This is one of two District Property Secretary roles in North West England Methodist District, who will be the first point of contact on all matters relating to property. Using their knowledge of land and buildings, and their use and maintenance, in addition to knowledge of governance in the Methodist church context, the postholders will ensure a coherent and holistic approach to property across the District. 

Key Responsibilities 

Provide advice to churches and circuits on property-related matters

Work with colleagues, including ministers and lay members of the circuits and churches within the District, to maximise utilisation of property and land across the District for mission and income generation, in line with Connexional property strategy

- Support with selling properties

- Collaborate with colleagues on seeking alternative opportunities for mission or income generation

- Provide guidance on potential grant opportunities

Provide support with the instruction of professional advisors and contractors and liaise with surveyors as necessary

Provide advice and support to ensure projects are delivered effectively and in compliance with relevant standards and legislation

Support the management of the consents process

- Advise the consent giving body of the District regarding property projects and the feasibility of District grants

- Provide support on the use of the online consents system

- Oversee the submission of annual returns

Provide oversight of quinquennial inspections

- Ensure inspections are undertaken in a timely manner

- Ensure action points are followed up

- Collate copies of returns

To assist in the development and continual review of the District Development Plan for property

Ensure work is in line with the requirements of relevant bodies and legislation

- The Methodist Standing Orders and Connexional Team (including as a member of the Connexional Property Group)

- Maintain the District relationship with TMCP and action any correspondence as required

Report at District Policy Committee/Synod as required   

NWED covers the geographical areas of Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, and parts of Cheshire and Derbyshire. 

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000

Hours: 35hrs per week, including some evening and weekend working

About the role

The Senior Adviser post is a new role to increase capacity within our small and friendly Advice and Information Team. The Senior Adviser will be responsible for delivering high quality, evidence-based, advice and information by email and phone to Coram BAAF members. Our enquirers are primarily social workers at all levels including senior managers, along with associated professionals in health, legal and other areas of children’s social care.

The role will also support our Outbound Permanence Service which provides specialist advice and resources for local authorities across the UK seeking to place a looked after child with relatives overseas, and also offers training and consultancy. The post holder will, once familiar, have the opportunity to participate in Outbound training delivery.

We envisage this as a 4 day per week role, but are open to considering additional flexibility within the constraints of our core service hours (see full job description).

This role may suit you if you have considerable experience in childcare social work, in one or more of adoption, kinship, or foster care, together with experience in advising fellow professionals. You will have a clear understanding of the key principles involved in providing accurate, evidence-based advice and information.

You may have experience of working for a similar national helpline or advice, though this is not essential. You should have good knowledge of relevant regulations, guidance, minimum standards, and published good practice, along with the ability to research and translate complex information into accurate, clear, evidence-based, and practical advice.

Our Development Team

The Donmar has an exceptional ability to raise private funds, and the vital importance of fundraising is recognised across the organisation and embedded in the overall strategy. Each year we raise around half our income through fundraising from a varied number of sources, with corporate income representing around a third of the fundraised income. The Development team is led by the Director of Strategic Development and Fundraising, and comprises 11 people.

Purpose of the role

The Development Events Manager will be responsible for the planning, administration and delivery of all development events at the Donmar Warehouse, working alongside the Head of Trusts and Events and with support from the Events Administrator.

Who We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of leading, managing and delivering events and strong project management skills. They will have excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to proactively work on their own initiative as well as in a team, with very strong attention to detail. They will be used to working in a fast-paced environment and to leading multiple events simultaneously.

Your experience:

Make-A-Wish UK is looking for a proactive and organised Individual Giving Officer to help deliver impactful fundraising campaigns that support our mission to grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.

