Key Responsibilities:

New Internationalist is seeking an experienced, proactive, creative, and strategic Marketing Manager to lead our income growth efforts during a critical stage in our organisation’s growth and development. You will be responsible for delivering a bold, data-informed marketing strategy designed to increase UK and international magazine subscriptions in print and digital, launch a new membership product, and drive retention across all income channels.

• Campaign Development & Delivery: Plan and execute marketing and sales campaigns across multiple channels (email, social, web, events) to meet set acquisition and retention targets
• Retention and Customer Experience: Work closely with internal teams to improve retention rates and maximise the impact of customer journey touch points.
• Outreach and profile raising: Identify and target new audiences for both subscriptions and news-stand sales, creating a strategy to convert them to subscribers and regular buyers.
• Product Development: Lead the development and launch of a new membership product including stakeholder consultation, light market research, A/B testing, and pricing refinement.
• Community Engagement: Activate and upsell existing subscribers and supporters through tailored messaging, events, and cross-channel promotions.
• Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with internal teams to gather ideas, content, and assets. Coordinate and project-manage campaign delivery organisation-wide.

• Analysis & Reporting: Monitor and report on campaign performance, acquisition costs, and ROI to inform real-time adjustments and strategic planning.

The Marketing Manager will become a member of the NI Co-operative and will be appointed as a Director of New Internationalist Publications Ltd (NIP - the company that runs NI’s day-to-day business in a co-operative fashion), following a period of probation of 6 months.

All co-operative members are directly responsible to the NI co-operative and play an integral part in its business. They report to their teams on general work matters.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Your responsibilities will include:

• Experience in a HR Business Partner or senior HR advisor role within a large complex organisation

• Previous experience of managing complex Employee relations issues, change management, and restructuring
• Experience of supervising staff
• Educated to masters level in HR Management or equivalent level of experience of working in an HR role
• A CIPD qualification to Associate level or above

Advice Service Delivery Manager

The newly created Advice & Support Team plays a key role in delivering Battersea’s increased strategic focus on early intervention in the pet ownership journey. By offering well-timed expert and empathetic support and advice before owners reach crisis point, the team aims to prevent avoidable animal welfare issues and reduce the number of pets relinquished for preventable reasons.

A key service in this area is the Behaviour Advice Line (BAL), currently delivered by our Animal Behaviour Team. This new role exists to lead the development of a clear, evidence-based service model and plan to transform the line into a cost-effective multi-channel service that delivers measurably improved impact for owners and their pets.

The role is for one year with the outcome to develop a detailed service model and associated change plan and budget, that is evidence based, co-designed and in alignment with the future Advice and Support strategy and Operations structure. Iterative changes should be identified for service improvement within the year and a business case for investment produced by the end of July 2026.

This full-time (35 hours/week) hybrid role requires three days per week onsite in Battersea, moving to South Kensington from September. Some early evening and occasional weekend work may be required. Supporting the Advancement and Alumni Relations Team, you will assist with event logistics, invitation lists, RSVPs, data entry (Raiser’s Edge), and general administrative tasks. The role 

This is a great time to join GamCare as we are growing the reach of our services. We are looking for Gambling Support Practitioners with qualifications or experience in health or social care, and an empathic style to enable people to change their behaviour through skilled intervention.

Crucially, you will ensure that psychosocial and recovery support interventions are delivered as part of a cohesive recovery plan while working collaboratively with external and partner organisations to achieve positive outcomes for service users. 

There will be lots of opportunities to participate in service promotion, networking activities and events to support the visibility of the service, as well as developing relationships with local services and communities to strengthen pathways into the service. 

We are looking for an individual to work full time, which will include 3 days working 9-5pm and 2 days 12-8pm per week (fixed), Monday to Friday. However, due to the possible requirements of the service, occasional Saturdays (9-2pm remotely) may be required. Another day off would be agreed on during the week.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing face to face and online advice, assessments, and brief and structured interventions to help clients achieve their recovery goals, using motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioural approaches
• Providing safe and effective support to individuals whilst managing safeguarding issues in line with safeguarding procedures and policies 
• Maintaining collaborative working relationships with external agencies, professionals and groups to facilitate multi-agency approaches and holistic support
• Developing and maintaining relationships with local services and communities to support the identification of gambling harms and pathways into the service
• Participating in service promotion, networking activities and events to support visibility and ongoing development of the service, proactively responding to the needs identified within the region

About you

You should have significant experience in individual client work in the field of addictions, mental health or a social care setting with adults or young people. You should be flexible in using a range of low and high-intensity interventions and modalities including cognitive behavioural tools.

You will need to live at a reasonable distance from GamCare London office due to expectations of working from the office when required, as well as being able to travel to other locations across Greater London to deliver services or attend community events.
