We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and driven people to join our growing fundraising team.
Our Sunflower Appeal launched in June 2025 and aims to raise £5million by 2029 to open a new cancer centre at the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. This will double chemotherapy capacity in the region, as well as adding outpatient clinics and diagnostic facilities for the first time in Telford. This is our biggest appeal to date, and we need to make sure that our fundraising team is robust and able to rise to this challenge.
We’re looking for people to support our amazing community of fundraisers and donors in the following areas:
- Corporate- we work with business from around our region, building long-term charity partnerships, engaging them in supporting events, and involving their teams in volunteering opportunities. One of our new team members will help us build on our programme of corporate engagement, looking across the region to identify and engage new supporters, as well as working closely with our existing friends in the business community. This role can be based at either our Shrewsbury or Telford office.
- Community- Community fundraising is at the heart of our charity, and we are constantly amazed by the commitment and creativity of our supporters across the region. We are looking for another member of our team to support community fundraising and make sure our community have a brilliant experience with us. This role will have a specific focus on building our support in Telford & Wrekin and will be based primarily in our Telford office.
Our Fundraisers need to be able to build successful relationships and will be motivated to make a real difference to their local community through their fundraising efforts. They will be confident, engaging and able to communicate our message to a wide range of people. They will be resourceful and able to identify opportunities, getting people involved in a way that suits them, and adds real value to our cause.
We are looking for the equivalent of two full time people to fill these roles. This could be one person working in each area, but we will consider part time and job shares opportunities for the right candidates.

About the role
Do you live in Edinburgh or the surrounding area?
As a senior community fundraiser, you’ll be an important part of the team building Breast Cancer Now’s presence in Scotland, with a particular focus on Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
We’re looking for someone who is an experienced relationship builder, someone who can find and develop new supporters. You’ll need excellent local knowledge, and the enthusiasm to develop a brand-new fundraising region.
The successful candidate will also be part of the team working on our large-scale project supporting and growing Asda Tickled Pink, our award-winning partnership with Asda and CoppaFeel! which has already raised over £100 million.
You’ll work directly with passionate colleagues across Asda stores in your region driving new fundraising initiatives, inspiring communities and celebrating incredible successes.
No 2 days will look the same as you travel, connect and engage supporters to help us grow income to deliver our mission.

About you
You’re confident in approaching new contacts and are experienced in developing new relationships from scratch. This may currently be in a customer service, account management or stewardship role.
You’re experienced in managing and building new and established relationships with a focus on retention and income growth.
You’re enthusiastic, proactive, organised and unafraid to test and try new ideas.
You’re required to be involved being out and about in the community that you’re building, so you must be able to work independently outside of the office in varying locations and enjoy being busy.
Previous experience working in a charity is not required.

Primary location of role
This is a remote role, and the candidate will need to be based in the Edinburgh area with unlimited access to their own car. Regular travel will be required to meet supporters and visit Asda stores in your region, as well as occasional travel to our London, Sheffield or Glasgow office.

