Job Title: Deputy Service Manager

Location: Elephant and Castle (around a 7 - 10 minute walk) onsite working, step free access

Salary: £33,200

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday on rota which can vary between 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00, and 14:00 - 22:00. You will also take part in the out of hours on call service for managers. Home working available one day per month, one evening per week, and no bank holiday working. 

About the role

We're seeking a Deputy Service Manager to join our Independent Approved Premises (IAP), commissioned by Criminal Justice Service (IAP) which works with high risk offenders who have left prison. Penrose Drive is a community setting, rather than custodial where residents can go out in the community if they do not have restrictions on their license. Security is therefore flexible in both design and operation. The team work in a multi disciplinary approach, working alongside probation services, job centres, mental health teams, and other community partners. 

You will lead the team by providing line management and leadership support to enable and empower the team to deliver high quality support to our residents. You will ensure a quality service is delivered in line with our contractual requirements, and will encourage the creation of a psychologically informed environment, which provides person centred support. The role includes:

• Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
• Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service
• Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
• Property and Housing Management, ensuring the accommodation meets our requirements, and repairs and maintenance are regularly reported and completed
• Financial Management, including petty cash and budget management
• Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.

Someone who is knowledgeable in the needs of our residents, particularly within the criminal justice system and can support the team in delivering excellence. • Experience of working within a criminal justice system environment
• Ability to lead a team to achieve service KPI's

About the Role:

This role is crucial in the long-term retention and growth of our partnership revenue streams. The role requires strong interpersonal, negotiation, and project management skills to maintain and nurture mutually beneficial strategic alliances to enhance Urban Synergy’s capacity and reach. Who we are looking for:

Proven experience in a partnership development or similar role, preferable within the non-profit sector. Minimum of 5 yrs experience in this area.

We are hiring a Deputy Manager to deliver quality services to children and young people with learning disabilities and/or Autism.  The job is based in our wonderful five bedded home in Tower Hamlets providing fun-based after school activities and short breaks for a small group of children with Autism in a residential setting.  

The role will involve balancing multiple priorities in running an essential and inspirational service for children and young people with Autism.  You will support with strategic and logistical planning while also carrying out hands-on work alongside the rest of the team, ensuring a child centred approach is maintained at all times, and involving children, young people and parents and carers in decision-making structures. Job Summary

Taking a leading role as part of the Individual Giving management team, you play an important part in helping to achieve a step change in the growth of the net voluntary income of St John. The role will work closely across Individual Giving and the wider Fundraising Directorate to develop an evolving supporter acquisition strategy that will aim to recruit new supporters with a focus on digital. • Significant experience in a third sector direct marketing role

You will inherit an established pipeline, giving you plenty of opportunity to raise £10,000-£100,000+ gifts from existing major donors and prospects. You will generate new opportunities by leading prospecting projects, working closely with our fundraising board and by collaborating with colleagues from across the charity.

What you’ll do:

• Identify, cultivate and manage relationships with a pipeline of donors and prospects able to make £10,000 - £100,000+ gifts

• Deliver pipeline activity and income targets, individually and as part of the Philanthropy team

• Secure and deliver a high volume of donor/prospect in-person touch-points, involving Parkinson’s UK senior leadership in key relationships

• Deliver first-class stewardship by maximising engagement opportunities within our stewardship programme

• Work with the Philanthropy Lead to manage the day-to-day activity of our fundraising board and secure new gifts through their networks

What you’ll bring:

• Demonstrable experience of successful major donor fundraising, with experience in securing five/six figure gifts through making verbal and written asks 

• A strong track record of building successful relationships with major donors through one-to-one meetings, phone calls, communications, events and bespoke cultivation 

• Excellent verbal presentation and persuasive writing skills 

• The confidence to influence, negotiate and inspire stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally

• Ability to proactively identify, qualify and generate new prospects

Role Purpose

Key responsibilities

• Manage partnerships - Steward a portfolio of trusts, corporates, and individual donors, ensuring consistent communication, timely reporting,  and strong funder retention.

Essential skills and experience:
