We are seeking an individual to undertake the dual role of promoting the profile of the RAF Benevolent Funds welfare offer, whilst also carrying out welfare casework. This is a community-based position working from home but covering the West Midlands: Staffordshire, Shropshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire.

Post holders will be expected to undertake holistic assessment of need both remotely (over the telephone and online) and when required in person across their region. You will be expected to work with individuals who may have complex and sometimes challenging welfare needs, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within both the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector, ensuring that support is made available to meet their need through the case working process. 

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals and will have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of issues affecting the Armed Forces community.

This is home based and the candidate must have their own vehicle for use of traveling around the region covered. Occasional travel to London will be required. The successful candidate for this role will need to be Enhanced DBS checked and prove they have the right to work in the UK.

Overview of the Post

The Community Projects Lead is a member of the youth and community team, leading the delivery of a wide array of community projects across GM, ensuring quality delivery and sustainability of the work.

Delivery

· Lead the delivery of a wide array of projects across Greater Manchester including:

This role has a communications focus and involves editing a weekly email newsletter and an intranet. You’ll be the first point of contact for local CPRE staff and volunteers with queries about the work of their local charities. You’ll organise and support online meetings and events and be involved with measuring and reporting the effectiveness of our work.

The Communities and Participation team is mainly home-based, so applications are encouraged from remote workers with the expectation of travel to meetings and events approximately twice a month, for which expenses are covered.

As Development Assistant you will:

· Have fantastic communication skills and excellent customer service as the first point of contact for all enquiries and managing the Fundraising inbox.

· Enhance the development team through robust administration processes and providing essential administrative support across all income streams, including administering the Cathedral’s Planned Giving scheme.

· Work with the Finance team to efficiently manage payment processes and administration and ensure timely acknowledgement of gifts.

· Support excellent donor engagement and stewardship through thank you letters, mailings, creation of literature and event co-ordination and support.

· Assist collating information and co-ordinating regular supporter communications across different channels to inspire people and demonstrate the impact of support.

· Deepen supporter relationships through accurately recording all income and activities on the Cathedral’s CRM system. Maximise the effectiveness of the CRM and keeping records up to date. (We are currently reviewing our systems, and this role will be instrumental in supporting implementation of any new systems.)

· Assist in the preparation and analysis of data and reports for use by the wider team to support future plans and activity.

· Amplify the prospecting work of the team by undertaking preliminary research and preparing briefing materials, in consultation with members of the team.

· Showcase the work of the Cathedral through supporting event organisation.

· Be keen to develop your fundraising skills and undertake relevant training and skills development to keep up to date with the changing requirements of the role.

· Support the team through additional duties as reasonably required to assist the smooth and efficient running of the Development Team and maximise the impact of the fundraising function. Some weekend and out of hours working may be required.

Governance Administration Assistant

The Governance Team at KCLSU are looking for an Administration Assistant to be the first point of contact for our student groups booking visiting speakers, as well as carrying out general administration support in our governance function and the wider organisation.

Key responsibilities include; 

• Processing the Visiting Speaker Risk Assessment Procedure for low and medium level risk events ensuring compliance with the Visiting Speaker Procedure 
• Processing Joint Risk Assessments between KCLSU and KCL for Visiting Speakers, including liaising with Kings Venues.
• Being a point of contact for Student Groups regarding Visiting Speakers.
• Organising meetings with Student Groups in support of developing informative spaces for students to understand the Visiting Speakers process
• Maintaining and develop data analysis related to Visiting Speaker events for reporting purposes 
• Supporting the Governance Coordinator (Visiting Speakers) in the identification, administration and escalation of incident reporting
• Assisting in the general organisation of meetings, availability of participants, room bookings, room set up, and catering, if required.
• Supporting the Head of Governance in the administration of the Member Regulatory Framework
• Taking notes/minutes of Member Regulatory Hearings and other formal meetings
