Job Description

Key responsibilities:

· Maintain supplier records including validating and updating bank details, contact information, and remittance addresses.

· Monitor the Finance Department mailbox and in-tray, responding and redirecting queries as appropriate.

· Process financial transactions including supplier invoices and staff/credit card expense claims in accordance with agreed processes and deadlines.

· Support preparation and batching of weekly and ad-hoc payment runs, ensuring proper documentation is attached and ready for approval.

· Complete bank reconciliations and assist in routine reconciliations of supplier accounts, and other control accounts under the guidance of the Senior Finance Assistant.

· Maintain accurate and organised filing (electronic and paper) for all processed work.

· Assist with audit and reporting tasks by retrieving and preparing documentation as required.

· Provide cover and support across other transactional processes during peak times or absences

Working Environment:  

The post holder should expect to:

· Work in a hybrid hot desk environment, generally working 2 days a week in the London office and three from home.

· Be responsible for the input and maintenance of databases and files relevant to the post requirements.

· Will occasionally be required to attend events in the evening and at weekends.

Summary

The Charity Spark is looking to appoint a Strategic Fundraising Consultant to expand our fundraising support for clients across the UK. This pivotal role will be a strategic fundraising lead, working with a diverse portfolio of clients to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies. You will advise on a range of income generation methods, including trust and foundation grants, legacy giving, major donor philanthropy, and corporate partnerships.

A key part of your role will be to provide strategic development, helping clients diversify their income streams and build sustainable fundraising programmes. Important Details. What you’ll get:

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 FTE (3 days per week is £24,000-27,000 per year)

What you’ll be doing:

1. Fundraising

1. • Develop and Lead Fundraising Strategies: Create bespoke, multi-stream fundraising strategies for a range of clients. This includes capital appeals and other large-scale projects, helping clients raise significant funds for transformative goals.
   • Income Diversification: Advise clients on how to diversify their fundraising portfolio, reducing reliance on any single income source and building resilience.
   • Trust and Foundation Fundraising: While the role is broader, you will still oversee and deliver trust fundraising work, including researching funders, writing bids and proposals, and supporting clients to steward donors effectively. You will also mentor and upskill clients and their teams on best practices.
   • Support the Director with developing strategic resources for fundraising including digital courses, blogs and downloadable resources for charities.
   • Client Management and Support: Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, providing expert advice, hands-on support, and strategic guidance throughout their fundraising journey.

2. Business Development

· Deal with client enquiries in an efficient and timely manner.

· Support the Director with onboarding new clients.

About you:

• Experienced Fundraising Leader: You have a proven track record of success with five or more years of experience in fundraising. You demonstrate the ability to develop and execute effective, multi-stream strategies. You can tell us about fundraising successes you have been an important part of.
• Strategic Thinker: You are adept at seeing the bigger picture, identifying growth opportunities, and creating long-term plans for organisations. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and a creative growth mindset.

Youth Development Outreach Worker

Oasis Community Hub Hadley encompasses a variety of integrated and diverse community projects which together have a common aim to bring transformation to the whole person and the whole community. 

Oasis Community Hub Hadley is looking to recruit a Youth Development Outreach Worker to join the Oasis Youth Support project at North Middlesex University Hospital. This project offers support to young people who have attended the Emergency Department due to violence in order to promote positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Offering intensive 1:1 support to the young people referred to the project by hospital staff following an attendance at ED due to violence or aggression. Support for the young person can include liaising with parents/carers, safeguarding services and other agencies/networks with the purpose of increasing positive outcomes.

· Being a physical presence in the department, working with key staff within NMUH to ensure all young people who come into ED as a result of a violence or aggression are able to access support where required.

· Planning and delivering sessions focusing around specific areas of violence reduction for young people and professionals.

You could be successful in this role if you: 

· Have a relevant experience working with young people using a Youth Work approach and seen a positive impact from that work

· Are committed and passionate about working with young people who have experienced violence using a young person centred, trauma informed approach.

· Possess excellent oral/written communication and organisational skills.

· Are self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and work to deadlines.

Support planning, implementation, and evaluation of MMHA campaign and policy work to improve perinatal mental health care systems, policy and practice in the UK.
