We’re looking for a Facilities and Operations Lead to take ownership of day-to-day operations across multiple sites for a well-established charity in Fulham. As well as overseeing facilities and managing supplier relationships, you’ll support new starters with onboarding, help staff get the most from their equipment and systems, and work closely with colleagues to improve processes and service quality.

You’ll manage a small, friendly team (Receptionist and Apprentice), foster a positive and professional working environment, and make sure the spaces we work in are welcoming, safe, and fit for purpose.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading day-to-day office and facilities operations across all sites

• Coordinating IT systems and equipment support for staff and new starters

• Liaising with contractors, suppliers, and service providers

• Keeping risk registers up to date and supporting organisational performance reporting

Your first six months

About the opportunity

The London Programme Coordinator will be responsible for managing a caseload of up to seven partner schools, attending and coordinating weekly tutoring sessions, developing relationships with pupils, school staff and volunteer tutors and collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes. What the job involves

This is a unique chance to play a pivotal role in driving impactful external communication strategies that support High Value, Philanthropy and Partnerships teams. Bipolar is a severe mental health condition, characterised by extreme mood changes that range from manic highs to suicidal lows, affecting 2% of the UK population, and we are seeking a candidate who can work as part of our developing engagement in research, alongside our dedicated team of staff and volunteers in realising our ambition of making a far reaching and meaningful difference to the everyday lives of those impacted by Bipolar.

This role is 90% remote working. 

The Postdoctoral Research Manager will assist the Director of Research in running Bipolar UK’s Research Division:

• working with the charity and its multiple partner projects and collaborators to deliver on our current research commitments
• to develop the long-term sustainability of the Bipolar UK Research Division

This is an exciting role which will combine overseeing and managing existing and prospective research partnerships with research teams around the country and world, and taking part in the development of Bipolar UK-led research.

Current research partners include teams at UCL, Oxford, Cardiff and the GW4 Alliance, Swansea, King’s College London, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Lancaster, Liverpool, together with international organisations such as The Global Bipolar Cohort and the International Society for Bipolar Disorders. Our aim at Bipolar UK is to integrate research into the charity in a way which combines more traditional elements of facilitating lived experience involvement alongside actively contributing to and directing research. Bipolar UK is very much a user-driven organisation. Approximately one-third of our staff, including our Director of Research, have lived experience of bipolar themselves, while many more have lived experience through family or close friends. The key focus will be:

• Content creation & copywriting: write, edit and oversee the production of high-impact Centenary content across all channels
• Digital communications: Lead the development and optimisation of digital content strategies, ensuring consistent messaging.
• Digital marketing & promotion: develop an integrated digital marketing plan to build excitement and reach for key Centenary activity.
• Strategic Communications: bring to life the strategic comms plan, driving the development of key tools to ensure widest engagement
• Stakeholder engagement: work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to build strong understanding and engagement

About the role 

The Supporter Care Lead role is a varied and business critical role.  You’ll be maintaining the day to day operations for first line support and will play a pivotal role in developing the team and the Supporter Experience Strategy. You’ll ensure we’re deepening relationships with supporters and exceeding their expectations. 

The Supporter Care Team is at the very forefront of delivering front-line experiences and ensuring that every interaction with Parkinson’s UK is valued and matters.

What you’ll do:

• Work collaboratively with the Head of Supporter Experience and other Experience leads to support the creation of the Experience strategy

• Lead, motivate and support the team to achieve agreed objectives, ensuring SLAs are met and key projects are supported

• Provide expert insight into our audience data and use this information to measure success, improve processes, supporter experience and ultimately increase income and loyalty

• Oversight and responsibility for new Feedback case management system including onboarding of key business areas to increase volume and diversify sources of feedback

• Implement regular and robust feedback reports in order to gain insight, sharing learnings with leadership teams and the Fundraising Regulator

What you’ll bring:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and develop others 

• Proven experience of delivering effective customer service and supporter care 

• Experience of working at a senior level, managing multiple stakeholders to manage and deliver projects and lead busy teams