This role will be responsible for delivering support to individuals experiencing complex ill mental health and substance misuse issues, targeting achievable outcomes that promote and deliver positive outcomes for tenants in our services.The post holder will be responsible for delivering evidence-based interventions with a holistic assessment to support personalised recovery and promotion of independent living skills. Key Responsibilities
Support Assessment & Delivery
- Implement and deliver dual-diagnosis support through 1.1 and group sessions to tenants experiencing issues with poor mental health and substance misuse.
- Undertake joint holistic assessments and risk assessments with tenants participating in the service to determine service and support needs and identity where these can be met.
- Provide outcome-based support measured against goals, personal aspirations of the tenant, and their achievements.
- Working with tenants, encourage them to identify their own goals and work towards independence and resilience. The key aims are to reduce the need for acute clinical interventions and hospitalisations.
- Put in place with the tenant, agreed SMART targets with a range of evidence-based interventions that addresses areas of need, such as harm minimisation, prevention of relapse for those in addiction recovery, and improved self-awareness and motivation.
- Through collaborative working with other teams in the organisation, enhance the personalised and choice-led support plan of tenants to integrate with their tenancy support needs and reducing the risk of tenancy loss due to dual-diagnosis issues.
- Help reduce episodes of crisis though support initiatives such as peer-led support groups.
- Be proactive in observing and responding to changing characteristics of tenants receiving support, recognising deterioration in mental wellbeing and putting in place interventions that reduce the likelihood of more acute support needs.
- Be a point of contact for tenants who are on the verge of experiencing a crisis episode, providing appropriate support and interventions to help avoid the need to access acute services.
- Foster positive working relationships with external stakeholders, breaking down barriers and improving access to appropriate support services such as specialised mental healthcare and addiction recovery programmes.
- Develop effective community links that expands support resources that to be offered to tenants.
- Develop all support plans and coaching sessions to embrace the key elements and principles of Trauma Informed Practice and Psychologically Informed Environments.
- Keep up to date with strategies and methodologies used in the support sector to ensure dual-diagnosis support in the organisation remains at a high level for all tenants accessing it.
- Promote the achievements of tenants receiving support through KPI reporting and case studies.
- Recognise goals and aspirations achieved by individuals and using the evidence obtained, formulate and develop future support plans and strategies that enhance the service.
- Work with team leaders and managers to develop our lived experience support in a structured and safe way.
- Deliver practical harm reduction, relapse prevention, and coping strategy workshops.
Risk Management
- Ensure accurate and up to date risk assessments are undertaken, putting in place effective risk management plans to mitigate risk of harm, neglect, and any other areas of risk to the tenant, staff, and wider community.
- Ensure all records and support plans are managed in compliance with organisational policies governing confidentiality, privacy, data sharing consent, and keeping to the requirements and principles of the UK GDPR.
General Responsibilities
- Support colleagues through the sharing of support strategies and techniques that will benefit tenants outside of dual-diagnosis sessions.
- Foster positive and effective working relationships with colleagues in the Housing and Support teams.

Listening Books is a charity that provides an excellent audiobook lending service to people whose illness, disability, specific learning difficulty or mental health condition impacts on their ability to read the printed word. Our audiobook catalogue contains over 10,000 titles and reaches over 100,000 members across the UK. We believe that books should be accessible to everyone. The successful candidate will be responsible for buying and processing all new titles for our catalogue and regularly liaising with publishers to maintain our excellent relationships with them, ensuring all our contracts and paperwork remains up-to-date. The candidate will be responsible for both the administrative and technical aspects of adding new titles to our catalogue via our download platform, OverDrive Inc. Training will be given but a high level of computer literacy is essential. The candidate will also be responsible for managing the budget for titles and must have previous experience of handling basic budgets.
We can offer flexible working arrangements, including remote, office-based, or hybrid options for the right candidate. There is also some flexibility in how hours are distributed across the week; however, we would prefer that a portion of the hours be worked on Thursday or Friday. A salary of £28,000 per annum (pro-rata) and a matched contribution pension scheme up to 8% of salary, following successful completion of the probation period.

The Role
The Senior Finance and Operations Administrator is a critical, multi-functional role supporting the financial, operational and administrative systems of GGF UK. The role will report to the Head of Finance with a dotted line to the Operations Manager on all operational tasks.
Acting as a key liaison between grants management, operations and finance, this role requires taking ownership of specific financial processes – particularly those intersecting with grants payments, forex providers and internal systems. FCDO Research Commissioning Centre (3ie)
1. Background
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) Research Commissioning Centre (RCC) has been established to commission and manage research to enhance development and foreign policy impact. The RCC, co-led by the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) and the University of Birmingham, provides support to FCDO teams for commissioning and delivering high-quality and impactful research. It addresses challenges associated with research bureaucracy by providing a streamlined process for commissioning and delivering FCDO-funded research.
This role is based at 3ie, working closely with colleagues at the FCDO, University of Birmingham and across the RCC consortium. This is a fixed-term position for the RCC, which is a pilot project that began on the 6th June, 2023, and is due to run until the 5th June, 2028. The role is linked directly to the project funding.

