The Meridian One Community Garden is a meanwhile space which primarily grows fruit, salad and vegetable crops. We engage local people in the garden through weekly volunteer gardening sessions, school visits and other community events.

TCV are looking for a Senior Project Officer who has skills and experience in community engagement, delivering events and experience of managing a community facility. The community garden was established three years ago, and the site includes an office, community meeting/education room, toilets and a large polytunnel.

The Senior Project Officer will be able to effectively deliver different tasks as required, from planning and delivering a large community family weekend event to ensuring our site Health & Safety is maintained. The post holder will be able to lead volunteers in practical tasks such as making large, raised wooden planters, help maintain the garden plants during the Spring and Summer growing period and ensure administration tasks are completed on time. These administration tasks are varied and include procurement of materials, creating risk assessments, updating social media posts and completing task reports. The Senior Project Officer will be required to lead the delivery of our under 5's Nature Explorers outdoor playgroup activities, school visits, themed evening events and weekend family events. Additionally, the Senior Project Officer will deliver corporate volunteering sessions and provide holiday cover for our weekly Green Gym gardening session. Our wider events have included women's Pampering and Enrichment evenings, Repurpose, Recycle, Reinvent workshops and a Black Women in Conservation and Horticulture photography exhibition. Our weekend family events provide free food, music and arts and crafts activities. The post holder will also be required to lead occasional practical food growing and conservation activities with volunteers.

This a very much a public facing role and the Senior Project Officer must be welcoming and approachable to a wide range of stakeholders. The visitors to the garden have a wide range of backgrounds and needs, you'll need to be experienced in working with people, from toddlers attending the Nature Explorers club, vulnerable adults, to corporate volunteers and senior staff from our funders and the local authority.

In addition to this Senior Project Officer role, there are two other part time Project Officers working at the garden. TCV offers an excellent, extensive training programme and additional support from a great team of local colleagues.

Usual working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Given the nature of the role the Senior Project Officer will need to work from the garden during these times and home working will be limited, except in exceptional circumstances. Weekend family events take place on Saturdays, four times a year and there are approximately six evening events which take place between April to September. This post holder would be expected to plan & lead on the delivery of those evening and weekend events.

This role would suit someone with previous practical experience of day-to-day management of a community garden or community centre.

Ideally, we're looking for someone with experience of gardening and/or nature conservation. However, what's equally important is that the Senior Project Officer has initiative, is friendly, welcoming, and comfortable working with a wide range people. Summary

We are seeking a proactive and diligent Compliance Officer to join our Recruitment and Operations team. • Oversee the processing and verification of enhanced DBS checks, tutor reference requests and Social online Media checks.

Key Activities

      Donation Processing

• Responsible for the timely recording and processing of all incoming donations (including via our website, bank account, third party platforms and cheques) into the Medair UK CRM (Salesforce).
• Ensure all donors receive gift acknowledgements / thank you letters corresponding to each gift received.
• Maintain up-to-date records of donors, staff and other contacts in the Medair UK database.
• Process and record completed Gift Aid declarations and support in the regular reclaim of Gift Aid.

      Financial Administration

• Inputting of all financial data (income and expenditure) into Quick Books.
• Preparing and following up suppliers invoices for payment.
• Processing expenses claims.
• Managing the banking of income and supporter cheques.
• Support the Head of Operations to implement the month and year end reconciliation process for both Salesforce and Quick Books.

      Facilities & Office Management

• Act as first point of contact for the office and public enquiries, responding to incoming telephone calls and emails.
• Answer basic enquiries about Medair's work and distributing information to supporters and others as required.
• Manage and order office supplies, stationery and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment, administrating risk assessments, H&S and fire safety procedures.

      Information Technology

• Ensuring the maintenance of the IT system and handling minor in-house IT technical issues for staff and volunteers. 
• Liaising with the Global Support Office IT Helpdesk team to ensure the timely set up of IT for new staff and volunteers – i.e. setting up email addresses, and relevant permissions.
• Ensuring that IT permissions are current, and that these are amended as and when staff and volunteers leave.
• Assisting with continuous improvements in Medair UK’s use of IT.

​    Engagement Support

• Supporting fundraising activities with data segmentation and the production of standard and custom reports in Salesforce
• Supporting the production and automation of email newsletter and appeals via Campaign Monitor
• Setting up new Salesforce campaigns with tailored reports and dashboards to track donations.
• Producing digital surveys and web-forms as required.
• Providing support to Medair’s virtual events, including the technical administration of Zoom and pre and post event attendee administration.           

