Robertson Bell is exclusively partnering with Social Interest Group (SIG) to recruit an Interim Finance Director on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This is a pivotal senior leadership role within a dynamic, mission-driven organisation delivering life-changing support services across housing, mental health, addiction recovery, and complex needs.

With the Group’s new five-year strategy recently launched, this role will play a vital part in shaping and delivering the organisation’s financial approach to support its long-term ambitions. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with both the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board, the Interim Finance Director will provide visible, robust financial leadership while safeguarding the long-term financial sustainability of the Group.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Providing robust, strategic financial advice to the CEO, SLT, and Board, ensuring sound financial insight underpins all key decisions.
• Driving the development and implementation of short, medium, and long-term financial strategies aligned to the Group’s new five-year strategic plan.
• Ensuring effective management of corporate risks, working through the Director of Compliance, Risk, and Internal Audit, and reporting to the Board as required.
• Acting as the SLT lead for contract oversight and procurement, ensuring appropriate financial governance, pricing models, and value-for-money outcomes.
• Providing clear leadership to the finance team, working closely with the Head of Finance (direct report), and supporting the ongoing development of a high-performing finance function.
• Taking ownership of finance system optimisation, budgeting, scenario planning, and overseeing both internal and external audits.
• Managing legal, insurance, and risk arrangements, including acting as the lead for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning.
• Supporting the implementation and delivery of SIG’s environmental strategy, embedding sustainable practices across the Group’s operations.

The successful candidate will bring:

• Proven experience in leading organisational change within the charity (ideally social care) or housing sectors, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
• Strong cashflow management expertise, ideally gained in environments with high staffing costs and low margins.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with and influence Boards and committees, with a clear articulation of financial risks and strategy.
• A balance of strategic vision and hands-on financial leadership, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams and fostering cross-functional engagement.
• A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

We are seeking a new Finance and Administration Officer following the upcoming retirement of a long-serving team member. A key member of the SLA central office team, the Finance and Administration Officer plays a vital role in ensuring smooth financial operations and providing essential administrative support for our membership. In addition to administration support, this role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, book-keeping and effective day-to-day financial operations, producing financial reports using XERO and our CRM.

You will be experienced in financial and administration operations of a charity or similar , with an AAT qualification or matching worked experience. Familiarity with XERO will be an advantage. You will be able to bring understanding of cashflow and financial analysis of figure, working with accountants as required.

You will also have excellent customer service skills and be able to work effectively with all stakeholders from our members, to funders to suppliers. You will be determined and have an excellent eye for financial and administrative detail. Your duties will include general administration and:

Financial operations and record-keeping

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate records of all SLA accounts and petty cash; book-keeping
• Process and record all incoming payments, including foreign cheques (into bank account)
• Monitor cashflow and expenditure, keeping track of spending
• Pay invoices upon approval and ensure timely monthly payments (e.g. pensions, HMRC)
• Handle creditor and supplier communications and resolve related issues
• Monitor and follow up on overdue payments with a focus on membership payments

Invoicing and income tracking

• Issue and track membership and subscriber invoices and reminders
• Keep office team informed of payment statuses
• Prepare sales, cost, and profit reports for SLA publications
• Conduct annual publications stock take

Payroll and reporting

• Liaise with the accountant on salary payments; process salary BACS payments
• Support year-end financial reporting by providing necessary documentation to accountants
• Produce regular financial reports and analysis as required
• Supporting preparation of budgets, working with accountants as required

 Event financial administration

• Manage financial aspects of SLA events, particularly the annual conference (e.g., exhibitors, sponsors, and delegates)
• Process and record staff/trustee expense claims
• Support with bookings accommodation and travel for Board meetings

To be successful in this role you should demonstrate:

• Strong experience in financial and office administration
• Knowledge of accounting principles  
• Experience of working with XERO or similar
• Experience of using CRM systems (ideally IMIS)
• Experience of working for a small charity and / or membership association
• Accuracy, numeracy, attention to detail
• Ability to manage own workload, prioritise and meet competing deadlines

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Business Support Manager to support the delivery of our new five year Strategic Plan.

This exciting new role will act as the bridge between our Operations and Central Services. The Finance & HR Lead

We are looking for a Finance & HR Lead to take charge of the financial health of our charity by administering a high quality and effective financial management service to The OutHouse. The OutHouse is going through a period of change and we need a finance practitioner who is able to support the organisation in its financial management. You will also have oversight of our HR function. This is a busy role within a small team that is looking to make a huge difference within our community. Key Activities & Responsibilities

As Finance & HR Lead, your key activities and responsibilities will be to:

Finance Responsibilities

• Provide a high quality and effective financial management service to The OutHouse.
• Prepare, develop and analyse finance and accounting information, including income and expenditure processing, ensuring information is timely precise, clear, informative and understood
• Keep good quality accounting records for our charity by preparing annual accounts and maintaining up to date records on our accountancy and book-keeping systems (making any recommendations for improvement as necessary)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to be responsible for our day-to-day office management.  This is a pivotal role in keeping our office running smoothly and providing a welcoming and safe environment for staff and visitors.

