The Finance Assistant supports all aspects of the Hallé’s work at the Bridgewater Hall, the Hallé Venues and concert halls across the UK.
The Finance Assistant works in a department currently comprising Finance Director, Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager and Finance Assistant.
The department is responsible for all aspects of the financial affairs of the Society and its related trusts. The Finance Assistant is responsible to the Assistant Finance Manager.
They take responsibility for processing the day-to-day transactions of the company across purchase ledger, sales ledger and the cash book, and ensure the smooth operation of the office. They will also need to work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Hallé as well as with external customers and suppliers.
The post is full-time permanent based on a 36.25-hour week. Our core office hours are 09.00-17:15, from Monday to Friday. There is an option to work up to 50% of hours from home.

The Foundation believes that there is tremendous value for young people to learn a foreign language and that learning Mandarin Chinese in Britain will enable future generations to develop a greater understanding of China.
The Grants Programme Assistant will support both the Executive Director and the Assistant Manager across the remit of the SCLF’s work to help it deliver its objectives. This is a unique and interesting opportunity to join the organisation at a key point in its ten-year trajectory as it works to support schools to continue their language provision post 2026 and help shape what that future might look like.
The postholder will play a key role when it comes to supporting the Executive Director and Assistant Manager in their day-to-day roles and get very involved in the operations of the Foundation. The work will cover wide remit of areas including: financial administration, supporting with termly funding reports-and-request process for schools, preparing internal expense requests and maintaining the expenses log. You will support with the annual Grant Agreement extension process, general programme administration, the annual data requests and the organisation of annual assessment visits to Centres. The postholder will maintain relationships with the Foundation’s network of schools and other institutions. You will support with board administration, scheduling meeting dates, manage logistics and support with the preparation of papers. You will also support with event administration for two annual conferences and also sit in on many of the meetings which the Foundation holds with various stakeholders and take meeting notes where possible.
You will have strong verbal and written communication skills and experience working with and maintaining good relations with a variety of different stakeholders. You will have a thorough approach to tasks and attention to detail. You will have a curiosity about and interest in the work of the Foundation. You will be flexible and have an adaptable approach to tasks. You will be comfortable working within a small team and also be able to work on your own initiative. The role
We are looking for an Executive Assistant to support our CEO and COO. The Director of Finance Business Partnering (Operations) is a critical role within the Financial Strategy, Planning & Performance division that will lead, develop and deliver high quality finance business partnering and decision support to all the central services of the university, including providing financial planning, reporting and insight across revenue and capital funded activity.
You will support the senior Director of the Financial Strategy, Planning & Performance function in development and improvement projects. This is an exciting new post which will aim to provide support as The Maypole Project develops as a charity and service provider to children with complex medical needs and their families.
What you will do:
- Provide administrative and technical support to the team
- Scheduling appointments both internal and external
- Travel management, preparation of travel itineraries

Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, organised, and energised individual to join our team as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director. This role will involve providing comprehensive support to the Executive Director. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient management of time, priorities, correspondence, meetings, and communications.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
· Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the charity sector.
· High-level administrative, executive, organisational, and project management experience.
· Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced and complex environment

· Reliability and excellent organisational abilities.

Key Responsibilities
· Manage the Executive Director’s diary, including scheduling meetings, coordinating with
colleagues to align diaries, and prioritising tasks in line with strategic priorities.
· Represent the Executive Director and OIN by greeting visitors, handling phone calls, and
managing communications with internal and external stakeholders.
· Manage key reporting processes, including receiving, approving, distributing reports, and
filing them accurately.
· Attend and minute meetings, both internal and external.
· Support the Executive Director in producing high-quality materials such as presentations,
documents, and reports, liaising with external agencies when necessary.
· Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for the Executive Director.
· Manage expenses and financial records for the Executive Director.
· Assist in the preparation of proposals, applications, and reports, providing administrative
support as needed.
· Support the Executive Director in maintaining relationships with donors, partners, and
stakeholders..
· Conduct research and gather information on relevant topics as requested.
· Facilitate internal communications within the organisation, including disseminating

The Role:
As a PA to the Directors, you will play an essential role in in facilitating the smooth operation of the organisation by working closely with executive directors to provide leadership support.
Main responsibilities:
*Provide high-level support to two executive directors, handling communications and diary management.
*Be the first point of contact for executive directors, managing their inboxes and drafting communications on their behalf.
*Take accurate minutes during meetings and manage action logs, ensuring follow-up on commitments.
*Act as the secretariat for the directorate, leadership team, and project/programme boards, coordinating meetings, agendas, and logistical arrangements.
*Coordinate specific projects and events, providing administrative support and ensuring smooth execution.
*Manage finance processes including invoice payments, expenses, and team credit cards, ensuring compliance and accurate record-keeping.
*Collaborate with the Leadership Support team to streamline processes and improve efficiency across the executive leadership team.
Essential requirements:
*Strong time management skills to handle tight deadlines and conflicting priorities effectively.
*Excellent interpersonal skills.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal communication skills.
*Ability to solve problems quickly and find innovative solutions.
*Experience in a PA/EA role supporting multiple executives and managing complex diaries.
*Experience in managing committees or boards, including agenda management and minute-taking.
*Familiarity with financial processes and handling confidential information with discretion.