Essential Criteria

• Experience of planning and delivering direct marketing or fundraising campaigns across a range of channels, such as face-to-face, telefundraising, direct mail, email and paid digital.
• Experience managing day-to-day campaign coordination tasks, including developing creative or data briefs, working with suppliers, tracking campaign schedules and reviewing copy or assets.
• Confidence working with external partners and suppliers, such as telefundraising and face-to-face agencies, printers, media buyers or creative agencies.
• Ability to work with internal teams such as data, digital and supporter care to ensure smooth delivery and strong supporter journeys.
• Understanding of the end-to-end campaign process, including briefing, delivery, analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of supporter stewardship and the principles of delivering a strong donor experience across multiple channels.
• Good working knowledge of campaign reporting, including response rates, CPA, ROI and retention metrics.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook, with confidence handling spreadsheets and basic campaign reporting.

Core Purpose
The Individual Giving Officer plays a key role in delivering Make-A-Wish UK’s Individual Giving and Legacy fundraising activity. Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager – Committed Giving, the post holder will lead on the development and day-to-day delivery of specific campaigns and projects across Regular Giving, Lottery and Payroll Giving. They will also provide support for activity across cash appeals, legacy and in-memory fundraising, working collaboratively with Senior Officers across the wider team.

The Individual Giving Officer will have responsibility for coordinating and delivering individual giving campaigns, managing day-to-day supplier and stakeholder relationships, supporting the development of supporter journeys, and contributing to income growth through effective campaign management. The post holder is expected to plan, deliver and evaluate their own campaigns with guidance and oversight from the Individual Giving Manager and Senior Officers where required.

We have secured a significant level of long-term investment from the Board to substantially grow the Individual Giving programme, drive sustainable income growth and grow our supporter base. This Officer role will play a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of this programme.

Key Responsibilities:
Campaign planning, delivery and evaluation

• Deliver planned Individual Giving activity across Regular Giving, Lottery and Payroll Giving products, coordinating the end-to-end delivery of assigned campaigns across multiple channels including face-to-face, telefundraising, direct mail, email and paid digital.
• Support the delivery of single gift, in memory and legacy activity under the guidance of  the Senior Individual Giving Officer.
• Develop campaign briefs for creative, data, digital and telefundraising teams, ensuring clear objectives, timelines and deliverables.
• Liaise with agencies, printers, media buyers, the internal Telefundraising team, face-to-face fundraising partners, Supporter Care Team, and other suppliers to ensure high-quality and timely campaign delivery.
• Manage day-to-day campaign tasks, ensuring activity is delivered on time, within agreed budgets as set by the Manager and Lead, and adheres to brand and quality standards.
• Contribute to the development of new creative and messaging across channels, applying a test and learn approach to improve response and retention.
• Support the development of paid digital advertising, social and email activity to complement offline campaigns.
• Collate and analyse campaign performance results with the data team, producing wrap up reports, insights and recommendations for future optimisation.
• Maintain accurate and up to date campaign documentation including timelines, data briefs, costs and approvals.

Supporter journeys and stewardship

• Support the development and delivery of supporter journeys that welcome, thank, upgrade, retain and reactivate donors recruited via all channels, including face-to-face, telefundraising, digital and direct mail.
• Coordinate delivery of multi channel communications (email, SMS, print, social) aligned to key supporter touchpoints.
• Work with the Supporter Care and Digital and Tech teams to ensure consistent messaging and experience across channels.
• Maintain journey documentation and ensure updates are applied consistently across face-to-face, telefundraising and digital-led supporters.
• Contribute to the creation and review of fundraising scripts, digital content and creative materials used across channels.

Monitoring and reporting

• Monitor live campaign performance across all channels, including face-to-face and telefundraising volumes, digital engagement and direct mail response, reporting key metrics such as CPA, ROI and retention.
• Support the setup and maintenance of campaign tracking dashboards with the data team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Identify trends and areas for improvement across channels, using data and insight to inform decisions and campaign optimisation.
• Assist with the implementation of testing across channels (e.g. creative, audience, channel mix) and ensure results are documented and shared.

