About the Role:

The Trust Fundraising Intern will work in collaboration with the Senior Trust and Foundations Manager to be responsible for securing critical funding that sustains our life-changing programs worldwide. As part of your internship, you’ll have the chance to contribute meaningfully to fundraising efforts, gaining hands-on experience in trust fundraising and developing skills that will help you kick-start your career in the charity sector.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Portfolio Support

• Assist in managing a portfolio of trust and foundation supporters, focusing on smaller funders to build relationships and secure gifts.
• Support the Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager in maintaining accurate and up-to-date donor records on the CRM database.
• Help with stewardship activities, including preparing thank-you communications, reports, and updates to funders.

2. Research and Prospect Development

• Conduct research into new funding prospects and support the development of bespoke, compelling proposals tailored to potential donors.
• Track emerging trends in trust and foundation fundraising to identify growth opportunities.

3. Proposal and Report Writing

• Assist in drafting high-quality communications such as funding proposals, applications and impact reports that reflect our projects and inspire support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to gather relevant information for use in proposals and stewardship materials.

4. Administrative Support

• Support the team’s transition to a new CRM system, ensuring trust and foundation data is accurately maintained.
• Help manage the team’s administrative processes, including monitoring deadlines for applications and reporting.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern:

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

The Training Lead - Projects & DFTP (Digital First Transformation Programme) will design, develop and deliver training strategies and plans that successfully support and empower stakeholders to adopt new systems, products, processes and ways of working that align to the MHFA England strategy. About the Role

MSI seeks a Global Programme & Philanthropy Manager for the WISH2 WACA programme. As part of the project management team, the  Global Programme & Philanthropy Manager (GPPM)  will contribute to the fulfilment of an MSI-led consortium’s mission, taking responsibility for the management of sub-contracts for a number of consortium partners, supporting them to deliver their commitments under the project (including payment by results KPIs), ensuring adherence to donor compliance standards, and the delivery of internal commitments under the project by MSI’s Global Support Office.  In addition, the GPPM will lead project management support for a portfolio of MSI country programmes, working closely with MSI’s Africa team, and WISH2 Country Project Leads supporting consortium KPI monitoring, risk management, work-planning and monitoring. 

In addition, s/he will lead on key pieces of work under the project results verification and learning component that the Evidence & Learning Partner (E&L) has responsibility for, coordinating technical inputs across key thematic areas (e.g. advocacy, social norms, disability inclusion etc…), interacting with technical leadership from within the project, coordinating Technical Working Groups and providing technical leadership where appropriate. 

The role will be based either in London or Dakar.

About the role
The Client Services Manager utilises our CRM to manage the Charities team inventory requirements (products including charity entries and advertising packages) across the London Marathon Events portfolio. This role supports the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of the charities team systems and processes to ensure our team can work efficiently, maximise the use of our CRM to support sales and charity customers communications, and give our charity partners a best-in-class customer experience.
 
Key Responsibilities 
 

• Lead the charities advertising asset management process, working with internal teams to confirm timelines, roles and responsibilities and ensure tools and workflows are used efficiently to deliver partners benefits on time and on budget. 
• Support      with registration platform system testing, feedback, management and      development.

This Management Accountant role is available on a permanent contract and full-time basis. The salary band is £45,000-£50,000 and has hybrid working arrangements after probationary period. The charity’s head office is based in East London.

The Management Accountant will work closely with the senior management team and play a key role monitoring financial performance ensuring it is aligned with organisational objectives.

You will be responsible for managing financial processes, budgeting, forecasting, provide financial insights that will aid projects, monitor operational costs, improve financial controls and procedures and lead on creation of monthly management packs for senior leadership. You will also build and maintain professional relationships with senior managers, budget holders, and Head of Departments and be on hand to provide financial advice and assistance.

You will be a qualified accountant (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA) and have proven experience as a management accountant or in a similar finance role. You will have a strong understanding of budget management, financial controls and forecasting. You will have strong IT literacy, with experience using Microsoft Excel and Sage 200.

You will be detail orientated and have high levels of numerical accuracy. You will also have strong levels of organisation and time management skills.

• Provide leadership and guidance to all things finance related, providing mentoring and support to the team, and coaching on financial awareness.

Skills & experience:

• You have interest and belief in our mission, to improve kids’ health through improving food and food education in schools

• You have full or partial qualification through an accredited accountancy body 

• You have experience in a senior finance role (e.g., Director, Head of) in any sector, and some experience within a finance function in the 3rd sector (in particular familiarity with Charities SORP and experience of administering restricted funds).

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated, organised and experienced sports and challenge fundraiser, to deliver a review of our sports and challenge events programme, identifying new opportunities to grow our income.

Working closely with the Head of Individual Giving and Fundraising Campaigns, you will develop strategies and bring new ideas to grow and develop this programme, potentially including community events – to deliver significant growth in income over the next 5 years.

In this feasibility review, you will analyse our past performance including in well-established, externally organised activities such as marathons and third-party challenge events, and our partner events such as the Terry Fox Runs. You will also assess the feasibility of developing and launching our own-branded events.

During the review, you will line-manage the Sports and Challenge Events Officer to maintain and deliver our current successful events programme and work together on the feasibility review to identify new opportunities for innovation and ways to increase participation. 

You will build key relationships across the department and work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, to identify and work through new ways to grow participation and increase fundraising income.

At the end of the review, you will present your findings, making recommendations on the key components for a future sports and challenge programme that reflect our ambitions for growth, with plans to deliver it.

This is initially a fixed term project contract. There is potential for the role to become permanent dependent on the direction and outcomes of the review.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will lead a review of our sports and challenge events programme, including third-party activities such as marathons and challenge events, using data to analyse past performance (income and ROI) and assess the feasibility for developing our own-brand sports, challenge or community events – whilst maintaining the success our current programme of activities.

You will:

• Review, develop and prepare plans to deliver a profitable, engaging and effective annual programmes of sports, challenge and community event opportunities.
• Be responsible for managing the annual available sports marketing budget and contributing to annual budget planning.
• Create innovative new sports and challenge events, designed to attract and retain supporters and develop plans to launch these on time, and to budget.
• Work with Communications and Digital teams to develop comprehensive marketing plans to promote our events, secure participants and increase levels of engagement.

• Support your team to provide excellent stewardship and supporter experience, with pre and post event contact, to encourage repeat participation.
