
• Manage subscriptions for IT systems, business rates, rent, and insurance payments.
• Organise logistics for London-based artist residency award.
• Coordinate Board meetings, Trustee recruitment, and maintain legal and compliance documentation.
• Manage the American Friends of Outset 501(c) organisation, including scheduling and running Board meetings, overseeing finance and compliance processes, and holding relationships with key stakeholders.
• Support communications, organisational announcements, and strategic development with the Director.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Experience in an operations or management role, preferably in a charity context.
• Strong organisational, financial, and project management skills.
• Knowledge of UK charity governance and compliance requirements.
• Confidence with financial systems, budgets, and reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
• A collaborative, flexible, and problem-solving mind-set.

Desirable:

• Professional qualifications are desirable but not required.
• Experience liaising with international donors.
• Experience working with a small team or start-up environment.
• Familiarity with or experience of a fundraising context.
• Interest in and passion for the arts.

We are looking for a Development Officer to support Portsmouth Cathedral’s fundraising and development activities. This new role, which is grant funded by the Cathedrals Sustainability Fund for 24 months, will work closely with the Head of Development & Fundraising to grow income, improve communication with donors, and help deliver key projects that support the Cathedral’s mission. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and make a real difference to the future of Portsmouth Cathedral. 

The role is mostly office based with the team in Cathedral House, Old Portsmouth but allows for flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Building Relationships with Donors: Draft thank-you letters, updates, and newsletters. Organize events to engage donors and welcome new supporters. Maintain confidentiality.
• Trusts and Foundation Applications: Research and apply for funding. Track deadlines and submit applications on time. Record outcomes and provide reports.
• Project Support: Assist with key projects like the National Lottery Heritage Fund project. Ensure smooth project execution and maximize funding opportunities.
• Improving Fundraising Operations: Maintain accurate records using the CRM system. Organize fundraising events and meetings.
• General Administration: Prepare materials, arrange meetings, and coordinate activities for fundraising campaigns. Contribute ideas to improve fundraising and communication.

The successful candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, initiative, IT proficiency, confidentiality, teamwork, empathy with Christian values.  Ideally they will have fundraising or grant application experience, knowledge of charity practices and interest in heritage, arts, or education charities.  They will be self-motivated and collaborative and committed to safeguarding practice, equal opportunities and inclusivity.

We have one permanent Funding Officer position in the Yorkshire and the Humber regional team.

Join us as a Funding Officer and you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to communities across the region. Working as part of the Yorkshire and the Humber team as part of a team of 20 colleagues you will combine hybrid working - either from home, our Leeds office adjacent to Leeds station, or project visits, to understand how and where amazing people and organisations are transforming neighbourhoods.

If you have previous experience for a funder, then that is great but it’s not a necessity.

• You will need to be confident with comprehension and writing because you will be working with those applying for grants to advise and support them as necessary to develop proposals including project budgets.
   
• You’ll work with your colleagues to assess and recommend projects for funding. Some days you’ll be attending funders fairs, in person or online, whilst on others you may be meeting with Councils or other funders to share information about need and funding in a particular neighbourhood.
   
• You’ll also have responsibility for overseeing a portfolio of projects to ensure they are on track. If you have experience of the voluntary sector that would be ideal, particularly in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
   
• Confident in writing, comprehension and with an understanding of budgets you will be passionate about supporting communities to build on their strengths to improve lives.

The role will involve the preparation and / or the examination of accounts which will be prepared in one of two formats – receipts and payments or accruals. The role holder will be able to work on their own initiative but also be an effective team player.