      HR Administration

• Organising and co-ordinating staff and volunteer inductions ensuring that the induction checklist is completed.

Overview

At Operation Smile UK, we work with global colleagues to improve the lives of those living with cleft conditions around the world – by providing surgery and comprehensive care services to patients and strengthening health care systems in the countries where we work. Operation Smile UK’s Partnerships Team works to maximise high-potential income channels such as corporate partnerships, major donors and trusts and foundations. The Partnerships and Philanthropy Officer will play a key role in the team securing critical income from global and national corporate partners and from our network of committed community fundraisers.

· Develop a strong understanding of fundraising platforms such as Just Giving and Enthuse, maintaining their upkeep and reconciliation with Operation Smile's financial and reporting systems

Additional Responsibilities

· Expand your understanding of Operation Smile’s programmatic work globally, of cleft lip and palate conditions, health system strengthening and the global surgery sector

About the role

Fundraising plays an important role in the sustainability of The Brilliant Club, and this is only set to grow in our next strategy. The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for building relationships and creating excellent experiences for a portfolio of supporters and prospective supporters, to help us over raise over £1.4 million each year.

Supporters will be mainly Trusts & Foundations, but also some corporates and individuals. The role will include writing applications for funding, renewing existing partnerships and writing compelling funding reports. The successful candidate will have experience working as part of a fundraising team, or have transferable skills from a similar external-facing role. Hertfordshire Mind Network (HMN) is a local Mind, we are an independent charity, although affiliated to national Mind – the leading mental health charity in England and Wales, we are not funded by our affiliation, we are responsible for raising our own funds directly through contracts, grants and fundraising.

As a Fundraising Officer, you’ll play a key role in expanding our fundraising activity across Hertfordshire. We’re looking for someone proactive and energetic, who can grow connections, raise our profile, and build lasting relationships across the community.

About the role

The Partnerships team is looking for a new member to join our team. You will be working with a variety of major trusts, foundations and statutory sources. This is an exciting opportunity that will enable you to develop your fundraising experience and skills whilst helping us to develop and deliver new initiatives.

Hybrid working with ability to travel to Twickenham Office and our Homes in High Wycombe, Solihull, Surbiton and Worthing.

Purpose of the role

1. To generate funds from major trusts, foundations and statutory sources

Income generation

• Research, identify, and secure income from major and local trusts, foundations and statutory sources that align with our organisational priorities.

• Write compelling and persuasive funding applications, ensuring all required information is accurate and wellpresented.

• Maximise income through both unrestricted and restricted funding opportunities.

• Work closely with the Partnerships Manager to implement the trusts and statutory fundraising strategy effectively.

Donor stewardship and communication

• Provide excellent stewardship to all funders, ensuring reporting and communication requirements are met timely and professionally.

• Maintain and nurture strong relationships with funding organisations and bodies to secure long-term support.

• Collaborate with colleagues to create impact reports and regular updates that bring our work to life 

Finance and administration

• Track and report on income progress against targets, ensuring accurate records are maintained in the CRM system (Donorfy).

• Ensure all fundraising activities comply with relevant legislation and guidelines, including GDPR and safeguarding regulations.

• Support the Partnerships Manager with administrative tasks linked to applications, reporting, and compliance.

Other

• Stay informed of changes in statutory and trust fundraising landscapes, sharing insights with the team.

• Contribute to broader fundraising projects as required.

Person specification

Experience of:

• Securing income (five-figure gifts min) from Trusts, foundations and statutory sources.

• Writing successful funding applications with proven income generation.

• Building and maintaining relationships with funders to support long-term income streams.

• Using fundraising CRMs, ideally Donorfy, to track income and manage relationships.

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to craft compelling applications and impact reports.

• Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.

• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in IT, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and online research tools.

About the role:

The Digital Campaigns Officer role aims to increase the effectiveness of Friends of the Earth’s online actions to engage new supporters and mobilise activists. You will be responsible for putting together the majority of our online actions around the most important environmental justice issues at local, national and international level.

Located in the Campaign Activism team there is a strong emphasis on delivery, as well as proactive implementation of new ideas, creation of reports, and monitoring effectiveness.

Through testing, reporting and applying best practice, you will be helping create online actions that drive new supporters to Friends of the Earth and - ultimately - help us win our campaigns.

Working closely with the digital, marketing, and campaigns teams, you'll optimize our online actions for campaign success. This means making sure actions are supporter-centric, clearly communicating results, and flexibility in supporting your colleagues and channel owners.

