Role Summary
An exciting opportunity has become available for a talented and enthusiastic Trusts and Statutory Fundraiser to join a high performing and friendly fundraising team.
As a key member of the Trusts and Grants Team, the Trusts and Statutory Fundraiser will work closely with the Head of Trusts and Grants to raise funds from a portfolio of charitable trusts in accordance with Child Bereavement UK’s budgets and targets.
We are looking for someone with proven experience of generating income from trusts and foundations.
You will have:

About the role

Position: Programme Officer

Purpose
The Programme Officer will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation of project delivery activities across our portfolio, predominantly in Africa, Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East. The post holder will support project delivery, ensuring quality expectations (internal and client), delivering within the scope and budgeted resources of projects, and in line with project timelines. They will work closely with other members of the programme delivery team, our technical team, delivery partners, and consultants to ensure projects maximise their positive impact and will also support the Senior Programme Manager to disseminate good management practice across the organisation, and advise on delivery approaches.
Main Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Programme Officer include the following:
1. Project Support
- Provide support to Programme Managers in the delivery of projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope and comply with client contracts
- Take on the project management of assigned select projects within a determined budget/complexity threshold, ensuring that they are delivered to time and quality
- Set-up and monitor project workplans, including change requests ensuring that approvals are formally recorded and filed
- Manage day-to-day relationships with delivery partners and internal team(s) and build a solid understanding of delivery needs and timelines across projects
- Monitor and support timely client and consultant billing and invoices attached to delivery
- Support onboarding of consultants for new projects, including due diligence checks and contract preparation based on set templates
- Ensure project management software and tools are accurate and kept up to date for allocated projects
- Provide timely responses to client queries and alert the Senior Project Manager of any potential risks
- Lead duty of care and travel planning for staff and consultants, working alongside administrative officers
- Liaise closely with technical colleagues and Project Managers on project support needs.
2. Project Financial Management
- Monitor project budget performance, capturing variances and liaising with the Finance Team and Senior Programme Manager
- Monitor and support the processing of consultants’ expenses/fees against contracts and client invoices against contracts.
- Make recommendations to ensure financial outcomes are met with respect to time, quality and cost, and provide early warning of project overspend
- Prepare internal project update reporting including finances and resourcing using required management tools.
3. Organisational Support and Business Development
- Provide support in strengthening policies, procedures, and management tools for Development Pathways
- Coordinate with wider project teams to ensure technical capacity is well planned across Development Pathways’ portfolio of projects
- Signpost colleagues to relevant project management tools and processes, when required
- Support project closure processes as required, capturing and sharing lessons internally
- Provide ad hoc input to evolving organisational requirements as directed by senior members
- Assist with the identification and monitoring of business opportunities in donor markets, as requested
- Update SharePoint and ensure project data sheets are developed and up to date to facilitate bids for tenders
- Collate and share project information to support the Business Development and Communications department.

