The role
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and ambitious Business Development Manager to lead our organisational efforts around income generation. The role is ideal for someone with experience in fundraising and/or business development interested in leading the work of a small but impactful and highly respected charity in the health and social care space.
At National Voices, fundraising responsibilities are shared across the organisation, so it is important that the successful candidate is able to work in a collaborative way with others and is just as happy with rolling up their sleeves and writing bids and supporting others to.

While your primary role will be raising funds for National Voices, you will need to be confident in acting as an ambassador for the organisation and in conveying who we are, what we do and the key priorities of our members and people who use health and care.
Responsibilities
Maintain and grow a strong pipeline of funders and clients
- Overseeing the work of our Membership, Development and Partnership Officer in bringing together weekly information on publicly advertised funding opportunities, periodically testing new search words in line with our strategic and commercial interests.
- Ensuring we have access to relevant tendering frameworks.
- Maintaining a pipeline of charitable Trusts and Foundations.
Write and submit bids, and support others to
- In some instances, leading on bid writing – drafting, costing and submitting high quality bids for both project and core funding.
- In other instances, buddying with staff members on bids – carrying out initial call with funders to check fit of projects, supporting with budget development, sharing previous relevant tender responses to support bid writing, supporting submission, leading on the social value response and more.
Support and co-ordinate fundraising efforts of the staff team
- Co-ordinating the triaging and prioritisation of funding bids within the team, in line with our strategic priorities.
- Matching project ideas from across the team with funding opportunities.
- Organising fundraising meetings and ensuring the organisational income generation tracker is up to date.
- Supporting members of the staff team to develop their business development and fundraising skills.
- ·Providing advice and support to the wider team on compliance with our organisational ethical fundraising policy, the ABPI code, the ABHI code and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
- Maintaining our rate card.
Maintain and develop relationships with prospective funders, clients and organisations we may wish to partner with on funded projects
- Maintaining and developing relationships with grant funding teams at pharmaceutical companies – keeping them updated on our priorities and pitching potential projects for grant funding.
- Alongside other managers and the Senior Management Team, maintaining and developing relationships with development teams at organisations we may want to partner with – consultancy firms, think tanks, research agencies and more.
Manage our partnership scheme
- Take lead responsibility for client management and renewals for organisations on our partnership scheme.
- Coordinate responses to partnership requests within our staff team. Co-ordinate, develop and oversee the delivery of our partnership offer.
General
- Line-manage staff, in the first instance our Membership, Development and Partnership Officer, to include appraisals, setting objectives, monitoring performance and supporting development.
- Review our income generation approach regularly and making suggestions for improvements, using insights from both successful and unsuccessful bids.
- Report progress on our income generation to the board on a quarterly basis.
- Take a pro-active approach to including our members and people with lived experience in all areas of our work.
- Follow processes set out to measure, monitor and communicate the impact of our work.
- Support good project, financial and data management.
- Contribute to the team’s planning activities and undertake other relevant duties as appropriate.
- Deputise for other members of the team when needed.