2. Position summary
3ie is inviting applications for a Senior Communications Manager to join the FCDO Research Commissioning Centre (RCC) team at 3ie. With the RCC entering its third year of operation, this is an exciting time to join the project.
The role will be responsible for the strategic management of RCC communications and for the oversight and management of the Global Research and Technology Development (GRTD) website . The position will work closely with the team of the FCDO Chief Scientific Adviser and FCDO’s Deputy Head of Research to support the development and rollout of GRTD, suiting a strategic thinker with experience or knowledge of leading communications and engagement campaigns.
The successful candidate will be a highly organised, skilled communicator with excellent command over producing a range of communication and knowledge products such as blogs, policy briefs, infographics, impact stories and case studies, as well as editing technical writing. Prior experience in social media and event management, is desirable. They will be a self-starter with a can-do, team-player attitude.
The ideal candidate will be based in the UK and have the flexibility to travel to London for in-person meetings and events as required. The candidate will need to work according to UK office hours. 3. Key job responsibilities
a) GRTD website development oversight and strategy; FCDO GRTD communications, branding and development
- Work with FCDO to develop a coherent strategy and campaign for engaging with and communicating GRTD to external partners. Manage the relationship with FCDO communications counterparts in delivering the vision for GRTD
- Lead engagement with FCDO to determine design of enhancements and new features for GRTD; oversee these developments, managing external contractors (when required) and working with technical colleagues to ensure developments are fit for purpose
- Collaborate with FCDO teams to support the rollout and visibility of the GRTD brand
- Contribute to the development and implementation of editorial standards, templates, and guidance for GRTD content, in coordination with FCDO and RCC stakeholders
- Assist in the dissemination of impact stories and research outputs that align with GRTD branding and strategic objectives
- Support stakeholder engagement activities and campaigns led by FCDO to promote the GRTD platform, where relevant to RCC-funded research

b) RCC presence on GRTD
- Ensure the RCC is adequately presented on GRTD and that the design and structure of RCC pages is coherent and promotes the RCC vision

c) RCC Communications
Strategy:
- Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of the RCC’s overall communication and engagement strategy, including areas of thought leadership around best practice evidence led by the RCC.
Content:
- Strategise on new communication products (including website content, impact stories, blogs, media articles, social media and multimedia content), launches, events, and online promotions Edit, manage and publish research commissioning call documents and participate and manage related events such as Early Market Engagements, FAQ sessions, etc.
- Work with RCC Grantees and project teams editing and publishing RCC publications and deliverables, including reports, briefs and other publications.
- Create social media content and manage dissemination through 3ie’s social media channels, working with 3ie colleagues (NB: RCC social media channels may be established and in this case the role will directly manage these).
- Events and engagement: Provide end-to-end support for workshops and events, including content, budget, logistics, communication and marketing
- Provide inputs for communication and implementation plans for research funded by the RCC.
d) Project management: Ensure that RCC publications and communications products are processed in a timely manner and published on GRTD
- Maintain and update process documents, guidelines and templates for external communications for the RCC and for communications from grantees.
- Oversee the implementation of and improvements to RCC’s branding and logo suite as needed.
e) Stakeholder support: Work closely with RCC staff to cultivate relationships across the research ecosystem, consortium and with grantees. This is likely to include RCC representation at external events.
f) Support RCC grantees: Provide guidance and advise on dissemination activities to grant recipients. Review and approve the engagement and dissemination products and plans submitted by RCC grant recipients as part of their work on RCC-funded projects and support the wider RCC team to monitor engagement activities undertaken by grantees.
g) Knowledge sharing: Collect and collate impact stories for the RCC to support both learning and reporting requirements
4. Qualifications and skills
- Master’s degree in journalism, public affairs, marketing, or a field directly relevant to international development, including formal communication training. Exceptional candidates with a bachelor's degree and extensive work experience may be considered
- At least seven to ten years of experience in a communication role in development sector.
- Proven ability to plan and implement communication and engagement strategies for organizations and research projects
- Knowledge of tools for graphic design, content management, social media and event management is desirable (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, Mailchimp, Canva, Drupal, etc.)
