Governance and Business Administrator

Somerset Wildlife Trust requires a talented Administrator to join the busy People, Culture & Resources Team.
This is a key post within the Trust communicating with key stakeholders and Teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for career development, joining a team of passionate people committed to working together to achieve more for nature in the beautiful county of Somerset.
The role will provide effective governance organising and facilitating Trust Council and committee meetings. Responsibilities will include scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes for board and committee meetings. The Governance and Business Administrator will be maintaining records, advising on governance procedures and liaising with stakeholders.
As Business Administrator within the People, Culture and Resources (PCR) Team, the role will provide office support, answering telephone calls, emails, handling correspondence and maintaining records. Harris Hill are delighted to be working with an international non for profit organisation to recruit for the Fundraising and Operations Coordinator in order to support fundraising administration and operations to ensure the charity mission continues to thrive. This role is essential to the smooth running of the organisation donor relations, events, and internal operations, helping to keep the charity high-level fundraising efforts running efficiently.
As a Fundraising and Operational Coordinator you will:
- Provide day to day administrative support to the UK Director, managing calendars, meetings, and communications
- Assist in donor stewardship, including preparing thank-you letters, tracking donations, and maintaining donor databases
- Help organise and manage logistics for major fundraising events, such as the annual UK Gala
- Ensure financial compliance and manage donor income processing and Gift Aid claims
- Support with office operations, budget administration, and internal team coordination
To be successful, you must have experience:
- In non-profit fundraising or operations
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in using Salesforce or similar CRM/database systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive team player with a positive, adaptable attitude
Salary: £30,000- £32,000 per annum

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate to take on the permanent role of Regional Operations Manager for our centres in North West London (Brent, Hammersmith, Haringey, North Islington and North Kensington)
As a Regional Operations Manager you will line manage the Centre Leaders in your region to ensure that centres are working effectively, that the high quality of programme delivery to young people is maintained across the cluster, and that targets are monitored and met. About the role
Responsibilities
- To support the Head of Seafarer Learning and Welfare in the effective administration and development of Marine Society training and mentoring programmes.
- To act as first line contact for all internal and external enquiries and to respond to these in a timely manner.
- To receive and process seafarer bursary applications and forward to the Head of Seafarer Learning and Welfare for assessment and approval.
- To accurately track and monitor beneficiaries of the Coming Ashore programme and to provide administrative support to programme mentors.
- To take minutes for team meetings and maintain records and files
- To work with the Digital Marketing Coordinator in the administration and promotion of all Marine Society services through social media and press publications
- To maintain the use of Google Classroom as a communication hub for programme users and bursary recipients and to track their progress and outcomes.
- To input data that will support the production of reports by the Head of Seafarer Learning and Welfare to funders and stakeholders as required.
- To assist the Apprenticeship Delivery Manager in all aspects of administering the apprentice and adult skills programmes.
Requirements
- Good general level of formal education (including English and mathematics GCSE Grade 4/C or above)
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications and virtual meetings software
- Good standard of written and spoken English