Our approach to hybrid working
We recognise the importance of coming together regularly, in-person, as a team, so we can share learnings and spend social time with each other. We also recognise that people need flexibility, and that homeworking enables focused work and can fit well in people’s lives.
We ask all staff to take part in pre-arranged team meetings which take place every six weeks in our office space. We also might ask you to meet in-person with members of your team from time to time, or to be available for face-to-face meetings with clients and partners where this enhances the work.
We assume that this would usually not amount to more than one day per fortnight for people who work full time.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.
This role will be prison based. Purpose
This vital role works alongside the Head of Philanthropy to help build and grow our philanthropic partnerships over the next five years and beyond. As well as building upon current relationships, you will identify, research and cultivate relationships with charitable Trusts and Foundations as well as major donors to raise both restricted and unrestricted income.
Responsibilities and areas of work
This important role will focus primarily on Trust Fundraising but will also encompass Major Donor Fundraising. 1. New business acquisition:
a) Researching new individuals and trusts to build a prospect list for future funders, using our database (Salesforce), available lists and external databases. Assessing the potential for active, lapsed and prospective donors to support CBM and recording accordingly.
b) Recommending tactical next steps for engagement with new individuals and trusts, for approval by the Head of Philanthropy.
2. Stewardship and cultivation of current and active donors:
a) Developing and implementing tailored stewardship plans, so that individuals / trusts are engaged in a bespoke manner, and that application and reporting deadlines are met.
b) Leading on the production and submission of applications, proposals and initial approaches (by post, email and, to a lesser degree, phone) and following up as required.
c) Reporting to donors in a formal or informal way, as appropriate, to ensure they are kept up to date with CBM and project developments d)Organising, facilitating and attending face-to-face and online meetings with high-level donors/ trusts, including organising dates and venues, and creating Meeting Briefs for all attendees to ensure positive outcomes.
3. Proposal and Report Writing
a) Designing and crafting compelling proposals, reports, project timelines and budgets that meet the bespoke needs of donors whilst meeting the needs of CBM and our Programme delivery colleagues, within agreed deadlines.
b) Working with members of the Programmes Team to ensure the accuracy of proposals /reports, and with members of the Fundraising & Communications Team to ensure consistency of messaging.
c) Working with the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team to develop new projects/ themes/
appeals for potential projects.
4. Other Team Responsibilities:
a) Helping to develop the Annual Forecast Budget for the Team, and providing updates on the pipeline and progress against targets.
b) Ensuring all information, donor activity is recorded and kept up-to-date on our database to fully-inform any approaches / meetings.
c) Providing proof-reading and copy-editing support to colleagues.
d) Monitoring the activity of related organisations and the fundraising sector, identifying changes, predicting trends and making recommendations as necessary.
e) Helping to develop a culture of enthusiasm and success, reflecting the ambitions of CBM, and promoting positive working and innovation.
f) Ensuring that the values of CBM UK are understood by external partners and always reflected in communications.

What the job involves
We’re an ambitious charity with a bold mission and a fantastic culture. As we embark on an exciting 3-year fundraising strategy, we’re looking for a Senior Direct Marketing Executive to join our Individual Giving Team here at Prostate Cancer UK. This is a newly created role within the team which will oversee acquisition and new product development.
You’ll be part of an exciting time at the charity, joining us as we roll out our new Fundraising strategy and continue investment in Acquisition. In this role you’ll take ownership of planning, implementing and reporting on fully integrated acquisition campaigns across a range of channels including DRTV, Digital, Telephone, SMS and OOH.
You’ll work closely with teams from across the organisation and our media agency to ensure a truly integrated, collaborative approach. Together with the team, you’ll identify opportunities, apply learnings from past campaigns, and enhance future performance.
You’ll also be integral to driving forward new product development to acquire new regular givers. Leading on testing across the Acquisition team, you’ll innovate to drive the lowest attrition, best ROI and strongest lifetime value. You’ll collaborate with colleagues from across the organisation to drive the best creative, messaging, targeting and data insights.
What we want from you
Aside from excellent knowledge and experience of working in a direct marketing environment managing fully integrated campaigns, you’ll also have strong digital campaign management experience, ideally gained from a fundraising environment. You’ll have experience in developing and implementing effective testing strategies and ideally also have experience in developing new marketing or fundraising products.
You’ll possess first class communication skills; a strong team ethic and you will be at ease working with and influencing key internal and external stakeholders at all levels. The ability to manage expenditure budgets and projects is also essential, along with proven knowledge of data protection and sector compliance.

THE ROLE
The full-time Communications and Research Manager reports to the Chief Communications Officer, working to help inform the public about antisemitism using a variety of media.
You will be joining our small, fast-paced, entrepreneurial staff team based at our office in central London.

