Our IT department is responsible for providing IT business support and services that align with our organisational needs.

We now have a permanent opportunity for a Senior Cloud Administrator to provide 3rd level project and helpdesk support, acting as an escalation point for the support team. This opportunity is integral to providing consistent IT support across all three of our centres.

In this role you will ensure our internal physical and virtual server and network is maintained for 7 day a week operation. Your focus will be on infrastructure, and you will work across all six of our business applications. This offers you diversity in your work and the opportunity to work on technically complex challenges.

Joining a team of 10, you will be collectively supporting a user basis of around 700. The support requests will invite you to use your entire skill set and provide opportunities for continued development.

About the Youth Endowment Fund  

 We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.   

In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.   

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by funding great initiatives, finding what works and working for change – scaling up and spreading the practices that make a difference.    

Our Change team does this by building excellent relationships and sharing evidence of what works with organisations and key individuals across the public, private, third sectors and local communities. We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, proactive and highly organised Change and Events Officer to join our Change team to help us fulfil our mission.    

 Key responsibilities  

Most fundamentally, your job is to work as a member of our Change team to make sure we’re excellent at running events and managing relationships with key stakeholders. You’ll make sure the team is incredibly organised and has the support it needs to work effectively. Key responsibilities:  

• Event Organising. Help to organise events, from small roundtables to large in person conferences. You will help make sure events run brilliantly, from booking venues to managing invites and organising materials.   

• External Relationship Management Support. Provide support to the team in managing external relationships by scheduling meetings, organising workshops and developing materials.   

• Meeting Effectiveness. Make sure certain meetings are effective. You’ll do this by organising the meetings, taking great minutes, making sure we keep track of things we said we would do and saving the documents in the right place.   

• Project Support. Help ensure projects within the Change teams are done brilliantly. This may involve administrative tasks, tracking deadlines or leading projects as needed.   

• Query Management. Monitor and respond to general queries by managing the team inbox.   

• Salesforce Reporting and Stakeholder Communication. Lead on coordinating Salesforce reporting and effective communication outreach for key stakeholder groups.  

• Stakeholder Engagement and Change Activities. Develop and support stakeholder engagement and Change activities, including monitoring and compiling feedback from surveys.  

• Team Scorecard Coordination. Lead on co-ordinating the team scorecard, ensuring that the team is on track with targets. 

• Collaboration. Work closely with other roles (including our Operations and Culture team) within YEF to ensure coordinated efforts and sharing of best practices.

Since 2003, we have been harnessing the power of skiing & snowboarding to break down barriers, broaden horizons and address the biggest social issues facing underserved young people today.

The Programme Manager will deliver a personal development journey to young people using snowsports as the hook to engage those who are less likely to engage with mainstream provision. We do this in partnership with youth projects and youth service providers across London, running snowsports youth programmes from The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead.

This is a really exciting opportunity to play a key role in Snow Camp’s development in London. So, if you love working with young people and have solid experience delivering youth programmes, combined with a passion for snowsports – and if you are looking for a challenging and rewarding role working with a committed team of staff at Snow Camp and some amazing young people – this job could be the job for you! 

Experience of working successfully with underserved young people in a range of settings will be essential to the post. Furthermore, experience within a snowsports field and passion for supporting young people generally will be a huge advantage!

Project management, logistical skills, relationship management, communication and presentation skills will all make up the job. Along with youth work experience to deliver life-skills or group workshops to motivate young people to work towards meaningful goals – these will all make up the job.

About First Give

First Give inspires young people to make a difference to the causes they care about. We do this through working in partnership with secondary schools, providing a fully resourced scheme of work that guides an entire year group of students to engage with local charities and causes and then carry out social action (fundraising, raising awareness, campaigning, volunteering etc) in support of them.

At the end of each programme, a celebratory School Final is held at each school, where groups representing each class deliver presentations about their projects. Programme Delivery Officer role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our Programmes Team as a Programme Delivery Officer. PDOs will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the delivery of the First Give programme in up 50 schools, ensuring smooth running of the programme, plus providing guidance and troubleshooting for the lead teachers at First Give partner schools.

The role will be hybrid, with 3 days a week in our main offices in West Hampstead, London. Regular travel to schools across London and the South East will be required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide logistic and programme support to teachers delivering the First Give programme at their school, including but not limited to:

Oldham Poverty Action Network Coordinator

The role

The post holder for this role will be responsible for co-ordinating the work of the Oldham Poverty Action Network and leading on bringing the Network members together, leading on the co-ordination of the key projects and programmes that tackle the root causes of Poverty in Oldham, ensuring that local people, community organisations and institutions can collaborate through the Network to achieve the Network’s shared vision. You will work closely with Oldham Local Motion who is a key funder of the Oldham Poverty Action Network.

