Here at One Million Mentors, our aim is to ensure that every young person in the country has access to a trained mentor as they transition into adulthood. We believe that investing in mentors will help to address the skills gap agenda and improve social cohesion.

This is one of two Regional Manager roles in London; a Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors, and Regional Manager for Programme Delivery.

The Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors focuses on mentor supply, securing sufficient volunteers primarily for London and also for 1MM’s national outreach. The role is responsible for overseeing high-quality sourcing of volunteers to join as 1MM Mentors, in London and nationally. This includes partnership development, online site listing, and matching mentors/mentees, and oversight of some corporate programmes. Also to consider safeguarding measures, fundraising, meeting growth targets and leading all aspects of mentor management. The role will help to establish a pipeline in line with 1MM’s aspirations for 2024 and beyond.  This role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

1MM Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors main tasks include:

• Helping 1MM to scale by helping establish over 150 new, high quality mentoring matches each quarter. (A match means that the mentor and the mentee have completed 1MM’s training and have had their first meeting)

• Meeting all quality assurance KPIs.

• Maximising conversion, retention, and mitigate drop-off

• Providing ongoing support for key stakeholder partners, including Employers, and maintaining strong relationships.

• Securing at least one new partner per quarter.

• Becoming familiar with the 1MM Platform, using it comfortably for ongoing administration and providing support to users.

• Providing regular reports on progress related to the role.

• Potential for line-management responsibilities as the team grows.

Terms and Conditions: This is a full time role offered in London, for 6 months (continuing subject to funding). This is a hybrid role with two days working at home, two days in the London office, and one day where it is up to you.

Remuneration and benefits: Salary bracket of £29,000 per annum plus London Weighting (pro rata), up to 6.5% employer pension contribution and 25 days holiday per year (pro rata).  We also offer monthly team Learning and Development training sessions, and 15 hours volunteering allowance per year.

About the role

We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Business Development Manager with a passion for relationship building and service sales. Someone who can actively engage and work with our existing client portfolio and win new business through formal tendering opportunities to ensure VoiceAbility remains a provider of choice.

In this new role, you will sit in the Business and Strategy directorate working proactively with external stakeholders and colleagues from across the organisation to ensure that we grow our portfolio of contracts, re-win existing business and advise clients of new services. You will be doing a mixture of new business sales and account management of existing services.

• Leading on tender processes, where evaluations or components of them are to outsourced and manage delivery ensuring the work is delivered according to agreed timelines and meets user needs.
• Facilitating learning by supporting programme and Innovation managers and teams to reflect on and learn from evaluation findings.

The successful candidate will be experienced in monitoring and evaluating interventions with a focus on undertaking process evaluations, measuring outcomes and impact using a variety of methodologies and techniques. You will have the ability to lead on design, delivery and implementation of monitoring and evaluation for project and programmes and have familiarity with handling data protection protocols, ensuring data security and ethical considerations. A high level of experience in report writing is also crucial, as are exceptional written and oral skills, including the ability to present complex information in simplified form for non-technical audiences.

What will you be doing?

This is an exciting new position within Plantlife’s successful and ambitious Partnerships Team. It will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to engage a diverse range of existing and new supporters to secure high value gifts for Plantlife's vital conservation work.

The Senior Partnerships Manager will communicate confidently and clearly about the value of mutually beneficial collaborations to achieve common goals. This role will need to work cross team, innovate to wow donors, craft supporter journeys, and create long term commitments to deliver core income towards Plantlife’s mission to create a world rich in plants and fungi.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with the right skills, either through prior experience in major gift fundraising or with similar transferrable skills. The ideal candidate will be warm, approachable, and able to build trust. A natural networker who loves to initiate conversations and is comfortable making a funding ask. The role will include prospect research, setting up meetings, making calls, giving presentations, writing proposals, implementing stewardship plans, and actively engaging supporters with our work.

We are offering the role as hybrid or home based. We have offices in Salisbury or Retford. Regular travel across the UK will be required to meet potential supporters and attendance at monthly face to face Partnership meetings (usually in Birminghan) and occasional Plantlife events.

We are looking to recruit a talented and self-motivated Senior Business Development Manager to join us in June 2024 on a 12 month fixed term maternity cover contract.

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Development, this role is essential to driving forward the implementation of Creative United’s business development plans across multiple programme and project strands. Key responsibilities include the planning and delivery of business development activities that build on our existing service offer, responding to the needs of the creative communities that we serve, whether on a local, regional or national basis.

This is a hybrid-working role that involves spending a minimum of 2 days per week at our offices in London. You will have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy building relationships through a combination of face to face, telephone and written communications. You will be comfortable working with minimal supervision to plan and coordinate activities that involve the buy-in of other staff and partner organisations. You will be able to inspire and motivate other people to work with you to achieve our shared goals and priorities through effective planning, implementation and evaluation.