Collaboration and communication

• Build strong relationships with internal teams including data, digital, supporter care, creative and finance to ensure joined up campaign delivery.
• Work closely with the internal telefundraising team to coordinate campaign activity, provide scripts and FAQs, and align messaging and supporter journeys.
• Support ongoing communication with face-to-face agencies and other suppliers, ensuring clarity on deliverables and performance expectations.
• Participate in campaign meetings, supplier reviews and debriefs, sharing performance insights and key learnings.
• Provide timely updates to the Individual Giving Manager on campaign progress, risks and opportunities across all channels.

Compliance and quality assurance

• Ensure all campaign activity complies with relevant regulation and best practice, including the Fundraising Code of Practice, Gambling Commission and GDPR.
• Support quality monitoring across all channels, including face-to-face and telefundraising (e.g. mystery shopping, call listening, script reviews) as well as proofing of direct mail, digital and email materials.
• Coordinate internal review and approval processes for multi channel creative and supplier materials.

Objective:

2wish exists to provide support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under.

Aims:

• Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
• Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
• Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families

2wish Cymru and 2wish:

2wish has been established since 2012 and has grown from strength to strength. During this time, we have worked tirelessly to embed our service and ensure that the offer of support is made at the point of death.

We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under in Wales. We work in partnership with professionals who refer into the charity on behalf of the families, so they don't have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.

Context of role:

2wish support anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We are an All-Wales charity providing immediate casework support, as well as ongoing aftercare services including counselling, alternative therapies, play therapy, support groups, support events and a respite cottage.

This role is subject to a DBS check.

Purpose of role:

This is exciting time to join the 2wish team as we continue to expand our services across England that will see us deepening our presence in England. We’re looking for someone who can seek out and build great partnerships, cultivate and manage large corporate donors whose values align with ours and help raise brand awareness. Someone who can proactively generate new and repeat business and enjoys networking and building relationships with both corporate sponsors and high net worth donors.

Main duties:

Team Leadership

• Line manage the Corporate Fundraiser and Events Coordinator, providing guidance, support, and performance oversight.

Partnership Development

• Identify and secure strategic partnerships to grow annual and long-term income.
• Develop and implement innovative and creative approaches to overcome challenges in generating funding and building partnerships.
• Lead stewardship and engagement of corporate supporters, including creating tailored plans and activities to maintain strong relationships and encourage long-term support.

Strategic Growth & Awareness

• Work with the Head of Fundraising to develop and implement strategies to increase funding, raise brand awareness, and expand 2wish’s reach across Wales and England.
• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and target relevant leads.
• Plan and deliver tailored events and attend community and industry events to promote 2wish’s services, raise funds, and attract new audiences.
• Identify and recommend networking and speaking opportunities for the CEO and senior team to raise funds, increase awareness, and build strategic connections.
• Manage sponsorship opportunities to promote the charity’s mission and build new relationships.

Planning, Collaboration & Evaluation

• Work with the Head of Fundraising to set income targets, develop financial forecasts, and monitor progress.
• Manage budgets for partnerships activities, ensuring effective use of resources and achievement of fundraising goals.
• Analyse and report on the performance of business development initiatives, including partnerships and events, and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with teams across 2wish, including fundraising and marketing teams, to align partnership goals with the wider organisational strategy.
• Support the development of targeted campaigns in collaboration with fundraising and marketing teams to secure new partnerships.

What we do for you:

Salary: Starting salary of £32,000 per annum.

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Normal hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, although alternative hours may be worked with line manager agreement. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu.

Annual leave: 28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.

Pension: 2wish operate a contributory pension scheme. 2wish will auto-enrol you into the scheme in accordance with it's auto-enrolment obligations. Full details of the scheme will be provided to you once you are enrolled, including the minimum level of contributions that you will be required to make during your membership (current contributions - employer 3% and employee 5%).

Mileage: A fixed rate allowance is payable for agreed mileage undertaken on 2wish business in a private vehicle, over and above your usual journey to your workplace/s.

Location: 2wish is currently working with staff to offer a form of hybrid working and this will continue for the foreseeable.
