Title: Head of High Value Operations

The Head of High Value Operations role is central to our bold fundraising ambitions. Establishing and leading a team of operations professionals encompassing research, data and insight, case for support, special events, and supporter care, the Head of High Value Operations will drive income growth by embedding best practice in fundraising operations, developing the processes and systems which support fundraising, and building strong networks across Anthony Nolan in support of fundraising. Reporting to the Chief of Fundraising, and part of the Fundraising SLT, we’re looking for someone who is a natural relationship builder, someone who understands the key components of an operations team in a fundraising context, and someone who is excited to build a team and programme from the ground up, using their skills and experience in this field.

Job Purpose: As the Shop Manager for the CPS shop in Maida Hill, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive and inclusive environment while managing the day-to-day operations of the shop. Property and Housing Management

• Ensure the accommodation in which residents live is clean and maintained to a high standard
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance issues are correctly reported and managed through to completion.
• Ensure a provision of high quality housing management service is provided to residents. 

Financial Management

• Manage the service budget and review monthly management accounts: Set budgets and ensure resources are maximised.
• Promote effective cost control mechanisms and other financial activities.
• Maintain financial management within the service.

Other

• Some of what else is included: Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required. 

Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position. Please refer to the JDPS attached for more information.

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Understanding and/or experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours
• Experience of working with and engaging with diverse groups of people from varying backgrounds
• Previous experience in people management and development
• IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software.
• Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders
• Understanding of Housing Management, including voids and evictions

The Role

As a Project Lead for the ASB team you will be:

• Managing a small team of ASB caseworkers including performance management, monitoring and support
• Responsible for allocating cases within the team and analysing statistics and data in order to monitor daily caseloads against resources and look for trends/ pattern of behaviour
• Working with the Operations Manager to ensure delivery of the business plan and associated outcomes
• Responsible for capturing data and information to ensure the work of the team is outcome based and evidenced
• The subject matter expert for ASB within the service
• With key partners, developing mechanisms for identifying and referring those affected by ongoing and persistent ASB incidents and crimes, including those not engaged in criminal or civil law processes
• Completing DSO training to prioritise the safety of service users and ensure compliance with safeguarding policy
• Leading on delivery of training to local agencies, organisations and bodies to represent the service and increase knowledge and understanding of issues related to the ASB
• Contributing to and attending monitoring meetings with funders/commissioners and providing reporting when required
• Playing a lead role in developing VS’s ASB work at both local and national levels
• When the service requires, holding a small caseload providing high quality support to service users in line with VS policies and operating procedures.

The role is home-based within Devon and Cornwall and therefore is open to applicants who both live in this area and have access to an appropriately confidential space in which to work.  Regular travel within working hours will be expected across Devon and Cornwall to fulfil the role and travel expenses are paid.  Core service hours are between 9am – 5pm, with the expectation to flex to need where required, managed within flexible working arrangements.

You will need:

• As this role involves regular travel across Devon and Cornwall and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement
• Experience of managing a team
• An understanding of confidentiality and safe working practice in accordance with safeguarding legislation, General Data Protection Regulation and other legal requirements
• Experience of effective delivery of services in the voluntary or statutory sector including complex case management and maintaining case management records

In this role you will take the lead on creating an office environment that your colleagues will truly want to spend time in while continuing to ensure they can work seamlessly wherever they are. We will need you to be able to see the bigger picture and be comfortable working directly with senior leaders across the business.

You will ensure a keen focus on delivering excellent operational services and processes, including health and safety, building maintenance, office management, ICT, risk management and business continuity, working collaboratively with our external operational partners.   

You will have great ideas and think creatively about how you can ensure every Prospectus employee has a great working experience. You’re also practical and able to use your initiative to ensure those day-to-day operational niggles every business has don’t get in the way of that employee experience!  

Our Operations Assistant will report to you. 

You will have experience in office or facilities management but have seen your role evolve over the last few years as office-based work has moved towards remote and hybrid models. If you are now ready to take what you have learnt during this period to further your Operations career and embrace a more strategic, forward-thinking role we’d love to hear from you.  

Previous experience covering ICT, health and safety, managing supplier relationships and office management is essential.

The Role

As an IT Manager, you will ensure our information technology infrastructure, systems, policies and applications are secure and reliable.

You will provide thought leadership regarding our IT systems, policies, and applications, alongside having oversight of IT risk management and the implementation of our IT strategy.

Spending the majority of your time managing our IT estate, you will also be involved in IT strategy and associated policies and risk management and business continuity activities. You will take the lead on IT training and awareness and undertake some system administration for our MS Dynamics system.

Additionally, you will:

- Manage our IT budget and equipment
- Review existing IT contracts for outsourced services
- Lead in the development, review and execution of our IT strategy
- Develop an annual work plan for implementation
- Identify, evaluate and mitigate IT risks
- Develop and implement existing IT risk management policies and procedures
- Devise and deliver comprehensive cyber security awareness training to staff

About You

To be considered as an IT Manager, you will need:

- Experience with business continuity planning and disaster recovery strategies
- Experience leading IT training programmes
- Experience presenting to colleagues and running training sessions
- Strong knowledge of cyber security practices and risk management frameworks
- Knowledge of data privacy laws
- Relevant qualifications and experience in information technology, computer science or a related field

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Network Stock and Logistics to join a fantastic charity working to make a difference to families with babies and young children living in poverty across London.

Location: The role is home-based with weekly visits to the charity’s warehouse and hubs across London

Salary: £35,000 - £37,000

At the heart of the charity is the regifting of pre-loved baby equipment, clothes and toys onto other families. The charity want to make it as easy as possible for families to pass on their items and this new role will support inventory management across all sites.

As Network Stock & Logistics Manager, you will take a network-wide view of all stock and logistics. Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations, supplier relationships, continuous improvement initiatives, and strategic planning. This will include both the inbound and outbound movement of stock, as well as London-wide logistics infrastructure and contracts. You will work closely with the warehouse team on stock levels, policies and procedures, as well as with hub teams to have a complete picture of network stock levels and needs, in order to make efficiencies, improve stock flow and engage with the community.

The successful candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas: logistics, retail, procurement, community engagement, and will be a confident and articulate person, who enjoys engaging with stakeholders from all backgrounds, whether it is a school or religious group, large corporate partner or individual donor. You must be practical and well-organised, happy reorganising a spreadsheet of stock items and must be a keen problem solver and strong team player.

About this Role

Together with the Director of Fundraising, the Philanthropy Manager will develop and deliver the Philanthropy Strategy, with the support of the Philanthropy Assistant.  This is a significant part of the organisation’s overall Supporter Engagement Strategy which focuses specifically on unrestricted income generation.  This role will raise unrestricted income through the development of Amref UK’s Major Gifts programme - the Mbele Movement - by identifying and cultivating new high net worth supporters, and inspiring them to make unrestricted, multi-year major gifts, in line with the Philanthropy Strategy. The Philanthropy Manager is also responsible for nurturing and growing our existing portfolio of philanthropists and philanthropic organisations by building strong relationships and securing unrestricted income in line with the Supporter Engagement Strategy.