About the team:

The Digital Campaigns Officer is part of the Campaign Activism team, which works to make sure that our campaigns work effectively with our activist network, our international network, and makes best use of our supporter base for campaigning. You’ll also be working with a wide range of teams and campaigns across the organisation, including the marketing and digital teams.

About you:

We’re looking for someone who has some understanding of online campaigning, can pick up digital tools quickly, and who is comfortable writing high-quality copy sometimes to tight deadlines. You’ll be working across a variety of different campaigns, so will need to be a well-organised communicator and pick up ideas quickly.

Are you interested in working with a reputed international sustainability organisation to influence policy developments on sustainability globally? ISEAL is hiring a Senior Policy Officer to join our team responsible for public engagement and policy influencing. This is the perfect role for someone who is keen to work in an increasingly dynamic regulatory and policy landscape to strengthen the role of voluntary sustainability tools alongside emerging mandatory measures. 

The core objective of the Policy and Engagement team is to support governments, civil society and other business influencers to understand, identify and use credible sustainability systems.  We do this through direct engagement with relevant government bodies in priority countries, engagement with individual businesses and business platforms and building member awareness and knowledge about relevant policy files and implications of new policies for their schemes and impact. The team focused on the UK, Switzerland, EU-wide policy and key EU members states, as well as on countries in the global south, including Colombia, Indonesia, India and Brazil.

The Senior Policy Officer will help drive engagement with policymakers in key countries in which ISEAL and its partners have a strategic policy interest, with a view to influencing the policy narrative on sustainability and specific policies. The role will identify policy engagement opportunities and provide insightful analysis of policy developments and trends.  In addition, the role will work closely with ISEAL members based in these regions to combine efforts and align on policy influencing.

The ideal candidate will have had exposure to working in an international policy context, either working as part of civic society with governments or as part of a government department. A strong grounding in sustainability issues and related key political and policy debates will be essential, along with some working knowledge of key policy trends in the human rights, climate and sustainability standards space. Prior experience in working in the EU, UK at policy and regulatory landscape or public affairs level will be an advantage. The Senior Officer reports to the Director, Policy and Engagement.

Key Responsibilities we will entrust you with:

Policy and government engagement

• Support ISEAL´s strategic engagement with identified key policymaker targets and audiences from a policy influencing and role of voluntary tools perspective
• Keep track of policy developments in key areas and jurisdictions and provide insights and analysis to inform ISEAL’s policy engagement work
• Help identify opportunities for engagements with relevant policymaker audiences and government agencies in key jurisdictions and engage with them as delegated and supported by other colleagues
• Set up direct meetings and other engagement opportunities for ISEAL, coordinate ISEAL’s input, advise and engagement and prepare briefs, reports and submissions for engagement purposes
• Contribute to establishing engagement and influencing strategies and to the development of ISEAL’s policy positions
• Provide internal advisory support to other teams on critical policy files based on own subject matter and jurisdiction knowledge
• Support team in development of policy papers, position papers, press releases, strategic messaging on policy issues
• Facilitate webinars and workshops on policy related topics

Other

• Track policy developments and analyse how they  affect sustainability systems, ISEAL and its members
• Help shape ISEAL’s work on global policy engagement and outreach in the next strategy period

Experience, Knowledge and Attributes

• Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject (e.g. sustainability or environmental studies, human rights, law, int. development/ social policy, EU policy etc.) and/or equivalent work experience
• Proven experience working in a policy context as part of civic society or within a government department supporting policy engagement
• Good working knowledge of the sustainability policy landscape and key debates in the space
• Strong skills in policy analysis and policy intelligence
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
• Excellent writing skills and ability to synthesise information
• Prior exposure to sustainability standards, passionate about sustainability linked policy issues such as human rights, climate, nature, due diligence  
• Some experience and comfortable with public speaking, e.g. facilitating webinars or workshops
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with cross-functional teams in a largely remote, international environment, including occasional international time-zone calls
• Confidence in using IT systems, familiarity with virtual meeting tools (e.g. MS Teams, Skype, GoToMeeting, etc), use of contact management databases (e.g. Salesforce) and proficiency in MS Office

The children and young people’s bereavement programme in Wales is looking to increase and improve its current services. We are looking for people to take this team forward over the next few years. Working closely with the rest of the Wales team and line managed by the Head of Wales, this is an exciting opportunity for people with empathy, motivation and team working.
