About us

Humane Society International/UK is a global animal protection organisation, striving for a better future for animals through advocacy, education, and hands-on programmes. HSI UK is a leading force for animal protection, with hundreds of thousands of supporters across the country. We are an effective voice for animals, with active programmes in wildlife protection, alternatives to animal experiments, and farm animal welfare. A small but effective team, HSI UK has big ambitions to create further positive change for animals both here in the UK and around the world.

About the position

This is an exciting opportunity for a fundraising professional, passionate about supporter care to play an integral role within the UK team. The Supporter Care and Community Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for our supporter care work in the UK market, including managing the community fundraising income stream. Additionally, this role will provide administrative and logistical support to HSI’s UK team. The position will assist with day-to-day office duties and procurement, supporter administration and volunteer management.
 

This is a great position for someone wanting to take the next step in their career and develop third party fundraising within a growing charity, whilst heading up a support care function for the UK team. We are a friendly and professional team that can offer a welcoming work environment.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Assist with planning, promotion, and delivery of external public-facing events.
  • Address donor and supporter enquiries daily, flagging changes in supporter communication preferences, and processing donations.
  • Write donation receipts and thank you letters to supporters.
  • Respond and manage all social media queries relating to donations.
  • Manage the UK volunteers.
  • Work with the Senior Fundraising Director to develop and manage delivery of a community fundraising strategy and income stream in the UK market. This includes events, mass participation events, and fundraising in aid of supporters.
  • Develop community fundraising tools and resources to support the generation of community fundraising income for the UK market.
  • Assist the Finance and Operations Manager with duties as required, including office administration and procurement

About you

Our successful candidate will be a dedicated, positive and proactive fundraising professional with a passion for looking after supporters and a good understanding of donor care. You will have at least two years proven experience of, and proficiency in, data processing and working with supporter databases, You will also have experience of working successfully in an administrative role (ideally in an office environment). Ideally, you will have experience in delivering community led income.