The role

The person will report jointly to the BIICL Director and the Director of Governance and Operations and will carry out the following duties:

General Management

• Overseeing daily office operations and maintaining a professional, welcoming environment.
• Being the first point of contact for calls, visitors, and general office enquiries.
• Handling outgoing and incoming mail and deliveries and ensuring efficient distribution.
• Oversight of facilities and day-to-day liaison with building management to ensure facilities are well-maintained.

Into Film is the UK’s leading charity for film in education and the community. We provide screen industry careers information and advice, support young filmmakers, and bring the power of moving image storytelling into classroom teaching.

We also run the annual Into Film Festival which enables more than 400,000 pupils to visit the cinema for free, and the Into Film Awards – the UK’s leading showcase for young filmmaking talent.

Role Summary

The main function of the Bookings Team Executive role is to provide high quality customer service for the Into Film Festival. This will mean receiving calls, processing bookings and liaising with educators through email and by phone. It will also involve making outbound calls to drive bookings, speaking to attending teachers and liaising with cinemas to ensure the festival runs smoothly. This is an exciting, front-line, varied role requiring high level communication skills and a solution focused attitude. It is an opportunity to develop customer service and CRM (Salesforce/Aerian) skills and to work for the world’s largest film festival for young people.  This role is offered on a fixed term, three-month basis.

Main Responsibilities:

• To be the first point of contact for public festival enquiries; answering calls and emails, processing bookings and problem solving.
• Proactively reaching out over email and phone to educators/bookers, aiming to sign them up to the festival.
• Liaising with the festival team to ensure all enquiries and issues are resolved.
• Checking, updating and uploading booking information onto our festival website (via Aerian - training available).
• Updating the daily incident log (via Excel) - this is used for tracking all enquiries/issues from cinemas. 
• Liaising with exhibitors as and when required and as directed.
• General support in relation to all aspects of the festival.
• Any other reasonable duties assigned by Into Film.

General Responsibilities:

• Commitment to quality internally and in all dealings with Into Film’s stakeholders including teachers, children and young people, industry partners, funders, supporters, parents and carers, and members of the public.

JOB PURPOSE

The Fundraising and Communications Executive will play a key role in implementing OTR’s fundraising and communications strategies. The role involves planning, creating, curating and managing high-quality digital content across our website, social media platforms and email marketing campaigns. Furthermore, you will support key areas of our fundraising strategy, including trust and grant applications, horizon scanning and ensuring excellent fundraising administration across all areas of activity.

This position is instrumental in supporting the Head of Fundraising in developing and strengthening OTR’s income streams and increasing awareness of OTR’s services through effective communications. 

Specific role duties

Supporting the fundraising strategy

• Lead on OTR’s donor and community fundraiser stewardship through excellent communication and effective relationship management.

• Lead on the implementation of fundraising communications across channels.

• Responsible for small to medium size trust and grant applications, including horizon scanning

• Support the stewardship of small and medium-sized trusts and foundations including scoping, applications, reporting and funder management.

Website and CRM maintenance

• Work with OTR’s Head of Fundraising, the Administration Manager and web developer to maintain, update and enhance the OTR website.

• Lead on ensuring our CRM (Donorfy) is utilised effectively to record, monitor and report on fundraising activity and income.

Social media

• Working with the Head of Fundraising, CEO and Volunteer Coordinator and Business Support Officer, contribute to OTR’s social media presence by creating and scheduling engaging, accessible, and informative content that resonates with our audience and supports OTR’s mission.

• Monitor social media platforms to ensure timely and appropriate responses to comments and messages.

• Identify new opportunities to grow OTR’s social media reach, building awareness of our services, fundraising and outreach work.

• Regularly report on social media performance, using insights to inform future content and strategy.

Email marketing

• Support the planning, creation, and delivery of OTR’s, soon to be launched, email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, fundraising initiatives and service information and signposting.

• Assist in the promotion of key OTR events, such as the Big Charity Bash and annual Great South Run and other special events.

Content creation

This pivotal role involves driving earned income, managing financial health, and expanding the reach of their therapeutic arts programs across South Wales and the UK.

The Business Manager will oversee the operational and financial management of the charity, ensuring the organisation is efficient, sustainable, and aligned with its mission. They will focus on earned income generation and working to increase it in line with the business plan. They will be outward-facing, generating new business with local authorities, care providers, schools, hospitals and hospices. They will work closely with the CEO, and Head of Programme to introduce the 2R programme to new guests across South Wales, and with the Membership Officer to extend our membership programme across the UK.

The Business Manager will play a crucial role in managing the charity's financial health, ensuring resources are effectively utilised to support its mission and goals.