The main things you will be asked to do in this role:

· To provide effective coordination of the work of Oldham Poverty Action Network and it’s associated programmes of work.

· To facilitate the Network’s meetings, creating the space for inclusive innovation through workshops and workstream meetings.

· To work alongside Network members to plan and deliver projects and programmes to tackle the root causes of poverty in Oldham.

· To engage stakeholders in the work of the Network and to ensure that the membership of the network is open and inclusive and reflects Oldham’s communities.

· To ensure that the work of Oldham Poverty Action Network is delivered in line with the aims and values set out by the Network and Local Motion and strives for excellence in coproduction and collaborative practice, including continuing to be driven by those with Lived Experience of Poverty.

· To actively connect with people, communities organisations and institutions in order to maximise the reach and impact of the Network.

· To ensure that the Oldham Poverty Action Network resources are spent in accordance with funding  agreements, the budget and that all reporting, due diligence and learning requirements are met.

Citizens Advice Epsom & Ewell is a local charity that provides advice and information for anyone that lives, works or studies in Epsom and Ewell.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with proven ability of managing and supervising a team. You will have recent relevant experience of working in a local Citizens Advice or similar advice organisation, and be able to demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of the issues facing local communities.

This role involves the supervision of advice sessions, providing guidance and assistance to those working in our Epsom office as well as to staff working from home or in outreach locations.

The post is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the day to day service and the implementation of consistent processes to maintain quality standards. In addition you will manage volunteer advice staff and work closely with the Training team to support their training and development.

About the role

Our Individual Giving programme includes cash appeals, regular giving, weekly lottery, retention pieces (including a supporter magazine), and more.

We need your help to deliver insight-led creative campaigns across print media for a mass donor audience, aiming to grow supporter loyalty and inspire repeat donations and repeat actions across our products. You will use data to test and learn, optimising opportunities for our community to support.

You’ll join the small but mighty Individual Giving team, aiming to raise over £1.3 million in 2024/25, with ambition to grow in the future. Together with the Mass Engagement and Fundraising team, we strive to raise money to improve the lives of people with arthritis.

About the Role

Through our range of programmes, we work to inspire and empower young people, whatever their background to succeed in work and life. Role purpose

The purpose of this role is to lead, develop and deliver WorldSkills UK’s external Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) programmes supported by stakeholder engagement strategies across our network of industry, education and government. The role will ensure that we engage external stakeholders to help deliver our ambition to be a leader, partner and ally in creating positive change for ED&I in the skills sector.

Key tasks and responsibilities

1. Deliver positive action activity for change:

• Support the development and delivery of WorldSkills UK’s external ED&I strategy. Ensure it is fit for purpose, has recognised long term goals and will deliver measurable change, reflecting organisational priorities around increased engagement with ethnic minority groups and females. Provide an overarching framework and help further develop strategic KPIs for our ED&I work, ensuring effective use of data, monitoring progress and performance.
• Work with the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager to develop action plans that will drive our continuous improvement:
  • Support our skills competition development programmes to increase the diversity of young people engaged
  • Support the development of role models to showcase the impact of our work and encourage diversity in key areas of industry, including future priority skill areas
  • Support the development of learning resources that aid engagement with underrepresented groups
  • Support teams to ensure ED&I matters are considered and addressed as key components of all strategies, plans and programmes.

2. Manage the ED&I Advisory Group:

• This is a unique opportunity to work with experienced and prominent senior individuals from across education and industry who are invested in driving the agenda for ED&I.
• Lead the administration and ongoing development of our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Advisory Group.
• Engage the Group to help support, advise and challenge WorldSkills UK on its actions to remove obstacles and barriers faced by young people from under-represented backgrounds in our programmes.
• Report regularly to the Group on progress against KPI’s and facilitate reports for the WorldSkills UK Board.

3. Project Manage the ED&I Heroes Awards

• The Awards is an established flagship event which provides a platform for WorldSkills UK to celebrate success with its partners, amplify best practice and inspire others to drive change across the skills systems in education and business.
• Project manage delivery of the annual Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Heroes Awards, supported by relevant internal teams
  • Establish the nominations process
  • Co-ordinate the judging panel
  • Organise the awards ceremony
  • Manage the support of the awards partners.

