The Diocesan Safeguarding Team supports parishes and senior clergy to safeguard children and adults who may be at risk of abuse and neglect, and those in abusive relationships.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
Training
- In conjunction with the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser, facilitate a safeguarding learning and development programme for the diocese aligned with the national church Learning and Development Framework, Church Safeguarding Standards, reflecting the specific safeguarding responsibilities of those in role.
- To administer all lay and clergy safeguarding training run by the Diocese in line with above, in approximately 80 sessions a year. This includes: producing a deadlines document; administers the sessions on Zoom / Teams, posting courses on Eventbrite and operating as content manager for publicity on the Diocesan website.
- To administer bookings for training courses; copy course materials and respond to emails and queries on training matters, ensure compliance of work submission required before and after courses.
- Log entry of all course participants onto a database to ensure each person has a personal safeguarding training record, and each parish has a safeguarding training profile.
General Administrative
- Work with IT and Information and Data Manager position to produce reports for the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser on safeguarding training issues and trends, and annual statistics represented in charts and graphs for inclusion in the annual safeguarding review.
- Produce quarterly reports on training compliance for Archdeacons and the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel meetings.
- Helping to organise and minute meetings when the safeguarding administrator is not available/on leave.
- Support the safeguarding team with other tasks and projects as identified by the Safeguarding Administrator or Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser.

• Market UKIM Relief’s projects and products to new and existing partners whilst maintaining partner loyalty through special partner services.
• Work efficiently towards the continuous enlargement of UKIM Relief’s partner database.
• Assist in coordinating in Partner Services to ensure data integrity, quality control, and database requirements.
• Ensure that all partner information and reports are of the highest quality and are submitted (if required) in a timely fashion.

• Develop and sustain the mutual understanding between UKIM Relief’s and the public.
• To complement the work of the Communications team in producing different types of media to project the work of UKIM Relief to long-terms partners.
• Ensure duties are performed in line with the Data Protection Act, Confidentiality Regulations, Government legislation and UKIM Relief Policies.
• Ensure information flow is managed and easily accessible to allow the team to provide all partners with any personal information requested.
• Ensure the processing of daily mail, data entry and major partner gift acknowledgements are done efficiently.
• Comply with all policies, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements.
• Hold a valid passport and be willing and able to travel extensively, at short notice and under conditions of physical hardship.

Person Specification:
• Experience of major partner fundraising.
• Strong knowledge of, and successful track record in, delivering significant new income through personal approaches to major partner prospects.
• Proven track record of personally soliciting high value gifts from major partners and of developing long-term relationships.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently with senior colleagues, stakeholders and partners
• Excellent networking, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• IT literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office and database systems.
• Experience of arranging events and of stewarding high-profile meetings with senior colleagues, stakeholders and partners.
• Understanding and familiarity of Data Protection, Health and Safety and Gift Aid.
• Educated to degree level or possess a relevant qualification or appropriate experience in a directly related post.
• A good understanding of brand management, marketing and PR.

You are educated to degree level in a relevant field and IOSH or NEBOSH qualified. You have experience of buildings and health and safety management, managing facilities and contracts, and people management. You are highly customer focused with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to negotiate, make decisions and work collaboratively is essential. Knowledge of project management principles and experience of providing hospitality services would be a distinct advantage.

- Pack and post orders that require sending from the office.
- Process donations received by all forms, including web donations.
- Allocate payments received by BACS, cheque, or credit card.
- Conduct sales ledger reconciliations.

- Assist in credit control.
- Manage office stock levels.
- Assist in processing of renewals and subscription releases.
- Order office and event stock.
- Circulate advance copies.
- Assist finance team with statements to account.
- Administrative support to the Operations team as required.
