Purpose of the job:

This key role in our fundraising team will be integral in helping the team meet our ambitious targets. Working predominantly on Trusts and Foundations applications, leading the development and submission of high-quality proposals, with opportunities to work across additional income streams. The postholder will be responsible for securing grants, developing relationships, providing excellent stewardship to funders, and working collaboratively with colleagues.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identify and maximise opportunities to raise funds – focusing on charitable trusts and foundations.

• Research and maintain a pipeline of prospects.

• Contribute to the achievement of ambitious team income targets.

• Create compelling, accurate and bespoke funding proposals, to a high quality and submitted on time.

• Build effective relationships with existing and potential funders to secure long-term funding and support for Kinship’s work.

Essential requirements include:

• Experience of successfully securing five figure grants from charitable trusts, foundations, and/or major donors.

• Excellent writing and presentation skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex information.

• Excellent attention to detail and methodical approach.

• Experience of developing and maintaining internal and external relationships.

- Developing a holistic plan of support, and directly delivering aspects of it.

- Liaising with hospitals, social workers, volunteers, family members, carers and other voluntary sector organisations and services.

- Administration related to the delivery of the service.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Reprieve team as our Head of Digital and Mass Engagement covering parental leave.  The role has two distinct areas of responsibility:

Roles and responsibilities:

Office Administration and logistical support (70%)

· Proactively ensure that the office functions well and efficiently, maintaining office equipment and stocks of office supplies within budget.

· Act as the primary contact for visitors and phone inquiries. Manage the general inquiries email inbox and other shared email accounts.

· Be the main point of contact for office maintenance, security, and building management. Communicate with the landlord to promptly and efficiently address any related issues.

· Ensure office procedures are kept up-to-date and communicated to staff.

· Coordinate the preparation and production of business cards and ID cards for staff

· Develop and uphold Saferworld (UK)’s list of trusted suppliers, regularly reviewing and adjusting as necessary in alignment with Saferworld’s procurement policy.

· Add, update and maintain the UK Asset online asset register

· Identify opportunities to improve administrative systems and processes and proactively collaborate to redesign them.

· Collaborate closely with the Global People and Operations teams and ICT to assist in the onboarding and offboarding processes for new staff in our London office.

· Plan staff events, including annual summer and winter socials.

· Assist with renewing global insurance policies and provide administrative support for handling claims, including coordinating with staff and the insurance claims team as necessary.

· Coordinate with the IT team to set up new employees, ensuring the provision of company IT equipment aligns with internal policies.

· Provide administrative support to staff when visiting the UK, including providing visa support letters and making travel bookings in the UK for visiting staff and partners.

· Provide support with the organisational Travel Management Company (TMC), including setting up staff profiles and offering booking guidance.

· Monitor staff travel plans for ICT equipment movement.

· Manage Saferworld's organisational contacts database, including contact import, tagging, and deduplication, in compliance with UK GDPR legislation.

· Maintain an organised and effective filing structure within the internal SharePoint sites where relevant

Management team administrative support (30%)

· Provide administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer when required.

· Assist in preparing and coordinating management team, UK and Saferworld Europe Board meetings, and other committee and leadership meetings. This includes handling documentation, logistical arrangements, ICT setup for remote participation, and supporting travel bookings and expense claims.

· Manage the global Saferworld calendar, ensuring everyone is informed of events and meetings as necessary.

· Undertake miscellaneous tasks as requested by the CEO, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to support organisational needs effectively.

Who we are:

The Dalit Solidarity Network is a small human rights organisation working to eliminate caste-based discrimination in the UK and South Asia. Registering as an official charity in 2003, Dalit Solidarity Network UK continues to grow as an effective campaigning and advocacy organisation, working on the issue of caste discrimination in the UK and being an active player in the global movement.  Our major areas of work include documenting 'everyday casteism', building capacity of businesses to address caste-discrimination in overseas supply chains and UK operations and working with UK Higher Education Institutions to protect against caste-discrimination.

About the role:

We are seeking a part-time Office Administrator for 2 days/week, initially for one year with a possibility of renewal. The hours can be worked flexibly with prior agreement of the Director. Hybrid-working arrangements (from home and on site) will be considered.  

Main responsibilities:

Administration:

· Responsible for day-to-day administration and office management and providing secretarial assistance to the Director & diary management.

· Maintenance of files and records both physical and computerised system filing and computerised database systems and email lists.

· General office management including scheduling meetings, arranging travel, managing expenses, liaising for office management, ordering office supplies, etc.

· Organise and take minutes for key meetings – including quarterly Board meetings and AGM.

· Undertake such duties and responsibilities appropriate to the role as the Director may request.

Communication and Outreach:

· Maintain and update DSN-UK website and social media,  coordinate internal and external information-sharing and communication with stakeholders and network partners.

Finance and Accounts:

· Responsible for maintaining records of all financial transactions and reconciliation of all bank statements.

· Assist in the preparation of budgets for donor proposals to ensure all relevant costs are included and that the budget is accurate and comprehensive.

• Experience of working in an office providing admin support, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Good digital communications skills - including writing emails, newsletters, and drafting web copy, demonstrating good written and oral communications skills in English

Job Purpose

Money Minded is a new service designed to support adults (18 years and over) in Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Hounslow. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with the West London NHS Mental Health Teams, operating within the tri-borough area.

The service provides support with welfare benefits, accessing debt support, housing and well-being. The role of the Mental Health Information and Advice Officer will be to provide advice, guidance and customer representation to tri-borough residents living with Mental Health difficulties. Advice issues may include housing, welfare benefits, council tax, accessing debt support, signposting etc.

The successful candidate will deliver support to enquirers and manage a caseload of individuals, as agreed with the Service Manager. In addition to advice casework, the Mental Health Information and Advice Officer will also be expected to assist onboarding referrals to the service, as and when needed.

The successful candidate will work closely with the West London NHS Mental Health teams and project volunteers, ensuring adherence to the Advice Quality Standard framework (AQS) and Mind's policies and procedures.

Due to the nature of the work, if successful, you will need to have an up-to-date DBS check completed, prior to undertaking unsupervised client work.

Place of Work

The Mental Health Information and Advice Officer will be required to work within the West London NHS Mental Health team offices.