Job summary
The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a charity that supports members who work in, or are interested in, tropical medicine and global health.
In September 2028 it is hosting the International Congress for Tropical Medicine and Malaria (ICTMM) on behalf of the International Federation for Tropical Medicine (IFTM), in Liverpool, UK.
ICTMM 2028 expects to receive over 1,500 attendees, hopefully with over 40% coming from outside of Europe. It is an educational meeting with a high proportion of the content driven by abstracts. The event is being delivered by RSTMH with the support of a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO).
The ICTMM Events Manager has responsibility for coordinating the development and delivery of ICTMM 2028 at RSTMH, working with the RSTMH team, the PCO, the event venue ACC Liverpool, IFTM, and other suppliers. The individual would be based at RSTMH where the role would start on a part-time basis and move to be full-time 17 months before the event.
The role requires an able self-starter who understand the logistics and considerations of running a scientific, abstract-driven event of 1,500+ attendees, of working with a PCO and of educational events attended by a high number of international guests. There will be some travel to Liverpool and the role would require some overnight stays there before and during the event.
The candidate needs to have excellent event management and project management skills, communication and relationship building skills, and to be organised and flexible with a great attention to detail. They should be as comfortable developing an events strategy, as answering queries about tickets sales, and negotiating sponsorship. Alongside delivering the ICTMM meeting there are opportunities for partners to deliver events at the same venue, which are also the responsibility of the events manager.
The role will start as one day per week and then move to be full time as we approach the event. The current expected timings are
- Up until 31 March 2026 – 7 hours/1 day per week
- 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027 – 21 hours/3 days per week
- 1 April 2027 to 30 September 2028 – 35 hours/ 5 days per week
Up to 1 April 2027 the role is purely office based, and there is flexibility to work the hours between Tuesday and Friday (not Mondays). The role has core hours of 10am-4pm so the working day needs to be within these hours.
The role may require work in the evenings or weekends and potential time staying in Liverpool.
Main responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive project plan for all aspects of ICTMM 2028, working with the PCO, and be responsible for ensuring all stakeholders meet deadlines leading up to the event
- Coordinate stakeholders working on ICTMM 2028, ensuring all are up to date with progress and relations run smoothly – including RSTMH, PCO, conference venue, IFTM, ICTMM Strategic, Sponsorship and Scientific Committees and other third parties
- Work with RSTMH CEO to recruit Committee Chairs and members, develop a long list of partners and sponsors for funding and support, and develop legal agreements for these
- Develop and disseminate accurate and timely content about ICTMM through a dedicated website, a dedicated newsletter and other marketing materials, which is high quality, and accessible
- Work with the RSTMH CEO and PCO to deliver sponsorship and other financial support for the event
- Help coordinate meetings of the ICTMM Committees where needed
- Assist the PCO with activities to maximise attendance to the event
- Help deliver travel and accommodation, plus assist with visas for speakers and sponsored attendees
- Oversight and responsibility for the budget, and re-forecasting of income and expenditure for the event
- Work with the PCO on the logistics of the event management e.g. exhibition space and registration
- Assist RSTMH and the Scientific Committee to secure plenary speakers, assisting with logistics
- Establish and manage a system to monitor and evaluate progress towards ICTMM 2028

The Head of Governance will lead the charity’s small Governance and Risk, and Facilities teams. They are responsible for governance, company secretarial, risk management, health and safety, safeguarding, information governance, procurement and contracts management, business continuity planning, and management of facilities and the charity's office and small portfolio of other properties.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced marcomms professional to help us upscale our campaigns activity. From leading the national Tomorrow’s Engineers Week campaign and leveraging external awareness days to increasing audience engagement with our work, this is a varied role working across the marketing, communications, PR mix. This is a new, pivotal strategic role to shape future policy and practice in how faith communities support social prescribing for the benefit of local communities. Building on the emerging body of research around the connection between faith and health, this role will take the lead at a national level influencing, shaping and convening partners to unlock and unleash the significant resources of faith groups in contributing towards holistic healthcare delivered within the community.