4. Manage strategic relationships

• Manage a portfolio of ED&I focused Strategic Partnerships with organisations from across the skills sector, facilitating their support and engagement with our EDI programmes.
• Grow our network of partners to widen our reach, help further drive work in this area and collectively impact on the sector.
• Advise and support the development of the CEO’s international activities on ED&I with WorldSkills International (WSI).

5. Raise the profile of WorldSkills UK’s ED&I work:

• Work with teams across the organisation to support our Mission to ignite a national and global movement to help more young people, regardless of their background, get the best possible start in work and life.
• Support the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager and Marketing and Communications Team to showcase the impact of our programmes:
  • Help to externally profile and articulate the value and impact of our activities using the channels and tools available
  • Seek opportunities to advocate for our work through stakeholder engagement and networking
  • Support the Corporate Partnerships team to identify and secure commercial income related to our ED&I initiatives.
  • Work across the organisation to build on existing external relationships and develop new strategic partnerships that reinforce our position as a skills sector leader.

6. Internal ED&I Liaison:

• Whilst not responsible for WorldSkills UK’s internal ED&I activities and agenda it is anticipated that the post holder will spend up to 10% of their time supporting and working with the Corporate Affairs team on internal ED&I matters, with the remaining 90% spent on external work.
• It is not essential that the postholder has extensive experience in this area.

This role is office based (as above) but with flexible hybrid working. It is expected the postholder will attend the office at least once or twice a week.

Full time working hours are a minimum of 35 hours per week, normal working hours are 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday although we pride ourselves on having a flexible approach to our working practices and service delivery and are happy to discuss flexible working options, including part time, with suitable candidates.

The post holder will be flexible and skilled, with an essential interest in and experience of working with migrant and refugee clients, many of whom have additional complex needs. You will work closely with our immigration caseworker manager to provide one-to-one specialist immigration advice and casework to migrant and refugee clients in Brighton & Hove and across East and West Sussex in the areas of immigration & asylum up to OISC L2. We are currently the only free, Level 2-accredited, year-round provider of out-of-scope immigration advice on the South Coast, and increasing local immigration capacity is critical to address growing demand and changing demographics in the region. Our current core caseload is largely non-EEA nationals whose immigration cases are out of scope of legal aid. However we are also seeing and will continue to see new arrivals and emerging needs in the region including Afghans resettled under the ARAP and ACRS schemes, Sudanese evacuees, EEA nationals who still have not registered for pre-settled or settled status, and an increasing number of both newly arrived and established asylum seekers placed in emergency (‘contingency’) and dispersal Home Office accommodation.

The balance of time spent between different client groups and cases will therefore need to be responsive to the changes we see in the city and region. Many of our clients also have complex additional needs including health and homelessness and the post holder will be expected to liaise closely with our generalist caseworkers and external providers to ensure that people’s holistic needs are met.

You will work as part of a small, supportive advice and casework team that also includes two generalist advice caseworkers, an employability caseworker, a groupwork facilitator and four dedicated resettlement caseworkers who are supporting newly resettled refugee families mainly from Syria and Afghanistan.

Regular supervision and support and in-house and on-the-job training will be provided, as well as external training on specific issues where needed. However you will need to be ready to step immediately into a busy advice environment with the necessary confidence, skills and knowledge to begin to deliver advice and casework and pick up an existing caseload.

Ideally you will already be OISC L2-accredited, but if only L1-accredited you must be willing to work towards accreditation within the 6-month probationary period.

Working Well is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health, learning disabilities, neurodiversity, and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are recruiting a full-time Employment Support Worker for our supported employment team in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. This is a permanent role. The post holder will carry a caseload of clients who may have one or more support needs including:

We are looking for a highly motivated person with a passion and energy for politics to join our team and help us develop compelling policy solutions and advocacy campaigns to engage, inspire and influence decision makers in the run-up to the 2024 General Election and beyond to ensure nature’s recovery is kept at the heart of the public and political conversation.

You will play a key role in securing nature’s recovery across the two counties and beyond. Our recent campaign, such as our joint Tipner West Campaign with the RSPB successfully mobilised over 30,000 people to take action to oppose a development on legally protected habitats. We are soon launching an advocacy campaign to get legal protections in local and national policy for all our iconic chalk streams.

This is an exciting time for nature policy locally and nationally and you will be working to shape policy and how it is delivered on the ground, for example working on the Local Nature Recovery Strategies and driving councils to integrate the Strategy into their plans, policies and delivery.
