Based in Surrey, the Orpheus Centre is an independent specialist college and charity that focuses on developing independence skills through performing and visual arts and makes dramatic improvements to young disabled adults’ lives.  We are currently looking for a driven and pro-active Events Fundraiser to develop, coordinate and deliver the charity’s fundraising events and orchestrate experiences from initial concept to post event analysis. This includes pre-event planning and development, concept development and proposal.

Working closely with the Head of Capital Appeal and Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager, you will design and deliver events which steward and develop key contacts as part of our Capital Appeal.

The role holder will have strong administration skills, attention to detail and work as part of a team.  You will be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, managing a wide range of tasks.

35 hours per week / 52 weeks per year

Salary: £28,000 - 32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Essential qualifications, knowledge and experience:

We are seeking to appoint a full-time Events and Marketing Assistant to provide support for a range of events and marketing-related activities. The Role

The person appointed will report to the Director of Marketing and Communications and work as part of a small team of staff responsible for events and marketing. The person will be involved in all aspects of the marketing and events team’s work including:

Job summary

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a Society of over 1,700 members from 100 countries, who work in, or are interested in tropical medicine and global health.

RSTMH organises and participates in events as a crucial way of showcasing, discussing, and debating key areas of tropical medicine and global health research and practice. Our range of events are wide. We deliver conferences and webinars, social events, research meetings for early career professionals, and high-profile debates and discussions. They happen across the UK and around the world, both online and in person. Our events add to the impact of our work in tropical medicine and global health, but also raise funds to allow us to continue our work as a charity.

The Meetings and Events Manager would lead on the delivery of the RSTMH meeting and events strategy. The role requires a self-starter who is excited by the prospect of working on such a broad range of meetings and events. The candidate needs to have excellent communication and relationship building skills, and to be organised, flexible with a great attention to detail. They should be comfortable liaising with venues for meetings space, developing budgets for events, managing logistical aspects of the events programme and setting up new events online and in person.

The role

The Digital Media Officer role provides support to Crimestoppers and Crimestoppers’ youth service Fearless, in creating impactful content and campaigns that empower people to speak up about crime.

You will be responsible for filming, creating, and scheduling organic and paid social media content, and as the face of Fearless’ social media platforms, feature in the content yourself. You will play a key role in shaping and driving forward Fearless’ communications strategy to ensure Fearless’ social media platforms remain relevant, engaging and supportive of Crimestoppers overall aims.

You will contribute to the development of Crimestoppers and Fearless national and regional campaign ideas, content and messaging and manage the execution and reporting of multi-channel communication activities. You will use data from campaigns, as well as insights from focus groups, to inform future projects.

Our Volunteer Experience Team supports all administration activities relating to volunteering good practice throughout the SSAFA volunteer journey, with a specific focus on recruitment and retention of volunteers. 

You will regularly communicate and engage with a range of stakeholders across the organisation to enable a smooth-flowing volunteer recruitment process and ongoing support to volunteer teams, contributing to the creation of a positive volunteering experience.  You will support both potential and existing volunteers, our volunteer managers and volunteer teams, through the provision of high standards of customer service and a person-centred approach. 

This role will routinely involve maintaining our volunteer database systems and volunteer records, administering our vetting processes, and engaging with volunteers and teams to provide advice and support (through email, phone call and MS teams meetings).

This is an exciting time at SSAFA as we continue to evolve our service delivery models to reach more beneficiaries with impact.  This includes the introduction of our new Volunteer Management System (Go Assemble) and development of processes and good practise to enhance and improve the SSAFA volunteer experience.

About you

This role is a great first step into the world of volunteer support services and is built on providing first class customer service with a person-centred approach to supporting our volunteers and teams across the organisation.  Experience in providing administrative services and following processes with an eye for detail are key to undertaking this role, along with the ability manage and prioritise workload effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills are at the core of this role along with good communication skills, comfortable communicating by email, phone and face-to-face via MS teams.  On top of this you will need to demonstrate an ability to use IT software systems such as Microsoft Office and database systems to ensure information is processed in an accurate and timely way across SSAFA’s systems.

Woman’s Trust was established almost thirty years ago and is the leading specialist in mental health services for women. About the role

As our Temporary Finance Manager, you will be managing a finance assistant and will be part of our organisation’s Senior Leadership Team, helping to collaboratively shape and steer the charity as we work towards our 2022-2027 strategy. The Finance Manager is at the heart of Woman’s Trust; you will play an essential role and have oversight of not just the finance team - you will have direct exposure to CEO/Board Members and decision-making for the future of the organisation. 

We are looking for a highly motived Temporary Finance Manager with demonstrable experience working in a similar senior level role. You’ll be a fully or part qualified accountant e.g. CIMA/ACA/ACCA/Cipfa, with a thorough understanding of charity accounting.

Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week.

As Senior Volunteer Co-ordinator, you’ll play a central role in growing and supporting our network of local support groups. You’ll recruit, onboard and induct volunteer co-facilitators, ensuring a welcoming, inclusive experience.
