About the role

As Maritime Administrator you will play a key part in supporting the operational delivery of international conferences and governance meetings in line with the organisational constitution and contributing to the success of the maritime sections organisational work programme.

You will work with colleagues and external stakeholders worldwide to ensure the smooth delivery of the administration function, including the logistical aspects of our global activities, meetings and conferences.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Organising international meetings and conferences: creating registration platforms for meetings; venue sourcing; budgeting & forecasting; delegate management; managing rooming allocations, catering and audio-video (AV) requirements; arranging interpreters when required; booking international travel and supporting visa processes.
• Documentation: assisting with the drafting and proofreading of documents for maritime meetings and conferences in line with the appropriate templates and procedures; minute taking and report writing at committee level; liaising with the in-house translation coordinators to ensure documents are submitted on time and dealing with related queries; creating document packs for maritime meetings and conferences.
• Administration: drafting, proofreading and formatting internal and external communications in line with ITF templates and standards; processing supplier invoices; other general administrative duties as required.
• Membership: maintaining accurate records and updating ITF databases and other tools, including CRM, to ensure governance committee membership and contact records are up-to date.

Funding: The salary range is £30,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience. This is advertised as a full-time position; however, we are open to flexible arrangements. We are now recruiting for a Lead Coach in Islington - an outstanding opportunity to work as part of a local church to deliver the Spear Programme.

You’ll be working with the local church to manage the delivery of Resurgo's award-winning Spear Programme. Over the last 20 years, Spear has supported more than 11,000 young people across the UK with the work-ready skills and mindset they need to succeed in employment, no matter the challenges they face. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.
• Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room.
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively.

Delivery of Spear Career [20%]

• Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees.

Training the Asssistant Coach [10%]

• Contributing towards the training and developing of the Assistant Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback.

Trainee recruitment [10%]

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics.

Continuous professional development

• Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and supporting the Church Partnerships Managers with overall team training and development.

About the role

The Restart Project is a year into our five year strategy. We have a bold vision, clear finance and communications strategies and an outline fundraising strategy, developed with support from our trustees. Our vision and track-record has helped us to secure a number of multi-year grants, and now is the time to build on this work. 

We’re looking for a driven, organised and creative Fundraising and Partnerships Lead to help us diversify our income, expand our funding relationships, and build on our financial sustainability.  With a focus on generating income from corporate partnerships and Trust and Foundation fundraising, you will also support our efforts to generate income from a diverse range of areas. 

You will build out our pipeline of funding leads, including building and managing new and existing relationships.  Much of this will include securing funding from traditional sources and supporting efforts to boost unrestricted income. 

You will also have the opportunity to be innovative in pursuing funding for the organisation. This will involve working with the Co-Directors and other team members to develop and secure funding for exciting new projects. Responsible for expanding income within an underfunded sector, creativity and drive will be essential characteristics.

Job Description

Fundraising strategy 

• Build on our existing finance strategy and outline funding plan to create a robust fundraising strategy for the next 2-3 years.

• Work with the broader team to achieve the goals and targets set out in the finance strategy to support Restart’s overall operational strategy.

• Develop and manage a 12 month rolling fundraising pipeline, including regular horizon scanning. 

• Work with team members to ensure Restart’s impact is well communicated to potential donors.

• Work with our fundraising committee, a sub group of our trustee board, to help shape our future fundraising strategy.

Corporate partnerships

• Secure income from corporates by boosting Restart’s visibility and increasing the frequency of high value donations.

• Create corporate sponsorship packages to secure income for existing Restart activities or projects, as well as general organisational sponsorship, and pitch them to a pipeline of corporates. 

• Work with the Co-Directors and other staff to develop funded corporate or other partnerships around innovative projects that will support Restart’s strategy.

• Research, pitch and secure opportunities for Charity of the Year affiliations.

• Ensure that partnerships are managed well, with good reporting and value for partners to ensure retention. 

Trusts and Foundations 

• Be responsible for submitting bids, tracking and reporting on outcomes with the support of our Operations and Finance Lead.

• Help broaden our pool of funders, including building and maintaining relationships made through allies, and networking with funds that don’t accept unsolicited proposals.

New sources of income

• Support the team to develop income from other sources. This will include matched crowdfunding, paid events and consultancy. 

• Explore other ways of securing income and funding relationships.

GADN is recruiting for a new Director (Job share – Funding, Finance and Governance)   

GADN brings together NGOs and individual experts committed to achieving gender equality and the rights of women and girls in all their diversity across the world.  Our Secretariat is a small but highly respected team coordinating advocacy towards the UK Government and supporting our members to promote best practice. 

This new position will work alongside the existing Director to provide strategic direction and vision to the network and oversee the organisation’s operational work. In addition, the primary purpose of this role will be to bring in new sustainable sources of funding for the network in an increasingly difficult funding climate, and to ensure the smooth running of financial and administrative systems and Board governance.

We are looking for someone with leadership skills and vision who is passionate about our work and able to enthuse others. The ideal candidate will have a track-record in securing new funds and experience of external representation at senior levels with donors. You will bring experience in management, ideally at a senior level, and an understanding of budgets and financial planning.

This is an 18-month fixed-term position, for 14 hours a week.

We are Chance to Shine: a children’s charity dedicated to harnessing the power of cricket to transform the life prospects of young people in the UK.

Key responsibilities

Special Events

• Co-ordinate logistics for CTS fundraising and organisational events including managing event paperwork and processes, such as invitations and RSVPs
• Manage events as directed e.g. lead on the delivery of the annual stadium takeover day, golf day and/or other events as required
• Responsible for administrative support for CTS fundraising events including maintaining attendee and gift records on our Raisers Edge database
• Responsible for proactively sourcing auction items and the fulfilment of said auction items and raffle prizes to be used at CTS and third-party fundraising events, including developing partnerships with potential auction donors (both individual and corporates)
• To effectively manage the tracking, distribution and coordination of all cricket tickets and hospitality associated with auction prizes throughout the year
• To support with sales for CTS events, such as golf days and fundraising dinners, through prospect research
