About the Youth Endowment Fund

We’re here to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to change things.

In recent years, violent crime involving children has increased. This is a tragedy. Every child is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment that exists to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We will achieve this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. To make this happen we fund, evaluate, and then spread the very best work on reducing violence affected young people across England and Wales.

Central to all of this to is two key tasks: firstly, deciding which initiatives we should fund and evaluate and secondly, ensuring we do this excellently. Our Programmes Team is central to getting this done. This team is responsible for planning specific rounds of funding that will fill evidence gaps and identifying, assessing, funding, and supporting initiatives designed to prevent violence affecting young people. This way we build evidence on what works so that we can change national practice and policies.

Your main responsibilities will be ensuring that:

We have great relationships with the people who can make change happen.

This will include:

• Developing great relationships with senior policy makers, sector leaders and experts, including representing YEF in external meetings and speaking at events.
• Build a Strategic Advisory Board of leading experts across the health sector and keep members onside and excited about our work.

We deliver the health system recommendations. 

This will include:

• Helping to identify the right recommendations at a system level (such as changes in policy, regulation, inspection, funding, or guidance) that make it more likely highly vulnerable children get access to the right support at the right time.
• Creating and delivering a plan to deliver the health system reforms, working closely with leaders to make the change happen.
• Tracking progress carefully, being thoughtful and creative about when and how to change the plan. 

We work out the most effective ways to connect people with the evidence, then making those things happen.

This will include:

• Helping health leaders change how they plan or provide services to better protect children from violence, based on our Practice Guidance.
• You can read our first guidance for school, college, and alternative provision leaders here.
• Creating a plan to get people to follow our guidance, using what we know about how they think and behave.
• Continuously testing and improving our approach to get better results.

First-hand knowledge of the system that supports highly vulnerable children, particularly those at risk of or involved in violence. This includes children with conditions such as conduct disorder, psychosis, substance use disorder, ADHD, developmental language disorder, and traumatic brain injury. You understand the barriers these children face and what it takes to get them the right support.

Hybrid Working

The office is based in Central London. Those living in and around London are expected to be in the office a minimum of 2 days per week. Summary

The Education and Growing Faith department is looking to hire a Senior Programme Officer to support the church schools and the wider education sector. Working in the Operations Team, you'll be directly supporting the Head of Operations with project work and the wider NSE with system and process support. The role will offer the post-holder the opportunity to work across a range of areas such as communications, HR, grant management, reporting and governance. There will be a mix of longer strategic project work, and shorter task-based work.

About the Department/Role

The National Society for Education (NSE) is both an NCI and a Royal-charter charity. It's aims are to support Church schools and the wider education sector by developing leaders, shaping policy and growing faith.

The NSE leads the Church of England's national work in education in partnership with 41 Diocesan Boards of Education and approximately 4,700 Church of England schools. We also support the national education work of the Church in Wales, which includes around 150 schools. Our presence extends to work with community schools and academy trusts, as well as higher and further education through numerous chaplaincies, providing spiritual support and guidance to children and young people, and to adults.

We are a dynamic team, working remotely from our homes around the country. We gather regularly online, and fairly regularly in person.

What you'll be doing

The purpose of this role is to:

• Support the Head of Operations with policy development and reviews.
• Take responsibility for the continued development and management of the online Office Manual.
• Support the Head of Operations with due diligence tasks around new areas of work, taking ownership of discrete projects.
• Project manage areas of work as delegated by the Head of Operations, creating work plans, managing stakeholders, providing project reports regularly.
• Take responsibility for certain HR policy implementation such as designing and rolling out appropriate induction processes.
• Alongside the marketing staff, support the Head of Operations with the management of our internal and external comms.
• Lead the development of Asana (an online project management tool) use across the Operations Team.

CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.

The Role

Following an exciting period of growth, CoppaFeel! is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Finance Officer to join our expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in charity finance and play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our financial operations.

You’ll be working closely with our Director of Finance and Senior Finance Manager to help manage CoppaFeel!’s day-to-day finances and contribute to a range of essential finance functions. As part of a newly developed finance team, you’ll have the chance to make a real impact as we shape our systems and processes to support our continued growth.

