About the role:

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves opening doors, building momentum and turning interest into long-term support. As Corporate Partnerships Officer, you’ll be right at the heart of our growing Fundraising team, actively identifying new corporate partners, starting meaningful conversations and shaping partnerships that genuinely add value. From first approach to signed agreement, you’ll play a key role in bringing businesses on board and inspiring them to stand alongside our work.

You’ll split your time between winning new partnerships and deepening existing ones. West Midlands Heritage Trust is seeking a skilled and motivated Finance Officer to join our small, dedicated team working to safeguard historic buildings across the West Midlands. This newly created, permanent role offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement, primarily home-based, with one day per week in a shared office (currently Worcester), bi-monthly evening board meetings, and occasional regional travel.

Working closely with the Treasurer, trustees, external accountants and project teams, you will support the financial management of WMHT and its partner Project Trusts. Responsibilities include maintaining financial records and budgets, processing invoices, monitoring project expenditure, supporting grant applications and claims, ensuring compliance with statutory and funder requirements, and preparing financial reports for the Board.

We are looking for an AAT-qualified (or equivalent) individual with strong bookkeeping and accounting skills, experience using financial systems (e.g. Sage or QuickBooks), excellent communication abilities, and a proactive, organised approach. An interest in heritage and community-based projects is desirable.

Join Us as Executive Director of Corporate Resources

We are seeking an exceptional leader to join us as Executive Director of Corporate Resources. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic leadership and operational management for our Finance, IT, Central Services (including property & facilities, Health and Safety, and Office Management), Data Protection/Information Security, procurement, and contract management functions.

About the Role

As Executive Director of Corporate Resources, you will play a key role in supporting the CEO, Board, and Leadership Team to deliver our vision and strategic aims, with a primary emphasis on financial leadership. You will act as a trusted advisor, lead critical projects and programmes, and ensure the smooth running of essential organisational services.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise the CEO and Board on policy and strategic decisions relating to Corporate Resources
• Lead, manage, and develop the Finance function, ensuring robust financial planning, management, reporting, and compliance
• Oversee IT strategy and provision, ensuring technology meets organisational needs and information security standards
• Lead Central Services, including property and facilities management, procurement, health & safety, and administration
• Provide timely, accurate financial information and analysis to support decision-making
• Develop a culture of business partnering, customer focus, and continuous improvement
• Lead major projects and financial sustainability initiatives

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Significant experience managing finance teams in a complex organisation (ideally charity/public sector, £20m+ income)
• Proven track record of leading corporate services (finance, IT, property, facilities, admin)
• Experience managing multiple income streams and ensuring effective cost recovery
• Strong understanding of property management, health & safety, and risk
• Experience in strategic project and programme management
• Able to influence and advise senior colleagues and Boards

Role Details

• Location: Flexible/Hybrid with national travel
• Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
• Salary: £89,000 pa (inclusive of London weighting if applicable) 
• Holiday: 30 days + bank holidays
• DBS: Basic DBS check required

We are thrilled to be working in partnership with the regional fundraising team to find a passionate, talented individual to join them as a Partnerships Officer. This role will focus on delivering new partnerships with corporate businesses, and raising vital funds to continue invaluable lifelong support for all stroke survivors, just like Leighton.

The Role

As a Partnerships Officer you will build long lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with community organisations. The role will be focused on both developing new strategic partnerships and stewarding existing relationships. The main responsibilities will include:

• Acquiring, developing and growing partnerships with a range of community-based organisations.
• Developing a pipeline, using engaging strategies to achieve effective partnerships.
• Delivering exceptional stewardship, to build strong mutually beneficial relationships.
• Ensuring the long term sustainability of income where value align to meet shared goals.

The Person

We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic person with excellent communication and relationship building skills. You should be excited by the prospect of building a new pipeline and portfolio of partnerships and be confident stewarding relationships with various community organisations.

You must be able to work flexibly to maximise opportunities across, and have the initiative and ability to work with autonomy. Previous experience in fundraising is desirable; however, we are also keen to speak with people who also have the knowledge and experience in building relationships and are keen to transfer this skillset into the rewarding world of fundraising!