Hours: 0.8 FTE (four days a week)
Location: Hybrid, with a focus on London. You’ll need to be in London to work from our office (near Victoria) one day a week and have about two other days per week to attend meetings with policy makers and our members. The Fair Education Alliance (FEA) unites 300 member organisations under a shared vision that no child’s success is limited by their socioeconomic background.
Our members (charities and social enterprises, think tanks, businesses and foundations, youth organisations, unions, universities and schools) are working collectively to create an inclusive system. We exist to close the gap in educational outcomes between children from low-income households and their wealthier peers.
This autumn, we’re kicking off our next strategic phase, which will take our work from neighbourhood to national, building a movement for systems change towards a fairer future for children and young people.
Why we need you
The gaps in educational outcomes between children from low-income households and their wealthier peers are staggering at every stage of education. This goes on to increase the likelihood that young people from low-income households will be out of employment, education, or training. We take a systems change approach to shifting the conditions that hold these inequities in place. With the next phase of our strategy underway—building a movement from neighbourhood to national—we need someone who can help us influence policy and practice with insight, evidence and urgency.
We aim to bring insights from our diverse and expert membership to policymakers, ensuring that local, regional and national policies best serve children and young people from low-income backgrounds. We support members to organise around themes through our collective action working groups, which have advised Government on topics such as Family Hubs, the Curriculum and Assessment Review, and the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill, and will continue to contribute expertise to upcoming policy moments related to SEND, Skills England and Ofsted. We also support youth voice in policymaking through our Youth Steering Group, which has contributed independently to major policy developments, bringing valuable lived experience to decision-making. From September, we’ll also support members, young people and government bodies to craft regional policy and practice that benefits children and young people from low-income backgrounds.
Our Digital Membership Tools (Member Directory and interactive Ecosystem Map) have the potential to play a crucial role in our policy work. These tools help members, funders, and policymakers target their work to where it is most needed. There is a wealth of data in these tools: the Ecosystem Map is the only place that marries up publicly available information about pupil demographics and outcomes with information about all 22,000 schools where our members are working. It shows where there is strong or weak provision related to different types of support, at a school, local authority, constituency, MAT or regional level, together with the outcomes pupils are achieving.
We now need someone who can harness these assets to produce compelling insights and engage policymakers—from local authorities and combined authorities to central government and funders. This role will turn data into impact: creating clear, targeted reports that support decision-making, identifying gaps and opportunities, and helping us tell the story of how education can—and must—be fairer.

Develop a strategy to influence policy from neighbourhood to national
You’ll lead our approach to turning insights into influence—connecting our data, member knowledge and youth voice to shape policy that improves outcomes for children and young people. That means designing a strategy that engages decision-makers at all levels, from civil servants and funders to combined authorities and Parliament. You’ll identify the right stakeholders and entry points, use our Ecosystem Map and Member Directory to generate targeted insights, and align our regional and national work for maximum impact.
Translate data into insight—and insight into action
You’ll be responsible for developing reports and briefings that tell powerful stories with data. Working closely with our Data Officer, you’ll design templates and processes to produce timely, high-quality outputs that are tailored to different audiences, and that enable the wider team to do so. You’ll complement our datasets with wider research and trends, and ensure our insights are used by both internal colleagues and external stakeholders to inform programmes, policy and funding decisions.
Engage senior stakeholders and building meaningful relationships
You’ll represent the Alliance in meetings, roundtables, and events—sharing evidence and building trusted relationships with policymakers, civil servants, and funders. Youth Involvement Lead
The role is based at the Trust’s office in West Berkshire with a minimum of one day per week (typically Mondays) expected to be worked at our Newbury office. Flexible working arrangements are available with the understanding that this must meet the objectives of the charity and requirements of the role.
Part-time (0.4 FTE), permanent, £27,745 - £31,227 FTE, depending on experience.
This is a key role leading on the delivery of Youth Involvement work within a leading mental health charity focused on supporting the systems around children and young people. We are looking for a compassionate, flexible and focused professional with excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working with young people with lived experience of mental health challenges, as well as a strong track record of delivering on discrete projects.
The Youth Involvement Lead is focused on ensuring that youth voice and lived experience is integrated into work across the Charlie Waller Trust (CWT). The exact focus of the work will shift over time in line with the interests of each cohort and needs of CWT, but is likely to include: supporting the Youth Ambassadors to engage externally, via speaking opportunities; contributing to the Charitable Activity team’s work; creating communications content with Communications team support; and supporting the CWT staff team to better understand lived experience perspectives so they can carry out their roles more effectively.
The role would suit someone with a keen interest in ensuring this work is as impactful as possible, who is a ‘doer’ and a broker of relationships, with strong interpersonal skills to remotely support people with lived experience. Our ideal candidate will have experience of a similar role.