Responsibilities

You will write and edit journalistic-quality articles about antisemitism, from crime to politics, including investigative pieces

Compose posts for our numerous social media channels, where we have an unrivalled following

Design mailouts for our subscribers, informing them of our latest work and how they can get involved

Draft accessible content for videos and our podcast, working with our Creative team which will use your concepts and content to create final products for our online audience

Cultivate media relationships and provide information and research to journalists in real-time

Help conceive innovative campaigns to raise awareness of antisemitism and educate the public

Submit complaints to media broadcasters, regulators and others when outlets fail to meet their editorial standards

Correspond with members of the public who write in to us

Work with our academic volunteers and pollsters to help explain the nature of antisemitism in Britain, trends and strategies for addressing it

Introduction to the Role
We are looking for a Research and Policy Officer (Maternity Cover) to join our expanding Policy and Research department, which also oversees the TDS Charitable Foundation. This is a pivotal role supporting our mission to improve standards in the private rented sector through impactful research, thought leadership, and policy engagement.
The successful candidate will play a key part in delivering our research programme, including overseeing flagship projects like the Voice of the Tenant and Voice of the Landlord surveys, and producing high-quality qualitative and quantitative research.
You will also support the smooth running of the Charitable Foundation’s grant-making and governance activities and contribute to our work influencing policy and practice across the UK’s private rented sector.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Research
1. Collaborate with external research contractors to deliver the regular ‘Voice of the Tenant’ and ‘Voice of the Landlord’ Survey.
2. Ensure the research findings are widely disseminated through different channels, including events, publications, briefings and digital content.
3. Help identify research gaps and contribute to the development execution of new research projects or commissioning of external research.
4. Conduct proactive desk-based research to identify emerging trends, new policy developments, and partnership opportunities relevant to the Foundation and the sector.
5. Undertake in-house research activities, such as literature reviews, focus groups, stakeholder interviews, where required.
6. Contribute to the drafting and production of high-quality research reports and briefings, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and relevance for policy and practice audiences.
Policy
7. Monitor and analyse relevant legislative and regulatory developments, consultations, and debates, identifying implications for the sector and TDS’s work.
8. Support the development of TDS’s policy positions by preparing briefings, drafting responses to consultations, and summarising evidence from research.
9. Help communicate TDS’s policy insights and positions clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders, partners, and decision-makers.
Charity co-ordination
10. Act as a key point of contact for grant-funded projects, supporting projects to share progress and impact, and identify any support needs.
11. Help to Coordinate the TDS Charitable Foundation’s quarterly Board of Trustee meetings, including preparing board papers, taking minutes, and following up on actions.

1. Qualifications and experience

- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject.
- At least 3 years’ experience in research, social policy or similar role (or equivalent post-graduate study).
- Knowledge of research design
- Proven track record of producing content to communicate to different audiences.

The People & Operations Officer will join a busy operations team. This is a new, multifaceted role, with responsibility for looking after the team and the smooth and safe running of the FNF office and operations.
Key responsibilities
- Office and IT Management: Oversee day-to-day office operations and ensure a productive working environment, including office management and maintenance, supplies, IT systems, and coordination with external providers.
- Health and Safety: Conduct and support risk assessments, maintain incident reporting systems, and act as a trained fire warden and first aider (training provided), ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and audits.
- HR Administration Support: Coordinate recruitment administration, onboarding of new staff, HR data reporting, administration of annual leave and other benefits, HR system maintenance, and maintenance of employee records in alignment with internal policies and regulation.
- Policy, Governance and Operations Support: Assist and coordinate with policy review and development, and provide general operations support including event logistics and administration, coordinating meetings and taking minutes.
The People & Operations Officer will have proven experience of working in a varied operational role within the non-profit sector. You will have demonstrable experience in and/or an understanding of health and safety management, as well as experience of managing relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting HR processes and activities, reviewing and improving processes and experience developing and implementing policies and procedures (desirable).
With excellent attention to detail and exceptional administration skills, you will be confident and committed to suggesting improvements and in developing initiatives that will continually improve efficiencies and ways of working throughout FNF. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with people internally and externally and will demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism. The People and Operations Officer will have a working knowledge of MS Office and strong digital administration and CRM skills (ideally Salesforce). You will be highly organised with the ability to mutli-task and prioritise to meet deadlines whilst being adaptable and flexible.