We’re looking for someone with experience working in a finance role, ideally within a small team or charity environment. You’ll need to be confident using accounting software (we use Xero), have strong Excel skills, and be comfortable working independently. Most importantly, you’ll be proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to the success of our mission.

This role can be full time of part time with a minimum of 26.25 hours per week.

This role sits within the Finance team and reports to the Senior Finance Manager. This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.

Duties & Responsibilities

Month end tasks

• Reconcile all bank accounts, fixed asset register, depreciation, payables and receivables
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Support the posting and review of month-end journals
• Assist in the preparation of weekly payment runs and reports
• Support the administration/checking of the pensions and employee benefits
• Maintaining accurate records restricted fund transactions

Quarterly tasks

• Prepare and submit basic VAT returns
• Assist with Gift Aid claims and ensure accurate donor Gift Aid records are maintained

Stakeholder

• Oversee and provide cover for the Finance Assistant, ensuring smooth processing of donations via fundraising platforms
• Collaborate with the CRM Officer and Fundraising Team to ensure accurate donation records
• Provide finance-related support and training to staff, including inductions and updates to finance policies

Procurement

• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions (including systems)
• Support creating, maintaining and checking procurement checklist in accordance to policy
• Supporting in value for money costings and basic ROI’s

Other tasks

• Support with the annual audit and annual report
• Work closely with the Operations Team and others on cross-organisational projects
• Undertake general administrative and ad-hoc finance tasks, including handling finance post, banking, event support, and processing physical Gift Aid/sponsorship forms

London Weighting

Fixed Term contract to 31st March 2026 – May be extended subject to funding (plus 6% contributory pension. 35 hours per week).

Due to the immediate need for this post we will be interviewing suitable applicants as they are received.

The Care Navigator will support those with long term conditions to access timely care and community support services. Working closely with Camden GP practices and Integrated Care Teams is required as is accurate record keeping using IT systems. Through timely intervention and care co-ordination, unnecessary hospital admissions, GP appointments and residential placements will be reduced.

The successful candidate will come from an information/advice, social care or health background, must be computer literate, and have excellent people and communication skills, and able to work in a multi-disciplinary team. Experience of person centred planning is required. It is important that a candidate promotes a culture that values, protects and uses information for the success of the organisation and benefit of its clients/patients. For this role it is essential that you to have the ability to travel across Camden as the role involves visiting clients in their own homes. We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to support our team with a range of administrative and project-based tasks. The Membership and Learning team is dedicated to developing, co-creating, and delivering engaging, inclusive learning experiences that foster creativity, curiosity and critical thinking in philanthropy and grant making. In this dynamic role, you'll be involved in organising conferences and meetings, hosting webinars, managing key projects, and building strong relationships across the network. Our members vary from very small teams with two or three staff to well established very well- resourced foundations. You will be part of a multidisciplinary group, working with research, evaluation, business intelligence, data and digital analytics experts, to deliver against key research and insight focus areas for Macmillan, prioritising effort where potential return and impact is greatest.

You will also work closely with Macmillan’s subject matter experts and our research agency partners to develop and deliver high quality research projects that meet organisational needs and ensure Macmillan’s evidence base remains current and comprehensive.

About you
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Experience of current qualitative and quantitative research & analysis tools, methodologies, and structured thinking techniques, including working with minority and seldom-heard groups.
• Project management experience (scope, budget, and schedule management) in a matrix environment  requiring collaboration across a range of disciplines and/or in people management (including volunteers or interns).
• Experience of supporting strategy development and product and service innovation processes.

Our London, South-East & East Region has a new opportunity for an Executive Officer. You will be responsible for supporting effective grant-making across the region, helping us to distribute over £130m to good causes throughout the region.

As an Executive Officer, you’ll be part of a driven and passionate team, led by a Senior Head of Regional Funding. Within the team there are 2 Senior Grant Making Managers, 10 Funding Managers, 40 Funding Officers as well as 1 other Executive Officer. You will report into a Funding Manager and work both remotely and be based for some of the time in the London Office (located near King’s Cross Station). There will be some occasional travel to other locations across the region throughout the year. 

Organising will be at the heart of your role and you will be in regular contact with the team across the region. The key duties of the role include:

· Supporting the Senior Head of Regional Funding, managers and their teams.

· Administration of our grant making database using Salesforce.

· Diary management for Senior Head of Regional Funding and Senior Managers.
